00:00:07I have so much in my spirit that I want to share with all of you today because God's been
00:00:12speaking
00:00:12to me about this topic and I want to share on the heavenly manna. In Hebrew, manna means
00:00:18what is it? Actually it's manhu in Hebrew, manhu. Where is it? Where is it? So the Bible tells us
00:00:25in Exodus 16, the Lord spoke to Moses saying, I have heard the complaints of the children
00:00:31of Israel. Speak to them saying, at twilight or evening, you shall eat meat and in the morning
00:00:37you shall be filled with bread and you shall know that I am the Lord your God. So it was
00:00:42that quails came up at evening and covered the camp and in the morning the dew lay all
00:00:48around the camp. Next verse. And when the layer of dew lifted, there on the surface of the
00:00:53wilderness was a small round substance as fine as frost on the ground. I want you all
00:00:59to say this, small round substance. So when the children of Israel saw it, they said to
00:01:07one another, manhu, manhu in Hebrew, what is it? For they did not know what it was. And
00:01:12Moses said to them, this is the bread which the Lord has given you to eat. Now I want to
00:01:22talk on this down through the years. It is something that is out of the ordinary because
00:01:27like I said, God has been speaking to me. You know, God spoke to me and which started
00:01:31me on this study of manna recently and God said this to me, that every single day, you
00:01:40know, the devil has designs, plans, purposes against you. Whatever design the devil comes
00:01:48against you, whatever the enemy has planned against you, let me just tell you this, it
00:01:56never catches our father by surprise. All right? Whatever troubles come your way, whatever
00:02:03trials will beset you in the coming day, it does not catch God by surprise. And God said
00:02:09this to me, I have wrapped up all your victory, all your supply, all your provisions, all your
00:02:16grace in the daily manna. All that you will need for the day is in the manna that you are
00:02:25to receive in the morning. And in that manna, even though it's small, all right, it contains
00:02:31all the supply, all the provisions, all the grace that you will need for that day. And manna
00:02:40is only for the day. You cannot keep manna for tomorrow. Remember some of them kept the
00:02:46manna for tomorrow and God says, don't keep manna for tomorrow. What happened? When they
00:02:50kept it for tomorrow, it bred worms and stank. Listen carefully, God does not want His people,
00:02:58listen carefully, independent of Him. That's why He taught us to pray, give us this day our,
00:03:08our, not our weekly or monthly bread, our daily bread. Amen. A wise father will not give everything
00:03:16to the child. The child will never come back to him. A wise father will say, anytime you
00:03:20need anything, come to me. Amen. In that way, there is communion, there is relationship, there
00:03:25is conversation, there is time together. Sometimes before Jessica comes to me, you know, I mean,
00:03:29I will say things like, all right, you want this? Jessica, give daddy a kiss over here.
00:03:32Give daddy a kiss over here. Give daddy a good hug, right? Amen. Our love is unconditional,
00:03:36but sometimes it's really good to put conditions. Amen. And get some of these kisses. Praise the
00:03:42Lord. Because, you know, it's a wise father that does that kind of thing. They will not
00:03:47give the child everything, but make the child come back to him for more. So God is a wise
00:03:53father. Can I have a good amen? But what is this manna? So I'm laying the foundation. I
00:03:57haven't started preaching yet. Hold your horses. And what is this manna? Again, let's
00:04:01specify the manna. The manna is our daily bread, which is the Word of God that comes
00:04:06to us. All right? It comes to us in bite size. Now, if God gave us the whole, all of
00:04:12His wisdom, all His condensed wisdom, how many know we can't take it? Do you know that
00:04:16there's a phrase in the Bible that says, as the snow comes down from the heaven, so shall
00:04:20my word be? Do you know that the clouds contain hundreds and hundreds of gallons of water?
00:04:30All the clouds combined. I forgot one time, I saw the measurement in a scientific journal.
00:04:36But if the clouds will release all the gallons and gallons of water at one time, it will even
00:04:42destroy your Mercedes. It will crush your house. Amen? It will fall splat like that. But you
00:04:51know what God does is amazing. When the clouds release that much water, all right, something
00:04:58happens in the atmospheric air with the water. When it mixes with the sentiments of the atmosphere,
00:05:06it becomes droplets. Droplets that drop gently, even on the tiniest flower, not destroying it,
00:05:15instead refreshing it. So shall my word be. Like the rain coming down, God gives you His
00:05:21word in drops, in bite size, that it will refresh you. Amen? God will not bless you altogether
00:05:29with His wisdom that is too condensed for you to receive. He gives you His wisdom in mana
00:05:34form. Mana form is small, round substance. Say again. Small, round substance. It's a very
00:05:44interesting thing. Now, what is the mana? We'll come back to the small, round thing again. But in
00:05:48John 6, please. Most assuredly or truly, truly, I say to you, Moses did not give you the bread from
00:05:54heaven, but my Father gives you the true bread from heaven. For the bread of God is He who comes
00:06:01down
00:06:01from heaven and gives life to the world. He did not come to give rules or laws. He came
00:06:06to give life. Then they said to Jesus, Lord, give us this bread always. And Jesus said to them,
00:06:13I am the bread of life. He who comes to me shall never hunger, and he who believes in me
00:06:19shall never
00:06:20thirst. So Jesus is the bread of life. He's the true mana, the true bread from heaven. Can I have
00:06:27a good
00:06:27amen? So this word of God we receive every day is not just the word of God, which is teos.
