(askanews) - Il Segretario alla Difesa Pete Hegseth annuncia che gli Stati Uniti hanno ridotto del 20% il numero di generali e ammiragli; una mossa che, a suo dire, mira a garantire maggiore "responsabilità". Hegseth lascia intendere che i tagli hanno colpito gli ufficiali che non hanno aderito ai suoi sforzi per far sì che le forze armate si concentrino sulle capacità di combattimento. "Basta con gli assurdi corsi di formazione su PowerPoint o con gli spettacoli delle drag queen. Basta con le quote per la diversità. Basta con i pronomi di genere. Basta con i mesi dedicati alle identità. Solo l'etica del guerriero", ha dichiarato Hegseth.
