00:00And home to more than 18 million people and with an economy of around 540 billion dollars,
00:08Shenzhen is one of China's major cities and important center of technological innovation.
00:12Reverend Bruno Falsi presents the following work.
00:17Shenzhen is one of China's major economic and technological centers
00:22and a symbol of the country's socialist modernization process.
00:26In Nanshan district, the Robot Valley is a global hub for innovation in robotics and artificial intelligence,
00:35bringing together more than 200 companies.
00:42This is where China for reforms and opening up process began.
00:46Nanshan can be described in three terms.
00:49A major economic hub, an innovation center and an industrial city.
00:53In 2025, Nanshan's GDP surpassed 1 trillion yuan, making it the first urban district in China to exceed that figure.
01:02It also ranked first in the country for the ninth consecutive year.
01:07Shenzhen has also become one of China's leading centers for robot production.
01:12In 2025, the city produced nearly 195,000 industrial robots, accounting for more than a quarter of China's total production.
01:24At Robot Valley, these technologies can be seen directly in operation.
01:32In factories, most tasks can be carried out by specialized machines or industrial robots.
01:41However, there are still many tasks that require human intervention, such as more flexible assembly processes.
01:51One of the main reasons for applying robots is efficiency and their ability to keep up with the pace of
01:56factory production.
01:58But robots are receiving so much attention because people expect them to eventually enter homes and many other areas.
02:04The development of these technologies is also reflected in major companies in Shenzhen.
02:10In Shanghai, Tencent is developing a complex covering more than 3 million square meters.
02:17Designed as a micro city, it integrates offices, housing, schools, parks, commercial spaces and services.
02:27And will be able to accommodate more than 80,000 people, including workers and residents.
02:35Amongst improving people's works and lives while also applying AI in industry.
02:40One example, in healthcare, Tencent and Magic Critical created Qiyuan, which is a critical care AI model.
02:47And it's the world's first large scale to be used in an ICU.
02:52ICU patients can generate tens of thousands data points every day, and doctors only have the minutes to make life
02:59-saving decisions.
02:59But now, with Qiyuan, in just five seconds, it can help doctors to review a patient's condition, predict change, and
03:08suggest PPP treatments.
03:10So Qiyuan is really helpful in the ways to save lives.
03:13This development is part of a long-term planning led by the Communist Party of China,
03:18with the goal of turning the city into a global hub for intelligent robots by 2028.
03:24Bruno Falchi, Shenzhen, China, for Telesur.
