00:00So these are the new Snap Specs.
00:03Now I know what you're probably thinking when you see me wearing these.
00:06But after speaking to Snap CEO Evan Spiegel, this is by design.
00:10Because in his words, companies are trying to make smart glasses look like normal glasses.
00:16And the fact that they can capture people covertly is the thing that makes them quote-unquote creepy.
00:21So the look of these is doing two things.
00:24One, it is housing all of that technology inside.
00:27So you've got dual Snapdragon processors that keep everything running nice and fluidly in there.
00:32You've got the waveguide displays.
00:33You've got all the sensors and you've got the batteries that are at the back.
00:37But also it's that statement piece so that people know that you're wearing a computer on your face rather than
00:42trying to sneak it through.
00:44And in use, that instinctual computing stuff that they're talking about, it's a bit of a breakthrough.
00:49Is it a breakthrough that makes it worth the average person spending $2,195 to buy it?
00:54Don't think so.
00:55This is definitely for the early adopters.
00:57But with the hundreds of thousands of lenses providing utility, entertainment, the transcription where the subtitles actually appear underneath people
01:05as they speak.
01:06It's all damn cool.
01:08It's that device where I think smart glasses are going.
01:11The capabilities of a VR headset smashed into a pair of glasses, which, looks aside, are actually pretty damn comfortable
01:19to use at 136 grams.
01:21But I want to know what you think.
01:23How do you think these look?
01:24And would you pick up a pair yourself?
