00:00I know you just spoke to The Beat about the decision to not go with Judge on this ALDS roster.
00:05Can you just walk us through that process on how you ultimately came to that decision?
00:10Yeah, first of all, I think he's made really good progress here over the last couple weeks,
00:15has worked incredibly hard to be an option and wanted to be on the roster.
00:20I sat with him and Mike Shuck in my office after the workout last night,
00:25and we kind of talked through it all and had good conversations and basically left there.
00:32And I said I was going to sit on it for an hour or so and just think about it
00:37and make a decision.
00:38And, you know, ultimately I obviously decided, you know, keeping him off was the best thing.
00:45Again, I feel like he's getting close, but I feel like, you know,
00:49for us to get a version of Aaron back and to win a World Series,
00:55I feel like this week's important for him to continue to work towards getting back.
01:00And, you know, that's, you know, he just started running.
01:02He's hit now a couple of days.
01:05Like, so I think another several days of doing that and building some endurance,
01:10I think is important.
01:13Understanding entirely that we're guaranteed nothing.
01:16You know, we don't play well, next week we're home, and we don't get it.
01:21But I feel like for us to get, you know, a good version of Aaron,
01:26this was the right thing to do.
01:28Is there a scenario where he would be available later in the series,
01:30or in your mind he is completely out for this entire series?
01:34Well, you can't just put him on unless there's an injury.
01:38So, I mean, if there, God forbid, was an injury in the middle later part of the series
01:43and it was closer, cross that bridge if he got there.
01:47But you can't just put him on at some point.
