00:00Dwayne Johnson is worth $800 million, and his little girls live with two pools, a movie theater,
00:06and a baseball diamond at home. But he refuses to let that money raise spoiled kids,
00:11and his reason starts with a padlocked door and $7, inside the house where the tornadoes live.
00:18In that house, one ordinary Sunday started with one small request. At 8.57 in the morning,
00:24his two youngest daughters begged him for a makeup party, and just two minutes later, he gave in.
00:31By four minutes past nine, the girls were fighting over how his face should look,
00:35so they settled it by splitting his face right down the middle and taking one half each.
00:40The shower could not wash all of it away. So at 11 o'clock, he sat down for a work
00:46call on Zoom,
00:47with the nail polish still on his fingers. He posted the whole morning online,
00:52and he closed the video by reminding other parents that kids are only little once,
00:57and that a dad would do anything to make them laugh and smile.
01:00The two little artists that morning were Jasmine and Tiana.
01:04Jasmine Leah Johnson was born on December 16th, 2015, in Los Angeles, and Tiana Gia Johnson was
01:11born on April 17th, 2018, in the same city. That makes Jasmine 10 years old and Tiana 8 years old
01:19today, and Jasmine turns 11 this December. When Jasmine arrived, her father posted that Christmas
01:26had come early, and he said he wanted to be a better dad the second time around.
01:30When Tiana arrived, he skipped CinemaCon, one of the biggest yearly events in the movie business,
01:35so he could stay home on baby duty. He has a nickname for the pair, and it tells you exactly
01:42what kind of energy fills his house. He calls them tornadoes, and he says both girls are very
01:48passionate about how they feel. The woman who keeps those two tornadoes on the ground
01:52is their mother, Lauren Hashian. She is a singer and producer who first met Dwayne in 2006 on the set
01:59of the movie The Game Plan, and the two of them started dating in 2007. They waited a long time
02:06to
02:06make it official. On August 18th, 2019, they married in a small ceremony on a hilltop in
02:13Kauai, Hawaii, with only family around them and flower lice around their necks. He wore white Ralph
02:19Lauren. She wore lace by the designer Mira Zwillinger, and Jasmine and Tiana walked as flower girls in
02:26white dresses with pink flowers. He shared the photos with a Hawaiian word, Pomaikai, which means blessed.
02:34Today, that family has a very big place to run around in. In 2021, Dwayne bought a home in North
02:41Beverly Park, a gated corner of Beverly Hills, from the comedian Paul Reiser for about $27.8 million.
02:49The land covers about 3.67 acres, and the main house, plus a 2,500-square-foot guest house,
02:56give the family about 17,630 square feet of space, with six bedrooms and around 12 bathrooms.
03:04The bedrooms are the least exciting part. Outside, there is a tennis court and a full baseball diamond,
03:11and across the property there are indoor and outdoor pools, a private gym, a home movie theater,
03:18and an old recording studio that once belonged to the rock band Van Halen. Reports describe this
03:24Beverly Park estate as the family's main home. Inside that house, Dwayne keeps his work very
03:30close to his kids. His home office even has its own name, Daddy Central, and he jokes that the
03:36girls hang around his work the way kids would hang around a chocolate factory. Beverly Park is only one
03:42address on a much longer list. For more than 10 years, Dwayne has also owned a property called
03:48Manor Ranch near Charlottesville, Virginia, with horses, a pond, and a gym he calls the country
03:54Iron Paradise. He once told CBS that he likes to go fishing out there alone, and that when he brings
04:01the girls along, the place feels magical. In the same year, he bought the Beverly Park house.
04:07He also picked up a home in Encino for about $3.48 million, and reports say it was bought for
04:14his
04:14mother, ATA. There was a Georgia chapter as well. Around 2019, he paid roughly $9 to $9.5 million
04:22for a horse farm in Powder Springs, Georgia, which came with a playroom for the younger girls and room
04:29for Jasmine to go riding. Once the family settled into Beverly Park, the farm hardly got used, and in
04:352025 it sold for somewhere around $6.1 to $7 million, which means he took a loss on it. People
04:43who add up
04:43all of these homes guess that his real estate is worth $50 to $60 million, though that number is
04:50only a rough guess built from the prices he paid. So where does all this money come from? Most reports
04:56in 2026 place his fortune at around $800 million. That figure is an industry estimate. Because Forbes
05:05only tracks what he earns in a single year, and nobody has ever published a checked list of everything
05:11he owns. Writers reach the number by stacking the pieces one on top of the other. And the first and
05:18oldest piece is the movies. In recent years, studios have paid him somewhere between $20 and $50 million
05:25for each project. For the Christmas action film Red One, he was reported to receive $50 million up front,
05:32and in one of his best years, he earned around $124 million. In 2012, he started Seven Bucks Productions
05:41with his first wife, Dani Garcia. And the company's films include Jumanji, Welcome to the Jungle, which made about
05:49$962 million around the world, and Hobbes and Shaw, which made about $761 million. Hold on to that company name,
05:58because the story behind it becomes very important later. Next comes the tequila. He launched Terramana
06:05Tequila in 2020, and by 2025, the brand was selling about 1.1 million cases a year in the United
06:13States.
