Blox Fruits Update 30 reworked the entire First Sea, and this beginner guide shows you how to progress from level 1 on the Starter Island to Jungle Island. It also covers how to get all 3 Jungle Island stars. We go through the new island secrets and star system, the Middle Town changes (Blox Fruit Gacha, Secrets Master, island teleporters), the Monkey and Gorilla quests, and the reworked Gorilla King boss fight with attack indicators. We also do the Zipline Repair, Awakened Gorilla King and Thieving Monkey secrets, plus the Saber puzzle and the diamond chest location.

00:00Hey guys, Update 30 just came out, and the whole first sea in Bloxfruits has been reworked.
00:04Every island was rebuilt, all the bosses were refreshed, and every island now has hidden secrets and star ratings.
00:10So here is a guide on how to progress through the game from the very beginning.
00:13As always, you start on a starter island, either the Pirate Starter Island or the Marine Starter Island, depending on
00:19which team you pick.
00:20You can always switch by reconnecting to the game and choosing the other team.
00:24Both islands look completely different after the rework, but everything you need is still here.
00:27Blox Fruit Dealer, a Sword Dealer, a Boat Dealer, and the quest NPC.
00:31Here you can accept a quest to defeat 5 enemies.
00:34On the Pirate side, they are bandits, and on the Marine side, they are trainees.
00:38But it is the same quest with a different name.
00:40Make sure to spam this quest until you are at least level 10.
00:43If you are playing on PC, turn on Shift Lock for more precise aim.
00:47It makes a big difference in fights.
00:48You can also open the Silver and Gold chests around the island for additional cash.
00:52Silver chests respawn every 3 minutes, and the Gold chest on the Marine Tower every 6.
00:57Or, you can hop servers to refresh them instantly.
00:59It is not much, but at this level, every bit counts.
01:02The stats menu was redesigned in this update, but it works the same.
01:05I will beef up my melee and defense, since we don't have a Sword or a Blox Fruit yet,
01:09and these two boost our damage, health, and energy bar.
01:12One more tip.
01:13You can use the free Blox Fruits codes that the developers regularly update.
01:17You can find them on my website GameSteed.org, which I will link in the description.
01:21I recommend saving them for later, though, since grinding XP gets harder as you level up.
01:25Once you reach level 10, you will be notified that you can proceed to Jungle Island.
01:29You can set your track with the compass, and grab a free dinghy from the boat dealer.
01:33And now, we can continue to Jungle Island.
01:35Before we land, let me quickly explain the biggest new thing in Update 30, the Island Secrets.
01:40Every island in the first sea now has three secret quests hidden on it,
01:43and each one you complete gives you a star.
01:45Some are small puzzles, some are events that trigger after you spend a bit of time on the island,
01:50and one on every island is a fight against the awakened version of that island's boss.
01:53Once you complete your first secret anywhere, the new world map unlocks on your HUD,
01:58and it shows every island how many stars you have on each one, and which island is recommended next.
02:03Once you have all three stars on an island, that island's teleporter unlocks in Middletown,
02:07so you can teleport there whenever you want instead of sailing.
02:10And on top of that, secrets give you secret levels,
02:12which are the new way to level past the old cap of 2,800, all the way to 3,000.
02:17The starter islands don't have any secrets,
02:19so Jungle Island is the first place we can start collecting stars,
02:23and we will get all three in this video.
02:25On the way there, you will sail right past Middletown,
02:27and this island got a lot more important in Update 30,
02:29so let me quickly show you what is on it.
02:31Most of the things here only become useful at higher levels,
02:34so we are not stopping for long, but it is good to know what is waiting for us.
02:38The biggest change is the Blox Fruit Gotcha.
02:40He used to stand on top of the rocks on Jungle Island,
02:43and in this update, he was moved here to Middletown.
02:45This is the guy you can gamble with for a random Blox Fruit,
02:48but you can only use him from level 50, so we will come back to him later.
02:51We also have an NPC called the Secrets Master,
02:54and he is the one who tells you which boss is going to awaken next.
02:57Then you have the Blox Fruit Dealer, who sells fruits for belly,
03:00the weapon dealer for swords and guns, and boat dealer.
03:03This is also where all the island teleporters will appear as we collect our stars,
03:06and of course, you can always teleport here using this button.
03:09And of course, Middletown has three stars of its own to unlock.
03:12Those secrets are a bit more involved than the ones we are doing today,
03:15so we will come back and do them in a future video once we are strong enough.
03:18For now, let's keep sailing to Jungle Island.
03:20Jungle Island was rebuilt as well, with much denser foliage and new bridges,
03:24but it is still split into two parts.
03:26The bigger island has the monkeys and the stone structures,
03:29and the smaller island has the gorillas and the gorilla king.
03:31One thing that is missing after the rework,
03:34there is no spawn point NPC on Jungle right now.
03:36If you disconnected here, you will simply spawn back here.
