00:00The family thought they'd found the deal of a lifetime, an entire chicken for just one dollar.
00:04But when the dish arrived, the bowl was piled high with chili peppers,
00:07with only a few scattered pieces of meat hidden underneath.
00:09Since they hadn't had a proper meal in an entire month, they decided to grit their teeth and eat
00:13it anyway.
00:14But after just one bite, the mother was already sweating profusely from the spice.
00:17The boy's lips swelled up instantly, and the father's eyes streamed with tears from the heat.
00:21The father couldn't take it anymore and wanted to stop, but the waiter informed them of the rules.
00:24If they didn't finish everything, they'd have to pay a fine 500 times the price.
00:28To save money, they had no choice but to grit their teeth and keep eating.
00:31Every bite of chicken felt like molten lava, scorching their throats and mouths.
00:35They wanted to order water to cool the burn, but a single bottle cost $50.
00:38Once they finally managed to finish all the chicken,
00:41the waiter told them the broth left in the bowl also had to be finished,
00:44or they'd face the same 500 times fine.
00:46With no other option, they picked up their bowls and started drinking the broth.
00:49The mother finished hers first and rushed off to the bathroom, but the moment she left,
00:52the others secretly poured the leftover broth from their own bowls into hers.
00:55When she came back and saw her bowl full again, she nearly burst into tears.
00:59But to save money, she forced herself to drink it all down anyway.
01:02Before long, the whole family rushed to the bathroom together,
01:05gulping down tap water trying to ease the burning pain in their stomachs.
