A girl lies in a cramped room bathed in the gray light of dawn. Her bed is an island of chaos—sheets tangled and pillow crumpled, as if she had been fighting an invisible foe all night. She is asleep, yet her slumber is shallow and restless. She tosses and turns, trying to escape the approaching day.
Outside, the world slowly awakens. The first rays of sunlight pierce the curtains, painting golden streaks across the walls. Birds begin their morning concert, and the street hums to life with the distant murmur of traffic. Yet, deep sleep eludes her. Something holds her back—perhaps thoughts that refuse to rest, or dreams blurring in the twilight of half-sleep. She clutches the blanket tightly, as if trying to hold onto the night.
Suddenly, a warm, wet tongue jolts her from her half-sleep. It is her dog, gently licking her hand and quietly begging for attention. This tender nudge finally breaks her resistance. The girl finally stirs to rise. Before heading out to work, she makes her way to the kitchen to brew and quietly enjoy her morning coffee. Each sip slowly chases away the remaining fatigue, grounding her for the busy hours ahead. Outside, the world waits, full of possibilities that might just bring her peace.