00:06:34It is the
00:06:35word of Christ, which is Christos. Now, many people say, faith comes by hearing the word of God.
00:06:42Actually, the original Greek says, faith comes by hearing the word of Christ. Remato Christos, not
00:06:49remato teos. Amen. It's the word about Christ. It's a revelation of Jesus Christ, of the person of
00:06:57Jesus. Every time you hear that sermon, it is mana from heaven. Amen. Perhaps some of you, you, for you,
00:07:09this mana is like, you know, your daily devotional. Some of you go to our website, you read up the
00:07:17daily
00:07:17devotional. That is mana. All right, for you. Some of you, a mana could be my book, Destined to
00:07:23Rain. You tell yourself, I'll read half a chapter every day. So that's your mana. I can recommend
00:07:28these things because I know what's in them. And they are full of Christ. Those who read it, can you
00:07:33say amen? Amen. They are full of Christ. So I can recommend them with no sense of qualification,
00:07:39whatever. Now, whatever the word of God that he's talking about, that we receive every day, it must be
00:07:46Jesus, the bread from heaven. Amen. And wrap up in that mana is all the grace, victory, power you need
00:07:54for that day. Amen, church? Now, once again, the mana came to them in verse 31. It says that the
00:08:02mana
00:08:02mana was, verse 31 please, like white coriander seed, and the taste of it was like wafers made
00:08:10with honey. All right, once again, it was white, it was like white coriander seed. Now, this is not
00:08:17the normal coriander seed. It's the coriander seed in Israel. It's white. It's pure white. Say pure white.
00:08:22And the taste is sweet, like honey. All right, keep that in mind. We'll come back to that again.
00:08:27And the Bible says that everyone will collect based on their need. Some people, their need
00:08:33is greater than others. That's why for them, one day's supply is four meals. Some people
00:08:41are satiated with only two meals a day. That's their appetite. All right, so God says when
00:08:46you collect the mana, this is what you must do when you collect the mana. In verse 16,
00:08:52this is the thing which the Lord has commanded. Let every man gather it according to each one's
00:08:56need. One omer for each person. Now, this omer is a measurement. It is not Bud Simpson's father.
00:09:08One, say omer. Not homer, okay. One omer for each person according to the number of persons. Now,
00:09:15look at verse 17. Now, it's a measurement, okay. It's a measurement. Then a children of Israel did so
00:09:20and gathered some more, some less. All right, look up here. Now, an omer is a measurement. Let me
00:09:26explain. You know, how many still remember when, before it was pounds, it was catties and tiles?
00:09:32You still remember that? You're quite old. Remember after that, it was pounds and ounces?
00:09:39Then now it's grams and kilograms, right? So back in Israel's time, an omer is one day supply.
00:09:46Supply. It's a one day supply. All right? So the Bible says, let's say they get up in the morning
00:09:52and they see all this small, small, like coriander seeds, small, small, white, round substance on the
00:09:56leaf and on the branches and all on the dew all over the place. And when they look at it,
00:10:01all right,
00:10:01they pick it up. They pick it up and they put in a bowl. They put in a bowl until
00:10:04it's full. So some
00:10:05people are really hungry. Their bowl is very big. Some is small. Now, listen carefully. Whether you gather
00:10:10much or you gather little, when it goes to the measurement of the homer for the daily supply,
00:10:15the Bible says in the last verse, when they measured it by homers, he who gathered much
00:10:20had nothing left over and he who gathered little had no lack. Isn't that amazing? A miracle happens.
00:10:27Look up here. What does that mean? You see, sometimes you look at people like Pastor Henry
00:10:31and they get big revelations of Jesus, you know, and we start feeling discouraged. For me,
00:10:36when I open my Bible or I listen to teachings, I can only understand a bit. I can understand this
00:10:41verse or one verse or two verse. Pastor Henry can understand 10 verses in one sitting.
00:10:45I'm not like Pastor Henry. He's a gifted teacher. So, you know, you feel a bit discouraged
00:10:49sometimes. But the Bible says whether you gather little or you gather much, all right, God will
00:10:53do this. Those who gather much, all right, the blessing they get out of it, the virtue they
00:10:59get out of it, the joy and peace they get out of it, the grace they get out of it
00:11:02will
00:11:03not be greater than the one who gathered little. The one who gathered little will not lack.
