00:04Mary Lynn Buckley out here covering the Nor'easter. We are at Midland Beach in Staten Island and you can
00:10see how high the water has come up already. I'm going to show you guys a closer look just so
00:16you can see tons of beach erosion here at Midland Beach. Now normally the water is so much further back
00:24and as you can see it's come up so high and the parking lot is just a few feet that
00:29way.
00:30So right now a lot of people in this area are concerned because during Hurricane Sandy this was in a
00:36location that was very badly flooded and we saw the water go past the parking lot which is just a
00:42few feet behind me all the way out to the main road and some people are coming out here to
00:47the beach just to take a look to see how high the tide is coming in.
00:52I mean right now it has moved in. You can even see there's a pocket right there. That's how far
00:58it's gotten but right now things seem to be under control at the moment. It can change at any given
01:05time but the rain is slowing down.
01:07But right now we really are still seeing that strong wind out here and of course the ocean still continuing
01:15to be at high tide moving in. We're going to keep an eye on it.

02:02I'm covering the nor'easter and I'm in Freeport, Long Island but I'm on Roosevelt Avenue and these cars on
02:07the sidewalk, they're here because the streets are flooded.
02:09And the house behind me, the guy who lives in here, he says that he can't even open his front
02:14door.
02:15The water is up to his knees.
02:17This is how it looks when you're walking to his front door.
02:20But he's not the only person on this block with this issue.
02:24Other people say that their basements are also flooded, their backyards are flooded, they had to tie a lot of
02:29things down and they're just not sure how to get rid of the water.
