00:00Let's get to this Chiefs Raiders game.
00:01So the Chiefs improve to four and oh, they went into Vegas, where a lot of people said
00:07the crowd was leaning Raiders, but it was still a lot of Chiefs fans there, which is
00:12good for them.
00:13Kirk Cousins had 365 yards and two touchdowns.
00:16They scored at the opening drive.
00:18They looked really good.
00:20It was a competitive game.
00:21Kenneth Walker was fantastic yet again.
00:25Las Vegas had enough offense, and I think that's kind of the case with a Clint Kubiak
00:29team at this point.
00:30We kind of know who the Raiders are a little bit right now.
00:33They are really, I guess, competent offense now, but their next step, I think, is preventing
00:40their opponent from getting to where they are scoring-wise, and I think that's something
00:45that'll take some time.
00:47So Kansas City, again, I mean, they always seem to know how to capitalize when the game
00:54presents an opening, and they took full advantage of that in the second half.
00:59And they win 30-27 in Las Vegas.
01:01Still a great game for the Raiders.
01:03I was actually pretty impressed with how competitive they were, even at home.
01:08John, what did you think of this Chiefs-Raiders game?
01:11I think both of us were kind of leaning like, oh, a two-touchdown win for Kansas City.
01:16The Raiders had a chance to win the game on the last possession.
01:19They just didn't come through.
01:21The Raiders are for real.
01:24The Raiders are for real.
01:27And I can tell you this with full confidence, not because them losing didn't convince me
01:34that they're not real.
01:36They came prepared.
01:37And I know that sounds crazy for an NFL team.
01:40They looked like they knew what they wanted to do.
01:43The Chiefs are just better.
01:44Remember, Kenneth Walker, the addition of Kenneth Walker to that team gives them an element
01:50that we've been talking about for a long time that they haven't had that they now have.
01:54The only concern I leave that game with the Raiders is their run game in Ashton Gentry.
01:58I leave a little bit concerned about that.
02:00But from a coaching perspective, they ready.
02:03From a defensive side of the ball perspective, they're ready.
02:06Kirk Cousins fought Patrick Mahomes tooth and nail.
02:12I was shocked, by the way.
02:14Pat, but we may not see Fernando Mendoza this year.
02:17I'm sorry, y'all.
02:19Kirk Cousins fought Patrick Mahomes tooth and nail.
02:25And it just so happens that the Chiefs organization is a little more down the road and have been
02:33through these wars before and were able to pull it out.
02:36The Raiders will get there by the end of the year.
02:38If they played that, when they play that game again in Arrowhead, I think that I think
02:42the Raiders will win that game.
02:44If you're the Raiders, you leave that building with nothing to be ashamed of.
02:48You feel like you let one get away.
02:50And so I walked away from that game far more impressed with the Raiders than going in it
02:56because I thought this was going to be a game where the Chiefs show up and just kind
02:59of punch him in the mouth and walk away, you know, proving their superiority.
03:03But the Raiders gave them everything they could handle and then some.
03:07I agree.
03:08I was very impressed by this Raiders team.
03:11It's interesting what an offensive minded coach.
03:14I mean, we saw how good Clint Kubiak was with the Seahawks.
03:19Like we understand how good he was with that team.
03:21It was Sam Darnold and Jackson Smith and Jigba and Kenneth Walker.
03:25And now it's kind of like he's ported that over to this team.
03:29And it's actually working pretty well so far.
03:31It looks the same.
03:32Right.
03:32And we were, you know, our knock was like, oh, well, they're not really playing that
03:35many good teams.
03:36Yeah, they're three, you know, but I want to see it against the Chiefs.
03:39Well, they were neck and neck with the Chiefs.
03:40They could, they had a chance to win that game.
03:42So I'm actually pretty impressed with them.
03:44So yeah, Chiefs go to four and oh, but I think the Raiders are going to be there for the
03:48rest of the year.