03:39As mentioned, the Blox Fruit gacha that used to stand on top of the rocks here
03:42has been moved to Middletown.
03:44There is just a note left at his old spot.
03:46The quest NPC is the adventurer, who is now bald for some reason.
03:50You can find him in the stone block with the staircase in the middle of the island.
03:53Something new in Update 30 is that quest givers have a rumors option in their dialogue.
03:58If you pick it, the adventurer complains that a monkey stole his hat.
04:01Remember that, because it is one of the three secrets on this island,
04:04and we will come back to it.
04:05We can start with the monkey quest.
04:07Just defeat six monkeys around this area.
04:09They are really weak.
04:10Each run gives 800 Beli and around 2,300 XP.
04:14Repeat it until level 15.
04:17At level 15, we move on to the gorilla quest on the second island.
04:21If you have eaten a Blox Fruit, watch out that you don't fall into the water.
04:24You can just spam the dash key across.
04:26Eight gorillas per run, 1,200 Beli and 4,500 XP.
04:30We can group about three gorillas at once by aggroing them for easier farming.
04:34Repeat this one until level 20.
04:38While we are on this island, let's grab our first star.
04:41The first secret is called Zipline Repair.
04:43Near the Gorilla King, there is a tree with a platform on it.
04:46And on the ground next to that tree, you will find a grappling hook.
04:48Pick it up, climb onto the zipline platform on the tree,
04:51and throw the hook to the other zipline platform across the water.
04:56That fixes the zipline, so we never have to dash across the water again,
05:00and it gives us our first star.
05:01At level 20, we can go back and start the Gorilla King quest,
05:04which is our first boss encounter.
05:06Boss fights got a full rework in update 30.
05:08When you get close, the camera turns toward the boss,
05:10and his eyes start glowing red.
05:12He has his own theme.
05:13You can see what he can drop before you even start.
05:15And the biggest change, every attack now has an indicator on the ground,
05:18so you can see exactly where it is going to land.
05:20The Gorilla King is still all about the ground slam,
05:23which stuns you and does a lot of damage.
05:25Now you can see it coming, so the moment the indicator appears, dash out of it.
05:29If you have any longer range abilities, use them and keep your distance.
05:33I would still recommend a slightly higher level than 20,
05:36since he can be quite strong.
05:37I like to hit him to bait out his attack, dodge, and then go all out.
05:41The quest gives 2,000 belly and 9,500 XP,
05:45and he respawns about two minutes after his defeat.
05:48Every first sea boss also has a new awakened state,
05:51and defeating it is the second secret on this island,
05:53called Awakened Gorilla King.
05:54Every hour the Gorilla King has a chance to awaken.
05:57The way to know in advance is the Secrets Master in Middletown.
06:00For some reason that didn't quite work for me.
06:02What I like to do is wait till 55th minute,
06:04and then start server hopping to find a server that has this boss awakened.
06:07When it is the Gorilla King,
06:09go to the big tree with bananas on it near his spawn,
06:11and shake it with your basic attacks.
06:13When enough bananas have dropped, the boss sequence starts.
06:24The awakened version is a lot stronger than the normal one,
06:27so I would not attempt this at level 20.
06:29Come back at a higher level or with a fruit, and it becomes easy.
06:32After you defeat him, that is your second star.
06:34By this point, I also got an elemental fruit at Blox Fruit Gotcha Dealer,
06:38so I can now fly around.
06:39I would recommend a smoke fruit, but I got really lucky with flame fruit.
06:42I also bought a gun.
06:43The way I level up these items and fruits is to get the Gorilla King to very low HP,
06:47and finish them with fruit or gun to level it up.
06:50I got lucky again, and Dragon Talon Sage spawned here,
06:53so I enchanted my gun.
06:54Now let's finish the hat rumor from earlier.
06:56This secret is called the Thieving Monkey.
06:58While we are waiting for the monkey to spawn,
07:00we can complete another important puzzle here on Jungle Island,
07:03and that is the Saber Puzzle.
07:04Find these five buttons scattered across the island.
07:18And now if we go to the adventurer and climb down here,
07:21there will be a new area opened up.
07:23In here, there will be a message telling us to continue our search for the Saber in the desert.
07:27Down here, there is also a diamond chest which gives 2-3 thousand money and respawns every 12 minutes.
07:32After you spend some time on Jungle, a set of footprints will appear near one of the big trees.
07:36Hit that tree with any basic attack to shake it, and the monkey thief falls out.
07:40Defeat it to get the hat back, then return it to the adventurer.
07:45That is your third star, and Jungle Island is now marked as completed on the world map.
07:50Each secret gives you money, XP, gems, and stat points on top of the secret levels.
07:55And with all three done, the Jungle Teleporter in Middletown is unlocked for us.
07:59That is why it is worth doing these on every island as we go.
08:02And we will do exactly that for the rest of the series.
08:04Upon reaching level 30, we can move on to Pirate Village,
08:07which we will cover in the next video, together with its three stars.
