00:04Fitzroy we didn't make the finals too often in our club's history
00:08we won a few premierships at Fitzroy but I guess you never get sick of
00:12reaching the grand final it's a pinnacle and
00:15you cash in when you can there we've got an awesome side and
00:19an awesome culture so it's cash in time and hopefully we can
00:23take the Chockeys this afternoon against Friot. Whenever the word
00:27Fitzroy comes up whether it's a football club or in passing
00:31people say somebody lives in Fitzroy the tears certainly come down your eyes
00:36there but yeah look a great club Fitzroy never
00:40forgotten and it's just great that the Brisbane Lions
00:44have been able to incorporate our colours and the song and our
00:48fantastic culture there that you know we're back on the big dance
00:51there four years in a row so it's absolutely fantastic. Well there is a
00:55split I think there's three or four different kinds of groups there Luke
00:59it's people that went over straight away and that was only because the great
01:03Kevin Murray said it was okay and that's what he was doing I guess the
01:07people that's taken a while to come across it's taken probably 30 years some
01:10people have jumped on board right now there are people that never jumped on
01:15board and and can't you know can't understand why Fitzroy was put out of
01:20business and couldn't play in the AFL anymore and there's those closet Brisbane
01:25line supporters there that when we wear a Fitzroy jumper from time to time they
01:29drag out their old Fitzroy jumper and a Brisbane line for the day but yeah look
01:34some people have come across and some people haven't it's just the way it is
01:38you know football's a major part of our lives here in Melbourne and all around
01:42Australia but you know love to have Fitzroy still around but you know we're fully
01:47on board with the Brisbane lines and have been so for many years.