00:11:10The one who gathered little will have the same virtue, same grace, same power, same provision
00:11:16that Billy Graham has when he goes into the Word. Isn't God good? Don't worry about the
00:11:21teachings you don't understand. All right, you sit down here, Pastor Brent, I don't understand
00:11:24what you're teaching. Never mind, sometimes I don't understand myself. All right? But do
00:11:28thank God for the things you understand. Amen? Feed on what you do understand. Rejoice over
00:11:34what you can understand. And don't worry about things you don't understand. Because
00:11:39the blessing, the virtue you get out of the Word you understand will be the same as any
00:11:44gifted teacher who spends 10 chapters reading the Bible every day. And God is good. The
00:11:52next thing you need to know about the manna is that it cannot be kept the next day like
00:11:56I said just now. It will breed worms. All right? It will stink. So, we need to have fresh
00:12:02revelation every day. We cannot just say, oh, Pastor Prince, last Sunday the message was
00:12:06really good and I'm still chewing on it. All right? You've got to have your own notes
00:12:09as well. You've got to have a Word every day. Whether it's through listening to CDs or reading
00:12:15a book that is full of Christ, make sure you get your daily portion. Can I have a good
00:12:20amen? Now, I want to share with you again. Back to the small round thing, please. The Bible
00:12:27says the manna looked like this, all right? When the layer of the dew was lifted there on
00:12:31the surface of the wilderness was a small, round substance. Now, say small, round substance.
00:12:40Many of us are looking for big revelations of Jesus when God is giving us all the time,
00:12:47every day, every time, small revelations. But we're looking for big revelations, large
00:12:55apprehensions of Christ. People ask you, for example, what did you learn from God this past
00:12:58week? Nothing much. I just learned about the importance of the Bible and importance of
00:13:03it. It's nothing. Don't feel apologetic. There's nothing small when it comes to Jesus.
00:13:09Can I have a good amen? Don't compare yourself with Pastor Henry. Who can stand? That man
00:13:15is not human. He's gasoline, mean, spouting Scripture machine. Okay. Mean, spouting machine.
00:13:24Okay. But let me just say this to you, all right? God has every one of us in mind when
00:13:36God says, all right, give us this day our daily bread. That daily bread has all the power you
00:13:42need. Okay, listen carefully. And the manna comes small. Say small. We are all looking for
00:13:48signal mercies. We are looking for big revelation. People are waiting for big demonstration of God's
00:13:54love. When all the while, like just now, a mother was carrying a baby and the baby turned
00:13:59and looked at you and smiled. That was Jesus winking at you from heaven. Amen. When someone
00:14:05writes you a little note, it can be a small note, maybe not a round, but a small square
00:14:10thing, all right? But do you know what? That's heaven's wink at you. Amen. God moves someone's
00:14:15heart to bless you. Or you'll find yourself in a shopping mall and you'll find yourself at
00:14:19the right place at the right time when there's a special discount, all right? And you see
00:14:23the product in front of you. Hallelujah. Amen. It's a small thing. But let me tell you
00:14:26this, that's God's favor on you. And it's all around every single day. But we are too busy.
00:14:35We have missed all these small things because we are looking for the big things. The big
00:14:42revelations. They had to pick all the small, small, small ones and the small ones make their
00:14:45food. Amen. You know, when Jesus came one night, many years ago, there was no fanfare
00:14:55on earth. No one celebrated the King of Kings coming. He came in the smallest of all villages
00:15:01in Judea called the House of Bread, Bethlehem. Only the heavens celebrated and a few shepherds
00:15:10were informed. Besides that, he came as a small, round baby. Who would have thought that this
00:15:20baby would grow up and cleanse the lepers, open the eyes of the blind, unstop deaf ears,
00:15:27steal the storm and walk on the water and raise the dead? Who would have thought that this
00:15:31baby would grow up and stretch his hands wide and love all of us out of our freedom, out
00:15:36of our bondage into his freedom, out of hell into heaven? Who would have thought his blood
00:15:41would wash us whiter than snow? Who would have thought when he says, I am the light of the
00:15:46world, it is not a light that he brought to expose our sins. It was a light that he brought
00:15:50to show how cleansed we are by his blood. What a savior. But who would have thought he would
00:15:57begin on earth as a small, round baby? Turn to your neighbor and just like you. Okay, I'm
00:16:04just kidding. Okay. Now, don't despise the little revelations. Can I have a good amen?
00:16:10You know, it's the small things in life that really matters. You know, sometimes, you know,
00:16:13you hear a guy saying, you know, my wife's birthday is coming, Pastor Prince, and my wife
00:16:17been telling me that I'm not romantic, so I've decided to be romantic. Okay, brother, good
00:16:22on you. What are you trying to do? Pastor, my wife's birthday is coming, so I'm planning
00:16:26for a real romantic dinner that she'll never forget. It's a picnic. Okay, good, brother.
00:16:33What do you intend to do? Well, I'm polishing up on my Korean, because she loves Korean dramas.
00:16:41I don't know how many times I hear that. You know, so I'm learning to speak to her in Korean.
00:16:49And I'm going to have this, all these lights in a heart shape on the ground.
00:16:56When's your wife's birthday? Oh, 10 months from now. They're all waiting for that event,
00:17:03that particular day. You know, you know what my wife wants from me every day? It's a small
00:17:08things. Sometimes she wants me to come down here and sit down with me, watch this show.
00:17:12I will just sit down because it's important to her. These little things. Amen.
00:17:19You know, sometimes I tell her, darling, make coffee for me. And she says, what, you think
00:17:23I'm your servant? So what happened? And I began to realize it is not the request. It is how I
00:17:33say it.
