00:00The recipe I'm bringing you today is like your trusty go-to cardigan that comes in handy when
00:06you least expect it. Well, just like that, this takes care of lunch for six people for very little
00:12money in no time at all. What more could you want? A classic macaroni with ground meat and tomato
00:18sauce, baked until golden brown. Spectacular. You have to make them. Everyone loves them.
00:24Today, we're bringing you a recipe that you simply must have in your repertoire,
00:28no matter what. Yeah, macaroni for when you're in a pinch. Super easy to make. They take care of
00:34lunch or dinner in no time. And plus, you can have almost everything ready and just give them
00:38the finishing touch at the end. You'll be a hero and I can tell you right now, kids absolutely love
00:44it.
00:45We start with a simple sofrito. Half an onion is enough and three cloves of garlic because we want
00:51it to pack a super punch. We want the onion finely diced, so take your 20 seconds to finish it
00:58up.
00:58Perfect. Be careful with those knives. They can be dangerous. A skillet, a drizzle of olive oil.
01:05There you go. Don't overdo it either, because a little oil is enough for us.
01:11We turn on the heat, medium, in goes the onion, toss it in so it softens gently while we prep
01:18the rest
01:18of the ingredients. If you add a little pinch of salt, it'll cook a lot faster. A little chef's trick.
01:27And right away, we move on to the garlic. We chop it up finely as well. Take your time,
01:3120 seconds, and it'll be perfect. There it is. As soon as you have it, don't waste a second and
01:37add
01:38it to the mix. The onion has already heated up and the garlic will cook right along with it in
01:44no time.
01:44Here we go. We wait for it to get golden brown. If you know a go-to recipe, one of
01:51those you make,
01:52that saves you on any given day, don't keep it to yourself, man. Tell us in the comments. We all
01:56learn,
01:57and I assure you that I'll make it. Next ingredient, ground meat. 450 grams for six people. It's plenty.
02:06You don't need any more. We add salt to taste, a little pinch, and also freshly ground black pepper.
02:13The freshly ground stuff is awesome. The pre-ground stuff is no good.
02:19The meat. A mix of beef and pork. I think that's the blend that works best for them. But you
02:25can use beef or pork
02:26however you like. Whatever you want. Even with chicken it works. But with the mix it turns out amazing.
02:34The flavor of the beef and that richness that only pork meat can give it. So nicely browned, and let's
02:40keep going.
02:41The onion has started to change color. See how good it looks. The heat is still on medium, so we
02:48can add
02:48the meat. If you want to turn it up a bit to medium high, no problem. The meat will brown
02:53and it'll be even
02:54tastier. Moving on. A can of tomatoes. Peeled tomatoes. Crushed tomatoes would also work. Just make sure they're
03:01plain unseasoned tomatoes. The recipe is already budget friendly on its own. But if you want to make
03:06it even cheaper, you skip the whole meat thing and make it either with tuna or with nicely chopped sausages.
03:16It's not the same, but it also works and it'll be a lifesaver for college students.
03:21With the meat nicely browned, we add our tomatoes. There it goes inside, you see. There are four small
03:29tomatoes in this can, so that's pretty much the amount you need. With a spoon, you keep mashing and
03:35stirring so it blends with the meat and leaves us with a delicious sauce. And for that we've got a
03:42little trick. Here we go. Tomato sauce. We'll need 100 milliliters, which is pretty much half of one of
03:47these small jars. When it's like this, already turning into an amazing sauce, you add it. And with
03:54this, you don't need to add sugar or anything like that. It'll turn out balanced and amazing. And if you
04:01want to add something, let it be organo, dried oregano, an Italian touch. It gives it an aromatic
04:07kick that frankly I love. And now let's go with the little secret ingredient. 50 milliliters of milk. Bet
04:13you didn't expect that, right? Come on. In it goes. This small portion of milk. And this will make the
04:19sauce turn out so much creamier, more spectacular, tastier, better in every way. And as you can see,
04:25it costs next to nothing. Pure perfection.
04:28To this little vegetable base you can add almost whatever you want. You can add fresh tomatoes,
04:37like in a classic Italian Pomodoro sauce or carrots, whatever you like. A little more onion,
04:44a little more pepper, some green bell pepper, whatever you've got in the fridge. This recipe
04:50takes it all. Here, next ingredient, you guessed it, macaroni. That's it. We get a pot filled with
04:59plenty of water ready. And when it starts to boil, we'll add salt and also our macaroni. Don't skimp on
05:06the
05:06salt because they don't absorb that much. I added a whole teaspoon of salt. There we go.
