00:00Let's listen to his statements.
00:04Distinguished delegates, ambassadors, and fellow leaders,
00:09it's my great honor to welcome the world to America
00:13as we celebrate 250 years of glorious freedom and independence.
00:19Two and a half centuries after the cause of liberty found its home on this continent,
00:25I can report to you with pride that America is back
00:30and our country is stronger today than ever before.
00:38Our economy is the envy of the world.
00:41Our military is the most powerful on earth.
00:43Our technology is second to none and we are leading in virtually everything.
00:49Our energy is fueling the planet.
00:51America is rising.
00:53Our nation is growing.
00:54Our power is expanding.
00:56Our country is doing better than ever before.
00:59And our future is very, very bright.
01:03Since I took office, we have created more than 1 million new private sector jobs
01:08and more Americans are working today by far than ever before.
01:14Last week, it was announced that the poverty rate has reached its lowest level in American history.
01:22We lifted 1.5 million Americans out of poverty last year alone, another record.
01:29The African American and Hispanic American poverty rates are at all-time lows.
01:36Real household incomes for Americans have soared to the highest level in history,
01:4287,000 on average, surpassing the prior record that I set in my first term.
01:50From day one, my administration has worked to remove every single unnecessary regulation
01:55and obstacle to doing business in America.
01:59We passed the largest tax cuts in American history, and as a result, more money is being invested in the
02:06United States right now
02:07than has ever been invested in any nation anywhere in the world.
02:12U.S. stock markets have set 80 all-time records, and that's just in the last 12 months.
02:21We've secured commitments for $21 trillion in new investments from all over the planet,
02:28compared to less than $1 trillion in four years in the previous administration.
02:33Two years ago, our country was dead, and now we have the hottest country anywhere in the world.
02:41Before I took office, we had the worst and most dangerous border on Earth,
02:45and now we have the most secure border in American history.
02:48Nobody comes in unless they're invited, unless they have permission.
02:54In the past 16 months, zero illegal aliens have been admitted to the United States,
03:00and that's done by some very sophisticated people.
03:03It's not done by the Trump administration.
03:05Zero.
03:06As a result, last year we achieved the largest drop in violent crime ever recorded.
03:13The murder rate has plummeted to its lowest level in 125 years since the year 1900.
03:20I sent our crime busters into Memphis, Tennessee, and New Orleans, Louisiana,
03:25and crime in each place went down over 80 percent, and it'll go down still further.
03:31More importantly, when I arrived on January 20th of last year in Washington, D.C.,
03:37it was riddled with crime, and now crime is down 87 percent, and we're going for 100.
03:45Tourism is, if you take a look, and I guess a lot of you have been there,
03:49tourism is thriving, restaurants are bustling, and people are proud of our nation's capital.
03:57They're proud like never before.
03:59We've invested more money in the United States military in the past 12 months than ever before,
04:05and this term, it'll be $1.5 trillion.
04:09We inherited a dark age of America from the previous administration,
04:14and we turned it into the golden age of America.
04:18The entire world is being lifted by the wealth, strength, spirit, and momentum
04:25of a newly energized and a very powerful United States of America.
04:30And just as we moved quickly to address problems we inherited at home,
04:35we have acted with decisiveness and speed to reshape the world stage
04:41and solve problems that have plagued us for far too long.
04:45Every leader in this room, and your great leaders, many great leaders,
04:49I know all of you very well,
04:52but they know that given only a short time to make this world better, safer,
04:58and more prosperous for our children, for the people on Earth,
05:01we have to take advantage of it.
05:03As president of the most extraordinary nation in history,
05:06I have no interest in leaving dangers to grow for another day.
05:11I do not believe in letting problems fester.
05:14They only become harder to solve.
05:17So while others have talked, I have acted.
05:20While others have spoken of peace, I have made peace.
05:25While others have ignored threats, I have confronted them.
05:30While others have talked of courage, America has shown it.
05:34While others have promised strength,
05:36I have used it to make America the most powerful country in the world.
05:42Working with many nations in this room,
05:45we are solving decades of intractable challenges,
05:48and we are settling years of unfinished business,
05:52and we're doing it well.
05:53There is no better example of a danger
05:56that was allowed to gather strength at the world's peril
05:59than the number one sponsor of terror,
06:03the Islamic Republic of Iran.