00:17:34And then I learned small, small things are important. All right? Like holding a hand when
00:17:38you make the request and putting the simple, small round thing like, darling, can you make
00:17:42coffee for me? Well, it's amazing the difference. It's not all these big, big demonstrations.
00:17:50It's these small, small things that really matters. Amen. Come on now, church. Hallelujah.
00:18:02We cannot say that, well, some things the Bible is not, you know, years ago, I still remember
00:18:07when I was in my previous church, I was a teenager at that time, and I was reading the
00:18:10story of the woman caught in adultery brought before Jesus by the Pharisees, and Jesus stooped
00:18:15down twice. He stooped down and wrote on the ground. So I asked my church leader at that
00:18:19time, why did he stoop down and write on the ground? Don't ask these stupid questions.
00:18:27Later on, I realized he doesn't know the answer. Don't ask these stupid questions. Do you know
00:18:36why he stooped down on the ground? Do you know why he did that? I'll tell you something.
00:18:41If he never stooped down, if he never came down to where we are, we'll all be lost. God has
00:18:47a perfect standard. If he doesn't stoop down, he'll never bring us to where he is. You know,
00:18:52when Jesus preached the Sermon on the Mount, there is no sermon more sublime, there's no
00:18:57sermon more pristine, there's no sermon more glorious than the Sermon on the Mount.
00:19:04All right? It condemns us for his very perfection. Amen. He, you know, he didn't set out to condemn
00:19:11us, but it condemns us by his very perfection. Even if Tiger Woods played golf with me, all
00:19:16right, he can be smiling and very friendly to me. He doesn't condemn me verbally, but by his
00:19:20very perfection, I feel condemned. How many understand that? So when Jesus preached the
00:19:29Sermon on the Mount, let me tell you this, there's only one person who can keep the Sermon
00:19:33on the Mount, and that's our Lord Jesus Christ. Many people attempt. They even have problems
00:19:38loving their neighbor, stop thinking about loving their enemies. Amen. If Jesus preached the
00:19:46Sermon on the Mount and stayed up there, we're all finished. But praise be to God, at the end
00:19:51of the sermon, the Bible says he came down to where we were. And there was a leper. And he
00:19:59came close enough to touch the leper and cleanse the leper. If he didn't come down from the perfection
00:20:07of heaven and cleanse the leprosy of our sin, none of us will be here today. Nothing wrong
00:20:16with the sermon. But he had to come down. Jesus had to stoop down and right on the ground.
00:20:23Amen. Come on. And he wrote with his finger because they brought the woman caught in adultery
00:20:28and they said to Jesus, Master, Moses and his law says that such should be stoned. What
00:20:35says that? If Jesus says stone her, they say, uh-uh. So much for your teachings on forgiveness
00:20:44and love. If Jesus says, don't stone her, uh-uh. You're breaking Moses' law. So they brought
00:20:54the woman before Jesus caught in the act of adultery. From what I understand, when you
00:20:58have adultery, there is also a man. I think so lah. But the man wasn't there. Alright?
00:21:06Because probably he was one of the Pharisees. So they brought the woman before Jesus and threw
00:21:10her right very rudely in front of Jesus while he was teaching. And the Bible says, they
00:21:14asked Jesus those questions that I mentioned just now. Jesus answered nothing. He stooped
00:21:18down to the ground. With his finger, he wrote on the ground. Now, the place where he taught
00:21:23outside the temple, the precincts of the temple, many people think he wrote on the ground. With
00:21:27all apologies to the movie The Passion. I love that scene. But he didn't write in the earth
00:21:33of the ground because the temple ground was stony ground. With his finger, he wrote on the
00:21:39stone. If those Pharisees have eyes to see, even that small act, that small round act
00:21:47of Jesus, if they have eyes to see, Jesus was declaring that he is the one who gave the
00:21:53law. He is the one that wrote the law on stone. Amen? And they are telling him about the law?
00:22:00And then he stood up and he said, he that is without sin among you. Since you claim to
00:22:06uphold the law, let's see how much you are for the law. He that is without sin, throw the
00:22:11first stone. And one by one, they left. And then the Bible says something strange. Jesus
00:22:19stooped down again and wrote on the ground, on the stone, the second time. Now, what does
00:22:24that mean? The first time God gave the Ten Commandments, God wrote with the finger, his
00:22:28finger, on stones. What happened to those two tablets? It never made it to the foot of
00:22:34Mount Sinai. Moses broke it. Right? Because the people worshipped the golden calf. Now,
00:22:40that, that was an act of spiritual intelligence because if he didn't break the tablets, he
00:22:44goes into the camp with the tablets, all of them is destroyed. Notice that God was not
00:22:49angry at Moses for doing that. So he broke it. You can say that he's the first to break
00:22:54all the Ten Commandments. God gave him two tablets. He don't know what to do. All right?
00:23:03Then he went back to the mountain again, to the top of Mount Sinai. This time, God will
00:23:08give him another set of tablets. But before that, he spent 40 days and 40 nights in the
00:23:13presence of God on the top of Mount Sinai. What did God talk to him about? About laws?
00:23:18Thou shalt not? Thou shalt not? No! God talked to him about Jesus. About the glory of Jesus.
