00:29Il devrait traduire l'audiobook.
00:30Oh, d'accord.
00:33David Finley is right in one hell of a story in this year's G1 Climax tournament.
00:37His very first...
00:38Do we get to keep the belt over here?
00:40No, they'll put it over there by...
00:43Okay, if I disappear from commentary for a little bit, I'm sorry.
00:48Just let them settle it.
00:50Why?
00:51Let them fight over it.
00:52Do you know how long it took you to get a rematch with Jon Moffrey?
00:55I know.
00:56And then Tanahashi basically lied to me and said he'd give me my rematch.
01:00Never did.
01:01You are owed.
01:03I am owed.
01:04Well, once this match is over, Finley says he's going to get the belt back to Will Offrey.
01:10But it's not about the US title.
01:14It's about two points.
01:15Okay.
01:15And David Finley, who started off this tournament, we thought may be okay.
01:19Okay.
01:19Is he in over his head?
01:20He lost to Yujiro with help from his friends, of course, in the House of Torture.
01:25Right.
01:25But then he beat Juice Robinson in an emotional, physical thriller.
01:30And then the surprise of the tournament defeated Shingo Takagi.
01:34Yep.
01:35But is this where the good fortune of David Finley comes to an end?
01:39Because an angry, motivated, some say best wrestler in the world.
01:47Bonafide, six stars, however many stars you would apply on it.
01:51And the belt right there.
01:53Finley's gotten in the head of Will Offrey.
01:55I think Will is focused right now.
01:57But if he's underestimated David Finley at all, he's going to lose.
02:01Just like he underestimated me in Dallas in 2019.
02:04I don't think anybody expected him and I to have the match we had.
02:07It kind of skyrocketed my career, both with the G1 and the business,
02:11working with Will Offrey, beating Will Offrey in Dallas, Texas,
02:14for the first and only G1 match or show outside of Japan.
02:19Oh, there they go.
02:19Oh, and so the difference of opinion over possession of the US title.
02:24This is our main event, David Finley versus Will Offrey.
02:27Oh, my God.
02:27Look at these guys.
02:2730 minutes are on the clock, but it might end up with a flea tip of an eye with a
02:30knockout.
02:31Slugfest right here.
02:32Oh.
02:38Oh, man.
02:39Both going over the top tumbler to the floor.
02:41If you guys want to know what a slugfest looks like,
02:43there's the definition in visual form.
02:45Oh.
02:50Kick his ass, David.
02:56Crank it on the left arm.
02:58Break it.
02:58Break it.
02:59David Finley was an unlikely.
03:01Oh, I think he just chopped him in the face.
03:03Unlikely semi-finalist in the New Japan Cup a couple of years ago.
03:07He and Ospreay had a tremendous bout.
03:10Ospreay did get the win on his path.
03:13Oh.
03:14To a New Japan Cup tournament victory, which would then lead him to a title opportunity against
03:19Shingo Takagi, which he won to become the IWGP World Heavyweight Champion.
03:24So that's how close David Finley has been.
03:27Where do you think you learned that Euro from?
03:29Oh, you think his father may have had something to do with it?
03:32Might have.
03:34Four generations of fighting Finleys.
03:37Snap suplex.
03:39And a kick out at one from Will Ospreay.
03:44Will is one tough son of a bitch, man.
03:45I tell you that much.
03:47I chokeslammed him through a table and he kept fighting.
03:52After the snap there, another uppercut forearm.
03:57Presses the forearm along the jawline.
04:00Only got a one count though.
04:01Just a one.
04:03Oh.
04:05Yeah, step on them fingers.
04:09Will Ospreay perfect 2-0 thus far.
04:12Defeating El Phantasmo in the first night of the tournament.
04:16And then defeating Yudra Takahashi at Cork and elbow connects.
04:21Oh, brother.
04:22Nice.
04:24The chop of the chest, the hip into the edge of the ring,
04:27and the back of his head along the barricade.
04:30You know, when Will came and had his match at Forbidden Door
04:32against Orange Cassidy, I think it was one of the highlights of the
04:35pay-per-view considering that I don't know if people actually expected
04:38them to have the fight that they had.
04:40You know, Orange Cassidy is known for being very relaxed and calm
04:43and, you know, puts his hands in his pocket, gives you a little thumbs up.
04:46But then him and Will Ospreay.
04:47Oh, oh.
04:47Coming right at us.
04:49Oh, my God.
04:50100 miles an hour.
04:52Findlay.
04:54Into the barricade.
04:55All right.
04:56They're going to keep it inside.
04:58They're going to keep it inside the fence, but they're going to use.
05:00That's smart, Will.
05:01Go the other direction.
05:03And back first.
05:07If you listen to Will Ospreay's post-match comments from the other night
05:12after he and Finley tangled in a preview tag, you could just tell how just
05:18angry Ospreay was, and he's fighting with that anger.
05:22Yeah.
05:23He hasn't been too thrilled that I'm here, though.
05:25No, but so much physical talent, and you combine that with a burgeoning
05:30mean streak, and it just makes Ospreay even more dangerous.
05:35For sure.
05:40He's always motivated to show everyone in the world why he is absolutely
05:44one of the best in the business.
05:45And, of course, there's been a lot of controversy between, you know,
05:49talk within AEW and New Japan about who is the best wrestler in the world.
05:54I'm sure you've heard some of those conversations.
05:56That's competition, baby.
05:58That's what fuels it, makes it fun, both for the fighters, the fans, and everyone.
06:04Snap there.
06:06And now going to walk that left shoulder over.
06:08It is the left shoulder of David Finley that will forever be a problem
06:13and will forever be a target of opponents.
06:16The surgeons did their best to fix it, but they told him it'll never be 100%.
06:21We never are.
06:22Not one of us.
06:23You're back.
06:25Every wrestler who's had surgery can tell you.
06:28I had surgery in Japan in 2017.
06:29Oh!
06:31His shoulders up because he's getting wrenched in two.
06:37But, yeah, I had surgery in 2017 here in Japan.
06:39They took care of me, but we're never 100%, never.
06:43We have no off-season.
06:46Oh!
06:47Talking smack!
06:50Oh!
06:51He spit on me!
06:53Bring that fire!
06:55Bring that fire!
23:47C'est parti !