06:14Some writers valued it at $3.5 billion by comparing it to Casamigos, a tequila brand that sold to Diageo
06:22for $1 billion, while moving far fewer cases. Nobody has actually bought Terramana, though,
06:29and a more careful review in 2026 places, its value closer to $1 to $2.5 billion.
06:36Wrestling money sits on top of all that. In January 2024, he joined the board of TKO Group Holdings,
06:44the parent company of WWE and the UFC, and received a $30 million stock award for promotional work
06:52and the full rights to the name The Rock. He also collected about $900,000 in royalties in 2024,
06:59and about the same again in 2025. Add the ZOA energy drink and his Project Rock line with Under Armour,
07:08plus Lauren's own money, which is estimated at $5 to $8 million. And you have the household these two
07:14girls wake up in every morning. Now drop a 10-year-old and an 8-year-old into the middle
07:19of all of it,
07:19with the tennis court, the horses, the pools, and a father whose face hangs on movie posters in every
07:26country. Sooner or later, one of them will point at a toy and ask if she can have it. In
07:32this house,
07:33that question gets two very different answers, and the softer answer comes from the biggest man
07:38in the family. Daddy says tomorrow. In December 2019, a few months after the wedding in Hawaii,
07:45Dwayne sat down on The Ellen DeGeneres Show to promote Jumanji, The Next Level.
07:50When the talk turned to Christmas, he laughed and admitted that his little girls wanted every single
07:56toy they saw. Then he explained how the two parents in that house handle a request. When Jasmine asks
08:03her mom for something, Lauren tells her to put it on a list because her birthday and Christmas are both
08:09coming and being good will count. When Jasmine asks her dad for the very same thing, he says
08:15absolutely, asks her when she would like it, and promises he is on it for tomorrow. So the patient
08:22parent holding the wish list in this family is Lauren. The parent, who runs out to find the toy by
08:28morning, is the same man who plays Hobbes, Maui, and a long list of tough guys. On toys alone,
08:35the house leans hard toward yes, and he has never tried to hide it. He puts that soft side on
08:41camera
08:42again and again. In 2019, he posted a tea party with Jasmine at a tiny table, and he joked that
08:49he
08:49had put tequila in his little cup. In May 2022, he did it all again with Tiana and a stuffed
08:56bunny.
08:57And he wrote that these daddy, daughter, and bunny tea parties have a special way of putting life into
09:02real perspective. He added that Tiana had just turned four and probably would not remember the
09:08moment, but he surely would. Around the same time, he said he was singing, You're Welcome with Tiana
09:14for about the 937th time, and that she still had no idea her father and Maui were the same person.
09:21The makeup sessions became a running series of their own. In January 2025, the girls asked for just a
09:28little eye shadow before he left for the gym, and he told them to make it quick. They ended up
09:33breaking
09:33lipstick on his bald head, painting his nails, and clipping little hearts onto him. And he set the
09:39whole video to the song, The Sound of Silence. He wrote that his girls will not always be little
09:46and will not always want to hang out with their dad, so he would happily take that kind of abuse
09:51all day long. Up to this point, he sounds like a man who spoils his kids and enjoys every minute
09:58of
09:58it. The other half of the story shows up when he talks about who he wants those kids to become.
