This dramatic clip captures the intense power of nature as Mt. Etna erupts into a display of volcanic force. Thick streams of glowing, molten red lava burst from the summit and flow steadily down the steep mountainside.
''We were on vacation in Sicily when Mount Etna began erupting, so we decided to book a guided hike up the mountain to see the eruption. We hiked with an experienced guide and watched as lava flowed down the mountain toward the city below. It was an incredible experience to witness the volcano erupting up close,'' Paul told WooGlobe.
Smoke and heat rise into the air as the brilliant fiery liquid carves its path, consuming everything in its trajectory as it slowly makes its way down the slope.
