Mémoriance ‎– L’Écume Des Jours 1979 (France, Progressive Rock)

The band's second album is a concept album. It is based on the novel *L’Écume Des Jours* (*Froth on the Daydream*) by Boris Vian. The final Mémoriance album (with new drummer Christophe Boulanger and a second keyboardist in Pascal Libergé), partially adapted to the new era coming in music, just before facing the dawn of the 80's.Apparently it was a work influenced by French grand novelist/composer/painter Boris Vian (all tracks contain texts of Vian's scripts), generally it is a lighter work than ''Et après...'', still very symphonic with some more melodic components and a good bunch of guitar/keys battles. The main difference here is that the band composed a lot of short tracks instead of going for extended compositons.Very French-sounding with plenty of controlled synthesizer, electric and acoustic movements, acoustic piano involvements and overall again in an ATOLL/ANGE vein with a slightly updated sound. After a last single they disbanded in 1981.apps79 Mar 14 2020
