00:00President Trump has now formally created what he's calling the Super Intelligence Force,
00:04a new White House task force focused on AI, and he's putting Director of National Intelligence
00:09Jay Clayton in charge. The group also includes FTC Chair Andrew Ferguson,
00:15Pentagon Technology Chief Emil Michael, and Office of Personnel Management Director Scott Cooper.
00:21In a post on Truth Social, Trump says the task force will coordinate the federal government's
00:25approach to AI, including its work with tech companies, consumer groups, and critical
00:30infrastructure providers. He says the goal is to keep the U.S. ahead in what he calls
00:35superintelligence, his term for AI. But there's still a lot we don't know about what this group
00:40will actually do. Trump didn't announce any specific new regulations or enforcement powers.
00:46The task force will report directly to him and White House Chief of Staff Susie Wiles.