00:23:23About his beloved son for 40 days, 40 nights. In all the types and furnitures of the tabernacle.
00:23:28At the end of the 40 days, God says, oh yes, here are the new sets. I've written my finger.
00:23:34And you know where God told him to put it? Under the mercy seat. God does not want to see
00:23:38the
00:23:39law. God want to see the blood on the mercy seat. Because when God's eyes see blood, God
00:23:44cannot see your sin. I said when God sees blood, God cannot see sin. And God himself designed
00:23:51it to be like that. So the second set of stone is put inside the Ark of the Covenant. The
00:23:56mercy
00:23:56seat covers it. Amen. So when Jesus wrote the second time, it means what? Mercy seat.
00:24:05And then the Bible says, he stood up. He raised himself up and saw no one but the woman. He
00:24:10said to her, woman, where are those accusers of yours? Has no one condemned you? She said,
00:24:17no one, Lord. And Jesus said to her, neither do I condemn you. Go and sin no more. Many
00:24:24people, all right, are teaching and preaching, go and sin no more, then we won't condemn you.
00:24:31But you see, if people can go and sin no more, they would have done it in the Old Testament.
00:24:37Jesus would not have come or need to come. No, you must first, like Jesus, give the gift of no
00:24:45condemnation. That will empower people to go and sin no more. Lady, if your husband has a problem
00:24:52with pornography, it is not a recent problem. It is probably a childhood problem. And when he first
00:24:58discovered his bodily functions or he first discovered some pornography material, how was the response
00:25:04of a teacher or an authority figure or a parent? It was shame, shame. If the gift of no condemnation
00:25:11was not given, but shame and condemnation was given, wherever there's shame, wherever there's
00:25:18condemnation, that sin is bound to be repeated. But where there is the gift of no condemnation,
00:25:26that's the end of that sin. Hallelujah! You must realize even when you fail, there is no condemnation
00:25:33and thank God for it and that'll be the end of your sin. Once you receive the gift of no
00:25:38condemnation, for there is therefore now no condemnation for those who are in Christ, then
00:25:44that will empower you to go and sin no more. Amen? Now by the way, only Jesus and the woman
00:25:52was left. Many times I stop here. Look at the next verse. It's a continuation. Then, you
00:26:00see, then means it's a continuation. Jesus spoke to them again. Hey, they just left. There
00:26:04was no one there. Jesus must have walked outside with the woman. And the Pharisees were waiting
00:26:09outside. They can't take the heat inside. And you know what Jesus said to them? Watch this.
00:26:15I love this part. Jesus said to the Pharisees, I am the light of the world. He who follows
00:26:21me shall not walk in darkness, but have the light of life. You know, many a times I think
00:26:27of when Jesus is the light of the world, I'm so afraid to face Him because His light might
00:26:31expose my sin. But look at the context by which He says, I am the light. When He is the
00:26:35light,
00:26:36He saves that woman. Expose the Pharisees. Alright? The light of Jesus in your life does not show
00:26:42up how dirty, how sinful you are. The light of Jesus in your life shows how perfectly cleansed
00:26:49you are by His blood. It shows the perfection and the efficacy of the blood He shed. And
00:26:58that's why when the high priest of Israel goes into the holy of holies, into the very presence
00:27:03of Jehovah Himself under the light of the majesty on high, the same Shekinah glory that shines
00:27:09shines on the high priest, shines on all the precious stones on His breast. And each precious
00:27:14stone represents the people of God with a name of a tribe. You know, Jesus Christ today
00:27:19in the presence of God, the same favour, the same light that is on Him, alright, shines
00:27:24on all of us on His breast, in His love. And you know something? You know what happens to
00:27:31diamonds? Sapphires? When light shines on it, it sparkles. It shines. It shines. It shines
00:27:40back. It reflects that light. I want you to have that picture. Every time you come to God's
00:27:44presence, alright, His light does not show up your sin. His light shows how much you are
00:27:50cleansed. How beautiful you are. Oh, hallelujah! Amen. Amen. Sometimes I just feel happy. You're
00:27:59not happy. I'm happy. Hallelujah. I preach myself happy. I put my head on my bed. I feel
00:28:05as if heaven is smiling on me. Amen. What good news we have. I mean, your colleagues in your
00:28:11workplace, they all have a bad opinion of God. They are afraid if they give their life
00:28:15to God, God will make them a missionary to somewhere. They're so afraid they have a bad
00:28:19opinion of God. They think that if they give God their life, God will say, I want you to
00:28:24be poor for the rest of your life. I want you to do things you never wanted to do. That's
00:28:30not God. You have a bad opinion of God. Faith is having a good opinion of God. I say again,
00:28:36faith is having a good opinion of God. You know, when God told Abraham he would have a
00:28:40son, even in his old age, when all the evidence seems to say the contrary, you know what?