06:07For 51 years, the fanatical Iranian regime
06:11has ruled by bloodshed and mass murder,
06:15spreading death and carnage and chaos
06:18across the entire Middle East and beyond.
06:21They were the bully of the Middle East,
06:23but they are the bully no more.
06:25From the first day I entered the political arena,
06:29I've been unwavering.
06:30I will never allow Iran to have a nuclear weapon.
06:34Upon taking office last year,
06:37I immediately opened negotiations with Iran
06:39and offered them full economic cooperation
06:42in exchange for ending their nuclear program
06:45and support for terror, but they refused.
06:48They absolutely refused.
06:50That was a big mistake.
06:51Then, in Operation Midnight Hammer,
06:54the U.S. military obliterated their nuclear program
06:57beneath mountains of rubble.
06:59And again, I urged Iran to make a deal,
07:01and again, they refused.
07:04The regime continued building a vast missile
07:07and drone stockpile that threatened the security
07:10of every American service member in the region
07:12and everyone else in the region.
07:15They also made a missile that was capable of hitting Europe,
07:20and they were very proud of it.
07:21I hope the Europeans realized that.
07:24Iran's goal was to complete their mad dash
07:28to a nuclear bomb
07:30from behind this conventional ballistic missile shield.
07:34If they had succeeded,
07:36that wicked regime would have been free
07:38to spread terror and death forever,
07:40knowing that any attempt to stop them
07:43would face an arsenal of nuclear annihilation.
07:47In America, we just marked the 25th anniversary
07:50of the worst terror attack in history,
07:52September 11th, which killed 3,000 people
07:55just a few miles from here.
07:58It was an unbelievably terrible time.
08:02In two weeks, we will mark the third anniversary
08:04of the October 7th attack in Israel,
08:07where terrorists funded by Iran,
08:10tortured, mutilated, and killed 1,200 very innocent civilians,
08:15including dozens of Americans and many babies,
08:19babies, little, tiny, beautiful babies.
08:22Iran's supreme leader celebrated that massacre
08:25and called it a service to humanity.
08:28The same regime slaughtered over 72,000
08:32of its citizens this year.
08:33Recently, 10,000 were killed for protesting.
08:38Just imagine such a vile regime
08:42were ever empowered to carry out
08:44large-scale terror attacks
08:45from behind a nuclear shield.
08:48This was the reality we had to confront,
08:51a reality that far too many preferred to ignore.
08:54They all ignored it.
08:56Many presidents and many others
08:58just wanted to ignore it.
08:59They were unwilling to do anything about it,
09:01but they knew the problem.
09:03After giving Iran every chance for a deal,
09:06I took action to ensure that neither the United States
09:09nor any nation in this whole
09:11would ever have to face such a nightmare,
09:14such a catastrophic problem.
09:18As a result of Operation Epic Fury,
09:21all 159 ships of their navy
09:24are now lying at the bottom of the sea.
09:27Likewise, their air force is gone.
09:29Their radar is gone.
09:31Their anti-aircraft equipment is gone.
09:34Their missiles and drone manufacturing capacity
09:37is almost gone.
09:38Their economy is gone.
09:40The only thing that isn't gone is inflation,
09:44which is destroying their country
09:45and is now well over 300%.
09:50Yet even after we agreed to a ceasefire
09:53for nuclear discussions,
09:54Iran promptly violated it
09:56with brazen acts of terrorism
09:58against civilian ships from other countries.
10:01I want to thank the UN Security Council
10:03for voting overwhelmingly
10:06to pass a resolution condemning
10:08Iran's despicable terrorist attacks
10:11on commercial shipping.
10:13Thank you very much.
10:15That resolution, I'm pleased to say,
10:18received more co-sponsors
10:20from UN member nations
10:21than any Security Council resolution
10:25in history.
10:26That's something.
10:27Now we must be equally united
10:29in maintaining pressure.
10:31The United States Navy
10:33has recently escorted
10:34more than 1 billion barrels of oil
10:36out of the Strait of Hormos,
10:38and more oil is flowing
10:40than at any point
10:41since the start of the war.
10:43We're taking 22, 25, 30, 32,
10:46and 37 ships out,
10:49respectively,
10:50every single day,
10:51every single night.
