The clip was filmed in Boston, Lincolnshire, during a Saturday afternoon drink in town. In the beer garden, a baby seagull is on the ground as Ellie moves closer and reaches down to pick it up. As she lifts the chick, it turns its head toward her face and clamps onto her cheek on one side. Ellie flinches and pulls back as the bird holds on for a moment before she recoils.
It is a quick reminder that even the smallest birds can be surprisingly direct when they do not want to be handled.