00:28:44He had a good opinion of God. Amen. He believed God. And finally, he had his miracle. You know,
00:28:49that woman with the issue of blood, she knows that if you touch Jesus, she's bound to be
00:28:53healed. Everyone who got healed, when they come to Jesus, they have a good opinion of
00:28:57Jesus that he will not turn them away. Even the Syrophornician woman believed if she
00:29:02perceived that she has a good opinion of Jesus and she was amply rewarded. Let me tell you
00:29:07this, faith is a good opinion of God. You're so scared you follow God's way, God will play
00:29:11you out. Let me tell you this, God cannot. There are some things God cannot do. God cannot
00:29:15lie. God cannot cheat. God cannot play you out. God is love. Amen. Faith is
00:29:23having a good opinion of God. And all the people said? Amen. Another thing we need
00:29:27to learn about the manna is this, the principle of manna. Besides a small round
00:29:31thing, like I said just now, it has a very sweet taste. Amen? May you never lose the
00:29:38taste. How many of you, when you come to church, you know, there was a time, maybe
00:29:42you come because of financial need. You come because you have a physical need in
00:29:46your body. You come because you have a marital need, whatever it is. But when you
00:29:50came, the message wasn't about your needs. The message was about Jesus, the word of
00:29:54Christ. But as you listen, all of a sudden, there was something sweet that was
00:29:59released inside you. And whether that sweetness caused you to overcome in that
00:30:04trial or even remove that trial, it got the job done. Never lose that sweetness.
00:30:12Amen? Because I'll tell you what happened later on. Very sad. Very sad. What happened
00:30:17later on can happen to any of us if we don't watch it? Later on, after God gave
00:30:21the manna, later on, the people murmured against the manna. And it was a mixed
00:30:27multitude that did this. Numbers 11. Now the mixed multitude who were among them
00:30:31yielded to intense craving. You know what's a mixed multitude? That means they're not
00:30:35pure Jews, okay? They are like half Indian, half Chinese, Chindians. Okay, I'm
00:30:42teasing myself, okay? I'm a new creation. Mixed multitude. So they joined the Jews
00:30:48when they came out of Egypt that night. They came into their houses to escape the
00:30:53angel of death. So many of them came out and they are the ones lusting. And they
00:30:58influenced Israel as well. And they started lusting for food. And Israel wept and said,
00:31:03who will give us meat to eat. We remember the fish, which we ate freely in Egypt. The
00:31:10cucumbers, the onions, and the garlic. But now, our whole being is dried up. There is
00:31:19nothing at all. Except this manna. What a sad thing to say. What a horrible, preposterous
00:31:34thing for them to say. There's nothing at all except manna. And there are people like
00:31:41this, you know, they come to church one day and they say, Pastor Prince, always preach
00:31:44about Jesus, always pray for Jesus, always pray for Jesus. Never get tired of hearing
00:31:49the word of Christ. Because in that word, in that rhema, it's all your grace, it's all
00:31:53your favor, it's all your provision, it's even your power to get wealth. I'm going to
00:32:00show you this right now, Deuteronomy 8. The manna is tied up with the power to get
00:32:03wealth. You never heard that before? I want to show you this, the context. Look at
00:32:06Deuteronomy 8, verse 18.
00:32:09And you shall remember the Lord your God, for it is He who gives you power to get wealth
00:32:16that He may establish His covenant which He swore to your fathers as it is this day.
00:32:23God gives you power to get wealth. God does not give you wealth. God gives you power to
00:32:30get. And in Hebrew, the word get is also to create. Not just to get, but also to create
00:32:37wealth. Amen. God gives you power to get wealth. And what's the purpose for the wealth
00:32:43in our life? For us to squander it and spend it on our own personal lusts and desires and
00:32:50cravings? No. It is to establish His covenant. Say His covenant. And what covenant is that
00:32:57which He swore to your fathers? The Abrahamic covenant. Not the law covenant, the Sinai covenant.
00:33:03Not that covenant, but the covenant of grace which He made with the fathers, Abraham, Isaac,
00:33:09Jacob, who lived more than 400 years before the law was given. Because He has promised that
00:33:15anyone who wants to establish His covenant of grace, the Abrahamic covenant, He will give
00:33:20power to get wealth. There is no power to get wealth to establish Moses or Sinaitic covenant.
00:33:28Only the Abrahamic covenant. And then you know what, church? Look at the context. He gives
00:33:37you power. Say power. Say He gives you. But you look at the context carefully. The only
00:33:44thing in the context that He gives you, in the first verse up there, 16, who fed you in
00:33:49the wilderness with, He fed you with, the only thing given here in the context is manna. And
00:33:57now He's saying, God gives you power. In your manna is the power to get wealth.
00:34:07Jesus said it like this. Don't run around trying to get wealth, trying to get wealth, trying
00:34:11to get wealth. Wealth doesn't come that way. Jesus says in Matthew chapter 6, seek first
00:34:16the kingdom of God and His righteousness and all these things and all the things He talked
00:34:21about are practical, material things like clothing, like food. All these things shall be added
00:34:26to you. Notice the manna principle in the next verse. Therefore, therefore means because
00:34:30of the preceding verse, do not worry about tomorrow. For tomorrow will worry about its
00:34:36own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. What Jesus is saying is that follow
00:34:40the manna principle. Just go for the manna every day. Don't worry about tomorrow. Seek first
00:34:46God's kingdom, which is righteousness, peace and joy that comes when you appropriate the
00:34:51manna. Hallelujah. When you receive the Word of God, how many of you, you feel more joy,
00:34:56you feel light, you feel free when you leave the service. Amen. Hallelujah. That's how you
00:35:04should feel all the time. Light and free. Amen. Not like the children of Israel who murmured
00:35:11against the manna and now they say, now our whole being is dried up. There is nothing in
00:35:17front of us except manna. They are dry and the devil loves dry Christian. In fact, the Bible
00:35:22says when the unclean spirit comes out, he goes about dry places. I'm not referring
00:35:26to physical conditions now. I'm referring to spiritual conditions. Today, you are wet, you
00:35:31are soaked, you are saturated in the Word of Christ because you choose to come. Amen.
