00:00If I am elected, the first 100 days will be about getting that work underway so that our city can
00:07once again build.
00:12Build homes that people can afford, transit that connects them to work, parks where their children can play,
00:20opportunities for people to build a future here again, and a government capable of making it happen.
00:30Here's where we're going to start. First, we're going to rebuild trust.
00:34We will begin moving the city's homelessness dollars out of Lhasa's scandal-ridden bureaucracy on day one.
00:41And I will request our city controller to audit every single dollar that we spend on homelessness.
00:51So that taxpayers know where our money goes and that from now on it's spent wisely.
00:57Second, we're going to rebuild our streets and neighborhoods.
01:01On day one, I will direct departments to establish surge brigades for urgent repairs and cleanups.
01:07We're going to make a map of every broken street light, when it was reported, and when it will be
01:13fixed.
01:15And then we're going to turn the lights back on.
01:20Third, we're going to invest in public safety.
01:23We will begin to scale up unarmed crisis response teams that can take calls off of LAPD's plate.
01:31We will hire more 911 call operators.
01:34We will improve response times.
01:36We are going to make sure commercial corridors have the public safety resources that they desperately need.
01:42And we will audit LAPD's policy to ensure that they are following our sanctuary city ordinance
01:50and restore trust once again between our law enforcement and our immigrant communities.
