Nemesis was a greek band from the capital Athens and which remained active in the second half of the 1970s, without releasing any material in these years. Only in 2002, more than 30 years after its dissolution, the label Ikaros Sound finally brought to light the songs that were recorded between 1976 and 78 on a LP with only 500 copies and remais very rare today. The musician Vasilis Kapanikis years later joined the group Purple Overdose. The self-titled album is divided into 9 songs, mostly short, with strong progressive rock influence, sometimes heavier, like in the opening track «Dreamer», and mostly dreamy and jazzy psychedelic (in the good instrumental jams «Lost Horizon», «Nemesis» and «Opus 22»). Highlights to the instrumental, which is consistent, alternating good guitar and synthesizers solos. The lyrics are all in English, with a strong accent. Beautiful and rare record, worth hearing for fans of progressive and jam rock.