00:35:38Now the devil don't like to be around you because you are wet with the Word of God.
00:35:41Amen. You are cleansed through the Word. Hallelujah.
00:35:49Amen. How can you say amen? You don't know why something. Hallelujah. Man, it feels good.
00:35:57Church, Jesus is saying, don't worry about tomorrow. There's a manna principle. He says,
00:36:01just get the manna and be joyful and happy today. Let's say you have an assignment. Your boss says,
00:36:07you know, I see capabilities in you. I think I want you to address this important corporation
00:36:10that's coming up, this meeting with 1,000 of your executives. I want you to give the
00:36:14presentation. And you say, my goodness, I can hardly present to one person. And my boss
00:36:19want me to present to 1,000 people. Amen. You get the shivers. You start thinking about
00:36:25next month's meeting and the more you think, the more afraid you are. Amen. You get cold
00:36:29feet. You get butterflies in your stomach. You know why? Because there is no manna today
00:36:35for the future. There's only manna today for today. Don't worry about tomorrow. Don't worry.
00:36:42Jesus Himself said, don't worry about tomorrow. Why? When that day comes, you know what? Because
00:36:46you have prayed, because you have a good opinion of God, you know God won't play you out. When
00:36:50you go up there to the podium, amen, all of a sudden you find, man, this is easier than
00:36:53I thought. The flow is there. Amen. And this is what I worried about. Hallelujah. People
00:37:04that's how the manna principle works. Don't worry about things that you're not meant to
00:37:08worry about today. Jesus says, because today is all the manna you need. Give us this day
00:37:13our daily bread. I don't know what's going to happen. Pastor Prince, shall I get married?
00:37:22I don't feel I can be a good wife. When you are married, you'll find the grace to be a
00:37:28good
00:37:28wife. Pastor Prince, shall we have our child? Is it too soon? My husband want a child, but
00:37:34I'm not too sure. When the day comes, all right, you'll both decide. When you have
00:37:38a child and the child is now in your womb, growing beautifully and wonderfully and
00:37:43fearfully made in the eyes of God, let me tell you this, you'll have the grace to
00:37:46carry the child. You'll have the grace to bring up the child. You'll have more than
00:37:49enough grace for the child. Amen. Don't worry about things today, all right, when
00:37:57today has enough troubles. All the manna you need is for today. Amen.
00:38:05Okay, let me bring this to a close. One of the saddest things I mentioned just now
00:38:10in Numbers 11, they complain, all right, now our whole being is dried up. There is
00:38:16nothing at all except this manna. You know, when they said all that, notice the
00:38:20manna change. Next verse, now the manna was like coriander seed and its color like
00:38:27the color of bedellium or pearl. Remember when God gave the manna at first, the color
00:38:33was pure white. Now the color has become pearl, which is off-white. Jesus is no more
00:38:39pure in their eyes. It's now off-white because they have changed. Even the manna
00:38:46changed. Come on. The very next verse says,
00:39:02How many of you tried cookies prepared with oil? It is tasteless. Remember the manna when
00:39:10it was first given? It was sweet like honey. Now it lost its taste. So they tried to ground
00:39:17it in millstones. They pound it in the mortar. They tried to have different users
00:39:22because some people, you know, this pounding and this grounding is a picture of human
00:39:26effort. You know, they go to the Word of God and they're not satisfied with what God
00:39:30comes, what God gives freely and easily obtained. They want their efforts to get
00:39:34the revelation and they want this knowledge, that knowledge from the Bible, this
00:39:38knowledge about money and this knowledge about that. And all the while, God wants to
00:39:41give us the Word of Christ freely. So Christ loses, or rather, Christ never loses his sweetness.
00:39:48Do you understand that? We lose our sweetness. When we are wrong, sometimes we think the world
00:39:55is wrong. Amen.
00:40:01Amen. You know, there was a song I used to sing last time in my youth fellowship. I keep falling
00:40:07in love with him over and over and over and over again. Anyone know this? I keep falling
00:40:13in love with him over and over and over and over again. He gets sweeter and sweeter as the days
00:40:21go by. Oh, what a love. Wait, stop. He gets sweeter and sweeter. You know how selfish we are when
00:40:28we sing
00:40:28that song? It's as if I'm the same, but he gets sweeter and sweeter. He changed, not me. God doesn't
00:40:39become, Jesus doesn't become sweeter and sweeter. He's as sweet as he always has been. You have become
00:40:45sweeter and sweeter. You have seen more and more of him. You have realized more and more of him. So
00:40:50he
00:40:50appears sweeter and sweeter, but actually you are becoming sweeter and sweeter. It's not as if when he
00:40:54first receives Christ, he says, I'm sweet, but not too much. Next time, I'll be sweeter. No, he's as sweet
00:41:00as he can be. Can I have a good amen? Amen. So for them, they lost that sweetness. It's because
00:41:10of
00:41:10their backslidden soul. Nothing wrong with reading magazines, nothing wrong with, you know, watching
00:41:19movies. But when these things consume you, and you have no more taste, look at Destined to Rain. Ah.
