00:00The Knights bus was leaving this morning and tens of thousands of supporters lined the streets from the stadium heading
00:10out to the M1.
00:13Tragically, a car accident has happened here at the roundabout and 10 people have been injured.
00:22Two of those people are critically injured and the other eight are also injured and have all been taken to
00:30John Hunter Hospital.
00:31It is an absolute tragedy, a tragedy that needn't have happened, a tragedy that was preventable.
00:40Driver behaviour is so important and I can't implore people enough to please remember when you are driving,
00:49you have to keep the people in your car safe and you have to keep pedestrians and other motorists safe.
00:54It's your responsibility.
00:56Our thoughts are with the families involved in this incident and all the people that were involved in the incident.
01:02We did get a lot of bystander support during this incident and it made our job carrying out emergency service
01:10a lot easier as a result.
01:12So we'd just like to thank the people involved.
