00:00Turkey and Pakistan say they will deploy troops to Saudi Arabia as Houthi attacks on the Kingdom escalate.
00:06The three countries announced the move after an emergency meeting in Riyadh to discuss recent attacks, including those targeting Mecca
00:14and Medina.
00:16In a joint statement, the three countries said they would put their defence pack into action and arrange for Turkish
00:22and Pakistani forces to deploy rapidly to Saudi Arabia.
00:25However, the statement did not say when the troops would arrive or what role they would play in Saudi Arabia.
00:31Turkey, Pakistan and Saudi Arabia signed the Mecca Joint Defence Agreement in August, pledging to assist one another if any
00:39of them came under attack.
00:41The pack brings together Turkey, which has NATO's second largest army, nuclear-armed Pakistan and Saudi Arabia.
