00:00Russia hammered Ukraine's capital Kyiv with drones and daylight attacks on Wednesday,
00:05just hours before President Volodymyr Zelensky was set to deliver his address to the UN General
00:10Assembly. Ukrainian officials say two people were killed and over two dozen others were wounded in
00:16the strikes, which sent plumes of black smoke billowing above the city. The attacks on the
00:21capital targeted what local authorities said were residential buildings, as well as essential
00:26infrastructure sites. Ukrainian Railway's chief Aleksandr Perzovsky said Kyiv's rail network was
00:32under fire and urged maximum vigilance from passengers using the city's central station.
00:37The Kremlin's bombardment had already targeted other areas across the country in their overnight
00:42attacks. In Zaporizhia, two men were wounded after a Russian projectile struck a shopping mall,
00:48sparking a large fire. And in the southern port city of Odessa, a cargo ship captain was killed
00:54after a wave of strikes were traded from both sides, aimed at commercial vessels and designed