10:53But I have a big decision to make.
10:57Will a deal be made with Iran
11:00that lets them rebuild
11:02and create a far greater country
11:05than it ever was before?
11:06Maybe one of the greatest
11:09in the Middle East
11:10or even the world.
11:12Or do I annihilate
11:14the Islamic Republic
11:15and do it quickly,
11:17never giving them a chance
11:18to kill and destroy
11:20people and countries again?
11:23Do I drive them into hell
11:25with no chance of survival
11:27and no hope
11:27of future greatness
11:29or generations?
11:31But I believe we'll make a deal
11:33right after the election
11:36because it doesn't make sense
11:38for them not to.
11:39They're waiting to see
11:40how I do in the midterm election.
11:43What they don't realize
11:44is that I'm not running.
11:46I did that already
11:48and won in a landslide.
11:50We won in a giant landslide.
11:52And I'll be here
11:53for two and a half years.
11:55The Republican Party is running,
11:57and I'll be helping them.
11:58But I am not running.
12:00I gave absolutely no credence
12:03and will not give credence
12:05to the election
12:06when it comes to Iran.
12:08It doesn't even enter my mind.
12:12The only thing that does
12:13is that Iran will never have
12:16a nuclear weapon.
12:18The cowards and traitors...
12:27The cowards and traitors
12:29would love to say
12:30the United States
12:31is low on munitions,
12:33but that's not true.
12:34We have more munitions
12:36than we could ever possibly
12:38even think of using,
12:40and we're building them
12:41at levels that we have
12:42never done before.
12:43We are adding to our stockpiles
12:46faster than we have ever
12:48been able to do before.
12:50Top-of-the-line stuff.
12:53In addition,
12:54in the very near future,
12:56massive munition plants
12:57will be opening.
12:58There are 18 of them
13:00being built by the greatest
13:02defense companies
13:03in the world right now.
13:0518 under construction.
13:07Some of them very quickly
13:08will be completed.
13:09They're almost there.
13:11And that rapid construction
13:13will be leading
13:14to very rapid deployment
13:16of missiles of every type
13:18and ammunition of every type,
13:20and will be able
13:21to supply our allies
13:23at a much faster rate
13:24than we're doing right now.
13:26I call on all nations
13:28to join us
13:29in enforcing
13:30the complete economic
13:31isolation of Iran
13:32until they stop their attacks
13:35on commercial shipping,
13:36relinquish their nuclear ambitions,
13:39and cease their support of terror.
13:42The terrorist regime
13:44is behaving badly,
13:46not because they are
13:48strong and confident,
13:50but because they are
13:51weak and desperate.
13:53If we stand united,
13:55we will soon see
13:56a world free
13:57of the last 51-year menace
14:00of Iranian terror,
14:02and oil prices
14:03will come plummeting down
14:04even lower than they were
14:06at the start of the conflict.
14:08And they were very low.
14:09In the United States,
14:10they were really low.
14:12With courage and resolve,
14:14anything is possible.
14:16Big changes can happen
14:18and happen fast.
14:19One year ago,
14:20when I addressed
14:21the great leaders
14:22in this hall,
14:23the war in Gaza
14:24was still raging brutally.
14:26The hostages
14:28were still deep
14:28in Hamas tunnels,
14:30and there was
14:31no end in sight.
14:32It was never going
14:33to be resolved.
14:34But here on the sidelines
14:37of the General Assembly,
14:38we took the first steps.
14:40It changed everything.
14:41A few weeks later,
14:43we ended the war
14:43in Gaza,
14:44saving untold
14:46thousands of lives.
14:47We also brought home
14:49all remaining hostages,
14:51both living and dead,
14:54every single one of them.
15:01Everyone thought
15:02it was a miracle
15:03that we were able
15:04to do so,
15:05and people celebrated
15:06in the streets.
15:07I want to express
15:08my gratitude
15:09to the United Nations
15:10Security Council
15:11for their unanimous
15:12endorsement
15:14of our 20-point Gaza
15:15peace plan
15:16and for officially
15:18approving the Board of Peace.
15:20It's going to be
15:20a very significant
15:21group of people.
15:23Nearly 30 countries
15:25have joined the board,
15:27which I am honored
15:28to chair.
15:29And we're thankful
15:30to many of those
15:31member nations
15:32for contributing
15:33billions and billions
15:34of dollars to relief.
