🕵️‍♂️ THE LINA REYES-GEDDES CASE | A 20-YEAR COLD CASE

In 1998, an unidentified woman was found dead in Utah.

For years, investigators knew almost nothing about her identity. She remained an unidentified victim, while the case slowly became a cold case.

Then, nearly two decades later, DNA technology finally gave her a name.

Her name was Lina Izaguirre Reyes-Geddes.

But identifying Lina was only the beginning.

As investigators reopened the case, they began looking deeper into her past and the people closest to her. New forensic analysis eventually pointed investigators toward Edward Geddes, Lina's husband.

In 2022, Utah authorities announced that the case had been solved, with Edward Geddes identified as the suspect. He had died before the case could reach trial.

In this documentary, we follow the Lina Reyes-Geddes case chronologically — from the discovery of the unidentified victim in 1998, to the DNA breakthrough in 2018, and the investigation that finally revealed the person authorities believed was responsible.