00:41:26Daily Divorce. Ah. Want to hear Pastor Prince's latest CD? Ah. And one day you look at others who are
00:41:35blessed, left, right, center, every which way but loose. And you say, ah. Because in the manner is all the
00:41:45provisions. It's all the provisions. It's all the victory. It's all the power to get and create
00:41:50wealth. Amen, church? Okay, let's bring this to a close. Praise the Lord.
00:42:00One of the most touching things about the manner is this part I'm about to share with you.
00:42:04When I first read it, it really touched my heart. You know, when you see them, you know,
00:42:10the children of Israel in the wilderness, it's like all of us believers. They're the people of God.
00:42:14It's like us believers in the wilderness of life. We're not in heaven yet, are we? One day we'll
00:42:20be in heaven. All right, we'll be in the blue sky up there somewhere yonder. Amen. Blue heaven is the
00:42:27place for... Okay, one day, one day we'll be there. Amen. But not yet. So we are... It's like a
00:42:33journey in
00:42:34the wilderness right now. And one day we'll be in heaven. So the place to learn your provision is the
00:42:41children of Israel before they entered the land. All right? In this type, the land is not always
00:42:47heaven, but sometimes it is. When you see the wilderness as a place of testing, a place
00:42:54where they went through different experiences, it's like all of us today. But one thing that
00:42:59was constant, the manna kept on falling. One of the most touching things I read was this.
00:43:09In Numbers 11, again from the start, they were murmuring, verse 1, verse 4, they were murmuring,
00:43:16complaining, and all the way to verse 6, they say, our whole being is dried up. There is nothing
00:43:20at all except this manna. This is verse 6. Look at verse 9. That night when they slept,
00:43:25even at night, when the murmurers and all the complaining people were sleeping, when the dew
00:43:31fell on the camp in the night, the manna fell on it. God kept on giving the manna.
00:43:45You can never out-sin the grace of God. It is bigger than your sin.
00:43:54When all the complainers were sleeping at night, mercy drops was falling all over the place.
00:44:04God's faithfulness, their victory, their provision, their power to get wealth was falling all around
00:44:10from there. Amen. Isn't God good?
00:44:19It says, it fell in the night. Say, in the night.
00:44:23The night is the darkest time of one's life.
00:44:27Alright? In the darkest time of those complainers and murmurous lives,
00:44:32God was still providing
00:44:39God works the night shift
00:44:42when you are sleeping.
00:44:44And sometimes I think it's because
00:44:46it's easier for Him to work, you know,
00:44:48when we are sleeping.
00:44:50Because we are so full of
00:44:52doing.
00:44:53We are so full of
00:44:54scheming. We are so full of
00:44:56I'll get this done.
00:44:58If nothing gets done, I'll get it.
00:45:00We are so full of self-effort
00:45:02that when we are sleeping,
00:45:04God is able to work finally.
00:45:05For when we work, God rests.
00:45:08When we rest,
00:45:10God works.

00:45:14Everyone should have a job.
00:45:16Paul says, Paul the apostle of grace
00:45:17says that if any does not work,
00:45:19neither should he eat.
00:45:20We're talking about that effort,

00:45:25laborious, painful
00:45:27self-effort
00:45:28that produces frustration
00:45:31when we rest.
00:45:32God works.
00:45:33There was a lady in
00:45:35Great Britain
00:45:36during the time of
00:45:38World War II
00:45:38when
00:45:40the Nazis were
00:45:41bombing
00:45:43London.
00:45:44And she had a house in London
00:45:46near the main street
00:45:47and all the people
00:45:48were running into the shelters
00:45:49and all that.
00:45:50And the next day when they came
00:45:51out of the shelters
00:45:52after the bombing,
00:45:53there were houses on fire
00:45:54and all that,
00:45:54but her house was still intact.
00:45:56The old lady's house.
00:45:57And the old lady
00:45:58was sleeping inside.
00:46:00So one of her neighbors
00:46:01went to her and said,
00:46:02aren't you afraid?
00:46:03How can you remain
00:46:03sleeping in the house?
00:46:05Oh, I read in my Bible
00:46:06the old lady says
00:46:07the other day
00:46:08that the God of Israel
00:46:09neither slumbers
00:46:10nor sleeps.
00:46:12So I figured
00:46:13there's no point for us
00:46:14both to stay awake.
00:46:16Faith
00:46:17always has a good opinion
00:46:19of God
00:46:20and God makes sure
00:46:21that faith
00:46:21is never disappointed.
00:46:24Those are the good
00:46:25opinions of God.
