Armstrong Cane(RHAMES)returns to his old neighborhood a changed man after spending 15 years in prison. Looking to do good where he wants did evil Reverend Cane tries to resurrect the church left to the weeds at rats when his father, the pastor had died. Cane is trying to "save God" in this gang and drug infested 'hood.
Facing difficulties on all sides, Cane must deal with drug dealers in front of the church, parishioners who don't believe he should be in the pulpit and a "successful" TV preacher trying to buy his church out from under him.