15:36And it goes right
15:37to the rebuilding
15:38and relief of Morocco,
15:41Bahrain.
15:42These are the countries
15:43that gave Qatar,
15:44Kuwait, Kazakhstan,
15:46Saudi Arabia, Turkey,
15:48Uzbekistan,
15:49and many more.
15:51That money goes right
15:52to the source,
15:54right where they need it,
15:55and they desperately need it.
15:57And those countries
15:59have been very generous,
16:00and others also
16:01are stepping up
16:02at numbers
16:03that nobody
16:04would even believe
16:05because they want
16:05to see people live.
16:07They want to see
16:08the humanitarian thing
16:10happen properly.
16:11They've been fantastic.
16:12I also want to thank
16:14those who have committed
16:15troops, police,
16:16and training
16:17to help stabilize Gaza,
16:19including Indonesia,
16:21Morocco, Albania,
16:23Kosovo, Kazakhstan,
16:26Egypt, Jordan,
16:28and more.
16:29Since I took office,
16:31it has been
16:32my great honor
16:33to settle eight wars
16:34and in so doing
16:35become friendly
16:37with the leaders
16:38of many of those countries.
16:40It was a great honor
16:41to do it.
16:43Numerous of these wars
16:44have gone on
16:45for many years
16:46and even decades.
16:47The reason I was able
16:48to make these settlements
16:50was the use
16:50of my relationships,
16:53very special relationships
16:55to this day,
16:56very, very special.
16:57Trade,
16:58the use of tariffs
17:00and the threat
17:00of tariffs
17:01and various other reasons
17:03depending on the country.
17:05Among them,
17:07in terms of settlement,
17:09Cambodia
17:09and Thailand,
17:12Kosovo
17:13and Serbia,
17:15the Democratic Republic
17:16of the Congo
17:18and Rwanda,
17:20Pakistan
17:21and India,
17:23Armenia
17:24and Azerbaijan
17:25and, of course,
17:27the war in Gaza,
17:28which, as I stated previously,
17:30includes the return
17:31of all hostages,
17:33both living and dead.
17:35Almost every one
17:36of these countries
17:37wrote me a letter
17:38of thank you.
17:39The Prime Minister
17:40of Pakistan,
17:41a terrific man,
17:42said that Donald Trump
17:44was responsible
17:45for saving 30 million lives
17:47and probably many more
17:49than that.
17:49The President
17:51of Azerbaijan
17:52said President Trump
17:53in six months
17:54did a miracle.
17:55It was an absolute miracle
17:56that nobody thought
17:57could be done.
17:59The Prime Minister
18:00of Armenia
18:00said this breakthrough
18:02would simply
18:03not have been possible
18:04without President Trump's
18:06personal engagement
18:07and his resolute
18:09commitment to peace.
18:10The President
18:11of Cambodia
18:12stated President Trump's
18:13extraordinary statesmanship,
18:15marked by his commitment
18:16to resolving conflicts
18:18and preventing
18:19catastrophic wars
18:20through visionary,
18:22innovative diplomacy,
18:24was most recently
18:26demonstrated
18:26in his decisive role
18:28in brokering
18:29an immediate
18:29and unconditional
18:31ceasefire and peace.
18:33This timely intervention,
18:34which averted
18:35a potentially devastating
18:36conflict,
18:37was vital
18:38in preventing
18:39a great loss of lives
18:41and paved the way
18:43towards the restoration
18:45of peace.
18:45The President
18:47of Rwanda
18:48said when President Trump
18:49saw the opportunity
18:50to contribute to peace,
18:52he immediately took it.
18:53This conflict
18:54has lasted
18:55for 32 years.
18:56Millions and millions
18:58of people
18:58have died.
19:01We got it settled.
19:03We've seen
19:04countless mediations
19:05and efforts,
19:06but none
19:06has succeeded
19:07in resolving
19:08the underlying issues.
19:10President Donald Trump
19:12issued a new
19:13and effective
19:15statement
19:15that really
19:16has brought
19:17great peace
19:19and space
19:20through really
19:22a breakthrough
19:23that we thought
19:24was impossible.
19:26We're working
19:27very closely
19:27with the leaders
19:28of Russia
19:29and Ukraine,
19:30and we will
19:31get that one done.
