00:00Hi guys, it's Lita. Welcome to Separated by Few.
00:02So, all of us, at one point or another, have had to deal with bullying, correct?
00:06And it really, really hurts. Bullying can hurt quite a bit.
00:11And I mean, you know, sometimes it can be really funny.
00:13Like one time when I had purple hair, some kid was like,
00:16Yo man, you purple like grapefruit, lol.
00:22Grapefruits are pink and orange last time I checked, but okay, buddy.
00:26So, you know, that occasional funny bullying happens when they don't really intend to be funny,
00:32but it's funny anyway.
00:33But a lot of times, bullying is not an issue to be laughed at.
00:37I just want to teach you guys a couple of methods that I use to create immunity to bullying
00:41and the effects that it has on you.
00:44My first method that I use every time someone bullies me is basically my best friend.
00:51She calls me names all the time.
00:54She's mean to me in best friend way all the time.
00:58And when someone else that I don't even know says like,
01:02Oh, freak or like something like that,
01:05I just imagine them as my best friend dressed up like someone else.
01:09And so I'm like, that's my best friend, you know?
01:13It's kind of a weird method, but it works, at least for me.
01:17The most important method I would think is, um, it applies to basically anything,
01:24is do not take anything personally.
01:26Even if it's a good thing, don't take it personally.
01:29I mean, you can, you can accept good, good things if you would like.
01:32But when someone says something about you, it has nothing to do with you.
01:39Nothing.
01:40Honestly, anything that someone else claims about you, it has no, sorry,
01:47it has no relevance to you in any way, shape, or form at all.
01:52Because anything that someone else says is their own mindset and their own opinion
01:57that they are applying to you.
01:59But, if you keep in mind that anything that someone else says is, has nothing to do with
02:06you at all, then anything that they say will bounce right off of you and hit them in the
02:11face so freaking hard.
02:13Because what they want is they want to hurt you.
02:16And if you show them that it's not hurting you, they're going to be like, ah, well that
02:21was a fail.
02:22You know?
02:24They're going to feel bad about it.
02:25Maybe not, they might not show it, but, you know, if something, if their plan is foiled
02:32for hurting you, if you show them that you have an immunity to it, their own poisons that
02:39they're shooting at you will be shot right back at them and they will become way more
02:44poisoned than they already were.
02:45Also, if you are one of the people who bullies others, really, I know that everybody is raised
02:54differently.
02:55Everybody grows up with different beliefs from their parents, from their surroundings,
03:01from their friends.
03:03You know, everybody has different perceptions of what is good, what is bad, what is ugly,
03:08what is beautiful, what is skinny, etc.
03:11Um, I know that.
03:14But, the thing is, you have a choice of whether or not to take action and actually hurt someone.
03:25You can think whatever you want.
03:27It's human nature to judge things.
03:30You know, people say a lot of times, oh, I don't judge people.
03:33Yeah, you do.
03:34Yes, you do.
03:36It is human nature.
03:37It is an innate ability for humans to judge things.
03:43We would not survive if we didn't have judgment.
03:47You know, people need to judge what is good, what is bad, what is dangerous, what is safe.
03:52It's the same concept applied to people.
03:55You know, if someone had a gun up to your head, would you be like, oh, I don't know if
03:59that's good or bad.
04:00You know, you need judgment.
04:03You need to know jumping off a bridge over a spiky canyon of death spikes is good or bad.
04:12Obviously, my judgment is telling me that would be pretty bad.
04:16So, everybody judges everything.
04:19Everybody does.
04:20But, your brain judges it.
04:22It stays in your head unless you choose to announce it with your mouth.
04:27So, the thing I'm trying to get across is if you do bully people and if you do go forth
04:32and hurt someone, whether it be by word of mouth, straight to their face, or if it's
04:39on the internet, which is more likely since that happens all the time, still, it's going
04:44to hurt people unless they have an immunity to it.
04:46So, this basically goes hand in hand, not hurting people and having an immunity to things.
04:51Because, basically, nothing can happen if you choose not to hurt someone, then they
04:57won't get hurt.
04:59If you choose to hurt someone and they have an immunity to it, nothing happens.
05:05But, if you don't have an immunity to it, if you let words from other people hurt you,
05:12that's going to create a big dent in your confidence, in your self-love.
05:19It will.
05:20And, also, everybody, technically, is the same.
05:24You know, we all come from the same origin.
05:27We're all human beings.
05:29We're all the same species.
05:30It's like a cat bullying another cat saying, like, oh, you're a calico cat and I'm a Siamese
05:37cat.
05:38You're ugly because you're a calico cat.
05:40Calico cats are cute.
05:41Okay, Siamese cats are cute.
05:43They're different types, but they're the same species.
05:48And, all of us were growing in a womb and were birthed.
05:54You know, we were all conceived the same way.
05:58We're all brought up on the same planet, unless you're from, like, Asgard, like Thor, if you
06:03are.
06:04You're awesome.
06:05We have two boxes of cereal here.
06:08These are cornflakes.
06:10These are fruity churros.
06:11I thought I had fruit loops, but this will have to do.
06:14Every one of these fruit loops, well, a couple of them are the same color.
06:18They're all different.
06:19Whoops.
06:20They're all different colors, right?
06:21For cornflakes, these are all different sizes and in different shapes.
06:31So, basically, you can think of society and humanity and people as these two cereals.
06:40There are different colors and there are different shapes and sizes in people.
06:46Personalities, races, choices of style, body weight, height.
06:54See?
06:55Comparisons.
06:56But, the thing is, all they're different colors.
07:05Well, they all taste the same, because they have the same type of cereal.
07:09All these cornflakes, which are different sizes, different shapes.
07:26Well, gosh, these all taste the same, too.
07:29Even though those cornflakes were all different shapes and sizes, they all came from the same
07:34box, believe it or not.
07:36Even though those Fruity Cheerios were all different colors, same box.
07:43Humans are the same species.
07:46They come from the same origin.
07:47We are all the same.
07:50So, when you bully someone, maybe you just kind of think of them as the same type of cereal
07:57as you.
07:59There's no need to bully someone that is the same type of cereal as you.
08:04Just remember to try and see yourself in them, because we're all the same.
08:13We may have different personalities, we may have different perceptions of things, but we're
08:17all the same.
08:18And you can create an immunity to yourself if you just don't take anything that they say
08:22personally, because it honestly has nothing to do with you.
08:25You are who you decide you are.
08:29Your own perception of yourself, your own judgments of yourself, they are all that matters.
08:37Bullying can hurt if you let it hurt you.
08:41Alright guys, so I will see you guys later.
08:43Please have a really good day.
08:44I love you all.
08:45Goodbye.
08:47Goodbye.
08:49Music.