10:03In a 2021 interview with Fatherly, recorded in Hawaii, he was asked how the family keeps the
10:09girls somewhat normal and thankful. His answer was a constant conversation at home, constant reminders
10:16of everything the girls have to be thankful for, and the parents' own behavior, because as children
10:22grow up, the actions are what they pay attention to. So the toy may show up tomorrow, and the lesson
10:27about being grateful for it shows up right beside it. In the same interview, he explained that he
10:33started early with Jasmine on how to handle praise, so when someone tells her she is beautiful,
10:39she learns to pause and answer with thank you, I appreciate it. That tiny habit keeps a
10:45compliment as a kind moment and stops it from becoming her whole idea of who she is. He also
10:51used the interview to call Danny Garcia a spectacular mom to Simone, and to praise Lauren for balancing
10:58their homes, their staff, her own music career, and motherhood all at once. And he admitted that he
11:04will do honestly anything to put a smile on his baby's faces. When he described what a good dad looks
11:10like to him. The list was very plain. Take them to school every morning, pick them up, take them to
11:17soccer,
11:18and be there. That same year, he told people that the most important thing he has learned about raising
11:24daughters is to just be there. He said a lot of fathers are wired to fix things. And learning to
11:30listen
11:30and to be more tender and gentle let him solve problems together with his girls instead of solving them on
11:37their behalf. He and Lauren also keep a house rule about big dreams. They raise the girls to believe
11:43there are no limits on what they can do or achieve. And then they ask the girls to stay flexible
11:49about
11:49how they get there. He said the long months at home during the pandemic only made family feel even more
11:56important than it already was. A few years later, that promise to be there cost him a shot at the
12:02biggest
12:02job in America. In October 2022, he said a run for president was off the table, explaining that he
12:09loves the country and that being a daddy is the most important thing to him during this critical
12:15time in his daughter's lives. He admitted that he had once been on the road so much that he was
12:20absent
12:20for a lot of years in his first daughter's life. He told ET that very powerful people from both parties
12:27had asked him to run, but he wanted the school drop-offs, the pickups, the bedtimes, and the
12:33steady home he never had as a little boy. He does bring the girls into the glamorous side of his
12:38life,
12:39just in small and careful doses. On November 21, 2024, at the Moana 2 world premiere in Kapolei,
12:47on the island of Oahu, he made a rare appearance on the carpet with Lauren, his mother Eita,
12:52and all three of his daughters. That same day, Lauren shared a video of Jasmine and Tiana in the
12:59recording booth voicing the Monabies, a mini fan club of Moana on her island, while their dad sat
13:05behind them and told them they sounded much better than daddy. The film's credits list both girls as
13:11Monabe voices, which are small cameo parts. Their grandmother Eita also earned a small credit of her
13:18own in the same film as one of the villagers. On July 7, 2026, at the Hollywood Bowl premiere of
13:25the live-action Moana, all three daughters walked beside him again, with Jasmine and Tiana in matching
13:31blue hibiscus dresses and Simone in a black midi dress. The family photo that night also included Lauren,
13:38Atta, Denny Garcia, and her husband, Dave Rienzi, and he told Access that the night was everything.
13:45In 2024, he told Men's Health Australia that raising daughters had made him less selfish and less
13:52judgmental, and that every man his girls meet for the rest of their lives will be measured against him
13:57and the way he treats them. He described his job as their father as disciplining them, loving them,
14:04and protecting them, while always remembering that standard. He had already made the same point back on
14:10Ellen in 2019, joking that girls measure boys against their father, and that if a boy is not
14:17good enough, bang. So he buys the toy, he sits still for the lipstick, and he gives the talk about
14:24being thankful in the same breath. The reason he refuses to drop that talk goes back to a locked
14:29door in Honolulu and is $7 in a young man's pocket, $7 and a padlock. Dwayne Johnson learned about money
14:37the hard way, long before anyone called him The Rock. As a boy, he moved around about 13 times,
14:44following his father Rocky Johnson's wrestling bookings through Hawaii, New Zealand, Pennsylvania,
14:49and other places. In Honolulu, the family lived in a small efficiency apartment that cost $120 a week,
14:57and he has said, you know, life is beating you up when your rent is due every single week. One
15:02day,
15:03the family came home to find a padlock on the door and an eviction notice, and his mother,
15:08ATA, broke down crying, asking where they were going to live and what they were going to do. He has
15:13also
15:14described the family car being taken away while his mother cried. Life outside that apartment was
15:20going badly too. In June 2023, he shared a teenage photo and explained that two weeks before it was
15:28taken, he had been arrested, after a wild foot chase through the Alamoana Mall, and one week after it,
15:35the family was evicted. At the LA Family Housing Awards in 2018, he fought back tears while accepting
15:41an inspiration award, and he told The Room that at 14, his family was forced off the island with no
15:48place to live. He ended up in a little motel outside Nashville, where he stole steaks from a grocery
