00:00With Ray Kerr, when he struck out Shohei Otani last night, I was thinking,
00:05do you think he realized when he was working at 7-Eleven that one day
00:09he would be striking out Shohei Otani and the NLDS?
00:13Does that thought ever cross his mind, or is he still hoping to be there one day,
00:17or is that thought completely gone?
00:19Yeah, I can't even imagine.
00:21I mean, it's like you're one step short of like Henry Roengardner pitching for the Cubs.
00:25You're like, dude, this kid never imagined he'd be in this situation.
00:29I'm with you.
00:30I've told the story before.
00:32I had a friend from Pensacola from high school named Adron Chambers.
00:36He was a Cardinals like AAA player, AA player, really a stolen base kind of guy, outfielder.
00:42And when Matt Holliday got hurt before Game 7 of the World Series, he got called up.
00:46He was literally eating at like a Chili's and watching Game 6 on the television
00:50and saw Matt Holliday get hurt, and they were like,
00:52hey, you're going to come be our pinch runner for Game 7 of the World Series.
00:54He's like, I'm sorry, what?
00:57What?
00:57And sure enough, he's out in the World Series two days later in a Cardinals uniform running the bases.
01:01It's the craziest thing.
01:02I feel that way when I watch Ray Kerr.
01:04Let me put down my wonton taco.
01:06Yeah.
01:06Like, what?
01:07I was just at Chili's like one night ago.
01:09What?
01:09Yes.
01:10Yes.
