00:00In orbit, the cost structure looks completely different.
00:04The initial investment is brutal. Transport is expensive. The technology is risky.
00:10But once the hardware is up there, entire categories of costs disappear.
00:16No electricity bill, no water, no grid expansion, no new permits for every additional megawatt.
00:23Operating costs drop dramatically, while scaling becomes easier.
00:27That means orbital compute isn't a short-term savings model. It's a source of long-term strategic leverage.
00:36Whoever invests early pays more at first, but at a certain point gains a structural advantage
00:42that conventional Earth-based facilities can no longer overcome.
00:47And that point doesn't arrive gradually, it comes abruptly.
00:51As soon as new computing power can be provided more cheaper in orbit than on Earth,
00:56the market tips. From that point on, existing facilities will continue to operate,
01:02but new builds lose their economic justification.
01:06That is the moment when investments shift.