05:16Hold the presses. Quick interruption. If you're still watching, it means you're enjoying the video.
05:21So don't leave without subscribing and giving it a like. Hey, that rhymed. Let's reach 1 million
05:28subscribers and that way, if you turn on the bell, you won't depend on the algorithm to show you more
05:32of my videos. They'll just pop up. There you go. You can also leave a like. It helps me out
05:38a lot.
05:39It doesn't cost you a thing. And don't we all love free stuff? Well, if you do, I'll keep putting
05:45out free content every week. Just for you, man. So here we have the macaroni. I left it for 18
05:52minutes
05:52because the package said 20 and you have to cook it for two minutes less than what the manufacturer
05:57says so that it's al dente. The sauce is ready and our macaroni is well-drained and still hot. In
06:04they go.
06:04If you're recording this, this is going to happen to you. The steam, no big deal. It clears up right
06:09away.
06:10Let's move on to the next ingredient. That's mozzarella cheese, 100 grams mozzarella, pecorino,
06:17havarti, guda. Whichever one you want. Any cheese goes great with this recipe. Powdered cheese, shredded
06:23cheese, diced cheese. Even cheese slices for sandwiches will work for you. So there's no excuse.
06:30You have to make this recipe. The steam is cleared. The camera is ready. See how I've got my macaroni
06:36piping hot right there. So I add about a third of that mozzarella, a small handful, and I mix it
06:43all up
06:44well. This gives the final result a creaminess. That is a real showstopper. Take note of this little
06:50trick. We work super well. They're gonna turn out spectacular. If you want to complement this recipe
06:57and make it more complete, a star ingredient comes to mind. Hard boiled egg. It goes amazingly well with it.
07:06You put the pieces in there or you can grate it on top, which also looks fantastic. On the fly,
07:12and without wasting a second, we get an oven safe dish ready. A big one. Because everything has to fit.
07:19And in there we pour our macaroni with this spectacular sauce, with this minced meat. We spread it out.
07:27And we're going to try to fit everything into our baking dish. No problem. There it goes. A little bit
07:35that was left goes right on top. And now I'm going to use the rest of the cheese I had
07:39left.
07:41I'm going to spread it over the top. And all I need to do is put it in the oven
07:46under the broiler,
07:47so that the result is truly authentic and spectacular. Macaroni with tomato sauce and a golden brown
07:54cheese topping. They're an absolute showstopper. How long will it take? Well, it depends on the oven.
07:59If you crank it all the way up, you should have it ready in less than five minutes. And once
08:04the cheese is
08:04melted and golden brown. That's it. Time to eat. There you have them. Your macaroni for when you're
08:11in a pinch. Macaroni with tomato sauce, macaroni and meat. Call them whatever you want. Just look at
08:17this showstopper who wouldn't love this wonder. Just like that. Who can be that? You have to make them.
08:25See? The truth is that when you put this on the table, you get a round of applause with almost
08:30no
08:30effort. I'm going to dig right in so you can see. See? The melted cheese. The macaroni cooked to
08:37perfection. The sauce soaking into everything. I promise you this recipe is wonderful. And if you
08:43have kids at home, I don't even need to tell you. Will they like it? For sure. A nice plateful.
08:50Generous
08:51portion. And you take it to the table. That's all there is to it, my friend. What a showstopper. A
08:56little oregano. Extra. And the result. Guaranteed.
09:03Holy cow. These macaroni look amazing with the golden melted cheese.
09:13They are so good. For every day. For Sunday. For when you don't have much on hand. For when you're
09:22short on time. Or whatever you want. This survival spaghetti is spaghetti. No macaroni.
09:30They turn out great with spaghetti too. Wow. So good. I'll leave the ingredients right there. So you
09:36have them on hand to make this wonderful recipe, which is super easy. And it's better than the
09:40macaroni and tomato sauce you make for yourself.
09:44So the ingredients are right there. In the description box. And throughout the video.
09:51And that's all. Thanks for coming. See you in the next video. Which is going to be just as good
09:57or even
09:57better. Wow. I love them. They are so good.
