Can you beleive that its now exactly 35 years since this Classic Gem debuted on the Sega Genesis way back in 1991? and still a Cult Classic til this Day!
Back in 1991,this Fast Moving Peruvian sorceress Girl scaled the top of the buildings of New York City and Mountain Rushmore, taking out generic 1920s Gangsters led by Mobsters corrupted by the Powers of an anciant Hellspawn Wind Demon. She moves with Grace and Speeed with her Boomerang weapons and her endless supply of magic Spells,Wolfteam and Renovation Productions gave us one of the earliest examples of a 2D Magical Girl/Platformer that came out around the same time as the Valis series and Kendo Rage!
And yes, while this game did get a Direct sequel on the Sega CD called "Anett Futatabi",but that game did not do the original Sega Genesis game proper Justice, which Annet was thrown into a generic/slow Moving "Final Fight Clone" Beat'em up with Clunky/Wonky Controls and Annet didnt move as fast as she used too!
The Beat'em up Genre just doesn't work for Annet, which she should just stick to fast moving 2D platforming.lol
The Game has become a Cult Classic for these past 35 Years which has its very own Fan Site,a Manga-Tie In,and A Quality of Life Improvement Rom hack Called "El Viento Enhancement"