15:55store, and then realized he had no way to cook them in a motel room. He said he knows what
16:00it feels like
16:01to live without the safety of a home and to watch his mom cry over an eviction notice. There was
16:06a
16:06second wound hidden inside that move, and he only spoke about it in detail many years later. In 2025,
16:14he told the New York Times Magazine that being evicted from Hawaii and sent to Nashville, to live
16:20with his dad was the worst pain he has ever felt. His father had promised him an apartment, but at
16:26the
16:26airport, a man named Bob picked the boy up and drove him to a motel, and that is how he
16:33worked out that his
16:34father was living somewhere else with another woman. Football looked like the way out. After playing at
16:40the University of Miami, he landed on the practice roster of the Calgary Stampeders in Canada in 1995,
16:48earning about $300 a week, until coach Wally Buono cut him after roughly two months. Years later,
16:54he replied to an old team photo, saying he had seven bucks in his pocket when Wally released him,
17:00and he called it a defining low point that pushed him to do more. He was 23 years old,
17:06and he had to move back in with his parents in Florida. His next plan started the biggest fight
17:12he ever had with his father. On the Joe Rogan Experience in November 2023, he explained that Rocky,
17:18who had been among the first black tag team champions, in WWE alongside Tony Atlas, did not
17:26want the wrestling life for his son, because he had watched a successful wrestler, still struggle to
17:32pay $500 in rent. Dwayne gave him a choice, either train me or I go to Bret Hart's training dungeon
17:39in
17:39Calgary. And with his mom crying and him crying, his father finally agreed to train him. He has said he
17:46works on purpose to be a better dad than his own father was, and that Rocky loved him with the
17:51capacity
17:51he had. In a relationship that was challenging and complicated, when he started his production
17:57company in 2012, he named it seven bucks, after the money in his pocket on the day Calgary let him
18:03go.
18:04That is the same company from the start of this story, now tied to billions of dollars in movie
18:10tickets. He still reaches for that number whenever the rich man's story goes wrong. In August 2023,
18:16after the Maui wildfires, he and Oprah each put in $5 million to start the People's Fund of Maui,
18:23and then asked the public to donate. People were angry that two very rich stars were asking working
18:30people for money, and in October he posted a video saying he could have been better,
18:34would be better next time, and knew what paycheck to paycheck felt like. All the way back to seven bucks.
18:40That history also shaped the way he raised his first daughter. Simone Alexandra Garcia-Johnson was
18:47born on August 14, 2001, in Davie, Florida, the only child of Dwayne and Danny Garcia,
18:54who married in 1997 and finalized their divorce in 2008. He had her at 29, and he has said the
19:02two of
19:02them kind of grew up together while he was flying by the seat of his pants. On Oprah's Master Class
19:07in
19:082015, he cried, as he said, being a father is the greatest job he will ever have, and that when
19:15Simone was born, he held her in his two hands and promised to always take care of her. He said
19:20the
19:21most important thing he could do was lead their life with love, a head of success, and a head of
19:27fame.
19:27And when Simone was 13, she said what she loved most about their bond was that she trusted him.
19:33When Simone was heading off to college at 18, he said he was excited because she had earned it.
19:39Then she picked the family trade. She signed with WWE in February 2020,
19:45and was billed as the company's first fourth-generation wrestler, after her great-grandfather
19:50Peter Maivia, her grandfather Rocky, and her father. Knee surgeries slowed her down early on,
19:57and she finally appeared on NXT TV as Ava Rain on October 25, 2022. On January 23, 2024,
20:06she became the youngest general manager in WWE history. Confirmed NXT deals reportedly start at
20:14around $75,000 a year, which is a working wage next to her father's movie fees. On January 30,
20:212026, she announced that she had chosen not to renew her contract, and she later said she had thought
20:27about leaving for about a year, and did not feel she was in a position to grow. Today, she works
20:33as
20:33a junior executive at Seven Bucks Productions, where she reads scripts, takes notes, and sits in meetings
20:40with writers, producers, and directors. The tequila carries all three girls with it. Every bottle of
20:47Terramana is stamped with the word Tijasi, made from the first letters of Tiana, Jasmine, and Simone.
20:54In December 2023, he said he wants the girls to see that the world is theirs, including as little
21:00girls of color, that they will have their struggles, and that Terramana can be their example of hard work.
21:07He has also said that when he is no longer around, at least his portion of the brand will go
21:12to them.
21:12How big that portion is remains a secret. His share of Terramana has never been made public,
21:19and he owns the company alongside Danny Garcia, Ken Austin, Jenna Fagnon, the Lopez family,
21:26and Mast Jägermeister. No public document lists what each daughter owns, what sits in a trust,
21:34or how the family plans to divide things between Simone and her younger sisters.
21:38So Jasmine and Tiana get the toys by tomorrow, the horses, and the premieres, while their father
21:45keeps the biggest gift wrapped inside a story about a padlock and $7. Click on one of the cards
