00:17The Baku Security Forum has become one of the world's largest platforms,
00:21bringing together senior officials from security and intelligence services.

02:01The reality is that many of today's biggest security threats do not simply stop at national borders
02:07because of the nature of the types of attacks changing with technology.
02:12A cyber attack, for example, can originate thousands of kilometers away.
02:16Terror networks can operate across continents and technology is changing both the nature and speed of those threats.
02:24It's recognized that terrorist groups are taking advantage of current conflict situations in different parts of the world.

02:34Over the past two decades, the international community has really been able to make a significant progress in countering terrorism.
02:44Major terrorist groups have suffered significant territorial losses.
02:53The forum also featured a side event, jointly organized by Azerbaijan's State Security Service and the UN Office of Counterterrorism,
03:01focusing on strengthening national counter-terrorism capabilities through operational partnerships.
03:05So how can international cooperation help?

04:14And one of the main aims of this forum is to bring these agencies together.

04:22And another threat here is to encourage countries to work together to combat those future attacks.

04:38So it's very important to have this type of meetings in order to see what's happening in the cyber environment

04:53collaboration, communication and coordination.
