00:00When Starliner launched in June 2024 with Butch Wilmore and Sunny Williams,
00:07everything initially went according to plan. The launch of the Atlas V was precise.
00:13The systems remained stable. From the crew's perspective, the spacecraft felt excellent.
00:20Wilmore later described the handling as one of the best he had ever experienced in a spacecraft.
00:26But this calm did not last long. During the approach to the International Space Station,
00:32four of the 28 attitude control thrusters failed. Not randomly distributed,
00:38but in a configuration that affected several degrees of freedom at the same time.
00:42The automatic system could no longer maintain the attitude properly. Wilmore had to take over manually.
