00:11A major security operation is in place as the Conservative Party conference has rolled into town.
00:18Armed officers, plainclothes teams and firearms officers are deployed around the ICC while drones are restricted across the City Centre
00:26until four o'clock on the 7th of October.
00:30Broad Street is closed to traffic, with bus services diverted, although trams are still running.
00:36West Midlands Police says the measures are designed to keep delegates, protesters and the public safe during the conference.
