Poland President Karol Nawrocki meets with Philippine President Ferdinand Marcos in Manila, marking the first visit by a Polish president to the Southeast Asian country. The two countries signed a mutual legal assistance agreement in criminal matters and discussed cooperation in various areas such as defence and security, trade, and industry.

01:00Palas, the very first Polish president to visit us here in the Philippines. President Navrotsky's
01:07historic visit marks an important milestone in the growing partnership between the Philippines
01:12and Poland and sustains the momentum of recent high-level exchanges. During our bilateral meeting
01:19this afternoon, President Navrotsky and I discussed our country's ongoing and prospective cooperation
01:25in areas such as defense and security, trade, industry, agriculture, science and technology,
01:34ICT, energy, legal cooperation, and people-to-people connection. We welcomed in particular the steady
01:41progress in Philippines-Poland defense cooperation, which includes our acquisition of S-70 Black Hawk Combat
01:48Utility Helicopters from Poland as part of the modernization program of the Armed Forces of the Philippines.
01:55We look forward to building on the outcomes of the inaugural Philippines-Poland Joint Defense
02:01Cooperation Committee, including through joint training and educational opportunities.
