00:00Tonight's starting lives are brought to you by Richard Harris Law Firm.
00:03As we look first off at the home side, a 4-3-3 for head coach Devin Rensik.
00:07At the top of the board, we also see that man, Carlos Gamosa, a 4-4-2 deployment.
00:12Christian Sordo up there as a complimentary piece against Christian Barano.
00:16Ten clean sheets, that is second out west.
00:20Joey Petrini, eight of them this year as this match is officially underway.
00:23Las Vegas moving from right to left on the attack.
00:27San Antonio and the light kits will be moving from left to right.
00:31It will certainly hurt Las Vegas' odds.
00:34It's the back post going out. Great stop on the goal line.
00:37It's a big one needed and necessary for Henry, his first touch of the night.
00:41It's a great position in there from Henry because it's a fantastic delivery and it's a good header.
00:46His early positioning, his early ability to close down space into that near post area
00:50makes the save look fairly straightforward, but really good opportunity there in the opening five minutes of the game.
00:57A remarkable figure, Maldonado here.
01:00Free kick inside.
01:02Ooh, Henry was looking for that ball.
01:04Into that area where if it bounces, sometimes it can just find its way into the back of the net
01:07with nobody touching.
01:08The keeper doesn't know whether to come.
01:10The defenders don't know whether to drop.
01:12It's just in an area that confuses everybody.
01:15And you can see by the reactions, it's not far away from finding the back of the net.
01:24Ball intercepted a chance here for Las Vegas.
01:27Good stop Pedrini for his first save of the night.
01:31Pedrini in between the sticks tonight for San Antonio.
01:34Quality look and a good kick out.
01:37First one of the evening for him.
01:42I think we'll be doing a disservice to you if we didn't tell you that the USA are currently 1
01:47-0 up against Mexico.
01:49Julian Hall.
01:52Pro Bowl.
01:53Works quick and immediate.
01:56Outside to Scott.
01:57Scott surveying towards the right-hand side.
01:59The header.
02:10Shot from well out.
02:12Pedrini.
02:13Defensive block enough to create that final opening.
02:20Aldonano.
02:21Tries his luck towards the right-hand side.
02:23That shot.
02:24I don't know if it would have gone into the net, but Henry in front of it.
02:26Nice look from Suarez.
02:30Long ball here, Artiaga.
02:31No chance to get to that.
02:33Yeah, I think Vegas have had more territory.
02:35San Antonio have had more of the quality.
02:36The question now is which one is going to translate to the first goal on the scoreboard.
02:44Julian Jai.
02:47Let's see if he gives a final warrant to Budon.
02:5539th minute.
02:56We'll have stats and highlights.
02:58We'll take a look around USL Championship at the break.
03:03Also, if we can, sneak peek into the out-of-town scoreboard.
03:08We'll see who's moving up and who is moving down.
03:16Rodriguez repositions himself towards the left-hand side.
03:19That ball finds Rodriguez.
03:20Watch out here.
03:22He's got it.
03:23I think the line was flat out.
03:26Maldonado.
03:28The delivery.
03:29Oh, a good place, but even better stop by Henry.
03:32Excellent save against Suarez.
03:35Just sliding through with his right leg to intercept.
03:37Excellent defending there from a famous.
03:39A dangerous cross into a dangerous area.
03:41Sometimes those ones that just about to bounce in front of you are the hardest ones to defend
03:45and then clear.
03:46Excellent concentration to clear away that danger there from a famous.
03:52Antonoglu.
03:53Rodriguez.
03:54Can he get to it?
03:55Rodriguez, the head on down, but this will be a goal kick.
03:59It's not bad for Antonoglu, but it's not great either.
04:01Here, you've got your wide players.
04:021v1.
04:03Take him on.
04:04Go at him.
04:04Be creative.
04:05Make something happen as he delivers a ball.
04:07It's Miami.
04:08Colorado Springs.
04:10Phoenix Rising.
04:13Open break.
04:13Arteaga, great stop.
04:15The rebound.
04:16He tucks it home.
04:18Manuel Arteaga nets it.
04:20And Las Vegas has the lead.
04:22It's 1-0.
04:31Vegas have the goal.
04:32Now we have to find out whether they have the maturity to manage the game.
04:35This is exactly what Devin Rainson meant when he told us this team has to learn how to win.
04:40The next 45, the second half, aren't just about attacking.
04:45Yeah, and I think San Antonio now have to force and chase the game.
04:49They have to open themselves up a little bit more in this second half going after that equalizing goal.
04:53And that may actually create the spaces Vegas have been looking for from the start of the game.
04:57The challenge for Las Vegas is knowing when to attack those spaces and when to simply stay organized and control
05:02the game.
05:04San Antonio 0 for 5.
05:06Greater expected goals, 1.20 to 1.09 despite trailing.
05:10So the warning signs are there.
05:12For Vegas, this second half is about something that coach spoke to us before the game.
05:16Learn how to win.
05:17They need to learn how to win.
05:18They led Sacramento twice on Wednesday and left with nothing.
05:21Tonight they put themselves in front again.
05:23Turn over here.
05:24Watch out.
05:25Henry gets beat on a mistake, but the ball can't find the sweet mark.
05:29And we were just speaking about, can they manage the moments?
05:34Again, you see Ophemu here reaching for the jersey rather than being in a good defensive position.
05:39And it's a really poor finish here from Cueto.
05:42He tries to chip it over, Henry, rather than slotting it down the side into the corner.

06:00Select the player's choice.
06:01This one on target.
06:03Good stop for the keeper.
06:05I'll tell you what, Las Vegas vying for a second goal ever so close.
06:10Really on the different end of things right now.
06:12It's an absolutely phenomenal strike, but it's just as good as Sapiens on here.
06:17Finds the ball in the pocket, gets the ball out of his feet quickly,
06:20and tries to bend it into the top corner, but Petrini does ever so well.
06:29Lofted up towards the back post.
06:32Henry with a great stop through the bar.
06:34This is the conundrum that head coaches need to play at this phase of the game
06:38and what message they want to send to the team.
06:43Probo.
06:44Back post.
06:45Arteaga.
06:46Oh, that ball volleyed around, and Ophemi wanted it.
06:49Down and back towards, go towards the far corner.
06:52Just uses the pace and the ball to guide it.
06:56Just widened it up.
06:57And nowhere near the playoff line.
07:01And to Noglu.
07:05This drive from Locker.
07:06Good stop.
07:09Pruny again.
07:10Strike from distance here.
07:12Coming from Locker, but Petrini, another big save.
07:15Same aerial.
07:16Strike from distance from Las Vegas, and Petrini coming up big in goal for his team.
07:25Free kick here.
07:26The delivery.
07:27This is the cage entirely.
07:33One bad pass deserves another.
07:36Blanco over the top to the right-hand side.
07:39Henry with an easy stop.
07:40Ricoll, who had a beat on it, just had no sauce behind it.
07:45Nothing on that pursuit.
07:47Ricoll tries to get to it, but we have reached full time.
07:53Las Vegas Lights.
07:55They needed three points in the worst kind of way.
07:58They needed three points in the worst kind of way.
07:58They needed three points in the worst kind of way.
08:00They needed three points in the worst kind of way.
08:02They needed three points in the worst kind of way.
08:03They needed three points in the worst kind of way.
08:03They needed three points in the worst kind of way.
