00:00I did invite Mr. President for tonight's final, so we will see if he's coming or not.
00:08Investments in stadiums, in football pitches, in schools, and everything related with sport and with football.
00:17So we will be collaborating together with the Federation on these projects.
00:23We've been discussing about the fantastic FIFA ASEAN Cup that Indonesia has hosted the very first edition.
00:35And the first is always historic, the first rights history.
00:39In 100 years from now, somebody will be thinking about the first edition of the FIFA ASEAN Cup.
00:47And it happened here, and the final happens today here in Jakarta between Indonesia and Thailand in a full, full
00:56stadium.
00:58Indonesia has been a great host. We knew that. That's why we entrusted Indonesia with hosting this event.
01:05I thank the President. I thank Eric Tohir and his entire team.
01:11And we have been exploring as well, what else can we do together here?
01:18What other events can we host? Indonesia hosted the Under-17, the FIFA series as well.
01:24So it's a great country. It's a football country. It's a country which is projected into the future, which is
01:34investing in the future of the country.
01:37So football is definitely an integral part of the vision of the President and the Federation and FIFA, because for
01:48FIFA football belongs to everyone, everywhere in the world.
01:53And obviously this includes as well Indonesia. We want to narrow this gap between the big superpowers of football and
02:03all the others.
02:03And Indonesia is doing a fantastic job to narrow this gap, to close it even, to qualify for big events,
02:10to perform better and better.
02:12And the impact of this FIFA has in Indonesia, but in the entire region is absolutely crucial in this respect.
02:22So a big thank you to the whole of Indonesia and for having us here and looking forward to the
02:29final tonight.
02:29Any more upcoming questions.
02:32Any more questions?
02:35Any more questions please?
02:59Well, I think Indonesian football has made incredible progress over the last few years.
03:06We know that some years ago the situation of football in Indonesia was complicated.
03:16I can say complicated, I think.
03:18I could say other words, but I say complicated.
03:23Eric Togir came in.
03:26He transformed with his team the Federation.
03:29Now there is investment in football, now there is governance in football,
03:33now there are competitions which generate revenues, there are youth competitions.
03:38The under-15 of Indonesia will play in the World Cup next month in Azerbaijan.
03:44The youth teams are performing well, the senior team is performing well,
03:48with also players who all have roots in Indonesia.
03:53And this is so beautiful because it relates them to their parents, to their grandparents.
03:57And the future of Indonesia is built as well in Indonesia.
04:01We all see the under-17 here a couple of years ago.
04:05We need to do more in schools, in school football.
04:08And these are the plans.
04:13The clubs need to be working to manage the stadiums, to operate the stadiums, to generate more revenues, so they
04:20can invest more.
04:21We need to think, and this is something we spoke as well with the President,
04:24not just about the country, but about the entire ASEAN region on how we can grow the game.
04:31Because it would not help you if you are good in one country, but the neighboring countries not.
04:38So it has to be a common teamwork between everyone.
04:42And we need to see, there are many events that we can think about.
04:48We had an under-17, we had FIFA, ASEAN, we can have under-20, we had women's competitions, World Cups.
04:55I mean, everything is open.
04:58Thank you.
05:08I did invite Mr. President for tonight's final, so we will see if he's coming or not.
05:16I did.
05:17Thank you so much.
05:18Thank you.
05:19I did it.
05:22Terima kasih.