19:32It's going to happen,
19:33I think,
19:34more quickly
19:34than people understand.
19:37They've had it.
19:4025,000 young people,
19:42mostly soldiers,
19:43a month are dying.
19:4425,000 a month.
19:46And I look
19:46at those battlefield
19:47pictures,
19:47and I really don't
19:49want to see them anymore.
19:50It's so horrible to see.
19:5225,000 a month,
19:54both sides.
19:55In addition,
19:56the United States
19:56and Iran
19:57will definitely
19:58get it done.
19:59We will get it done.
20:00One way or the other,
20:01it's going to be done.
20:01It's going to be done fast.
20:03A lot has happened
20:04since we last gathered here
20:06one year ago.
20:07In January,
20:08at my direction,
20:10the United States
20:11military conducted
20:12a massive military
20:13operation,
20:15penetrating deep
20:16into the
20:17Venezuelan capital,
20:19Caracas,
20:21descended on
20:22a heavily defended
20:23and fortified
20:24military base,
20:25one that was
20:26supposed to be
20:27flawless,
20:30against attack,
20:31and arrested
20:32the outlaw,
20:33dictator,
20:34real criminal,
20:36Nicolas Maduro.
20:38Since that day,
20:38hundreds of
20:39Venezuelan
20:40political prisoners
20:41have been freed.
20:42They've let them
20:42out of jails.
20:44And we're working
20:45closely with the
20:46leaders of Venezuela
20:47to forge a much
20:48better future
20:48for the Venezuelan
20:50people.
20:51Last month,
20:52we signed
20:52the largest oil deal
20:54in history,
20:55covering 65 billion
20:57barrels of oil,
20:59which will benefit
21:00both Venezuela
21:01and the United States
21:02enormously,
21:02and help drive down
21:03the cost of energy
21:04all over the world.
21:05and that is
21:06starting to perk
21:08right now.
21:09It's coming out.
21:10The biggest oil
21:11companies in the world
21:12are going in,
21:13and the numbers
21:14are absolutely
21:15incredible.
21:17When you add the
21:18United States
21:19and Venezuela
21:19together,
21:20we have more than
21:2060 percent of the
21:22oil in the world.
21:23So it's perhaps
21:24the biggest deal.
21:27It was a war,
21:28but it's perhaps
21:29the biggest deal
21:30ever made.
21:32To the victor
21:33belong the spoils.
21:35You've all heard that.
21:36Our actions in
21:37Venezuela are proof
21:38that the United States
21:39will no longer
21:40permit threats
21:41to America
21:42to gain a foothold
21:43anywhere in the
21:44Western Hemisphere.
21:46And if necessary,
21:47we will use
21:48our unmatched
21:50military might
21:51to secure
21:52the vital
21:52national interests
21:54of the United States.
21:55As you know,
21:56Venezuela had the finest
21:57equipment in the world
21:58from other countries,
21:59and guess what?
21:59It didn't work.
22:01It didn't even
22:02come close to working.
22:03For decades,
22:04other administrations
22:05allowed much
22:06of this region
22:07to be dominated
22:08by vicious gangs
22:09and bloodthirsty
22:10drug cartels,
22:11destabilized
22:12by uncontrolled
22:13migration,
22:15and infiltrated
22:16by hostile
22:17foreign adversaries,
22:21foreign,
22:21sick,
22:23demented
22:25adversaries.
22:26But not anymore.
22:27we are reasserting
22:29American power,
22:30including American
22:31military power
22:32where necessary.
22:33In our region
22:34and around the world
22:35to create
22:36a safer future
22:38for all of us,
22:39it's happening,
22:39and it's happening
22:40quickly.
22:41Upon taking office,
22:42I designated
22:43the drug cartels
22:45as foreign terrorist
22:47organizations
22:48and unleashed
22:50the United States
22:51armed forces
22:52to eliminate them.
22:54The cartels
22:55are the ISIS
22:56of the Western
22:57Hemisphere,
22:59not good people.
23:01They're enemies
23:02at war
23:03with civilization,
23:05using murder,
23:06rape,
23:06torture,
23:06and extortion
23:07as instruments
23:08of terror.
23:13Like ISIS,
23:15they should be killed,
23:16exiled,
23:17or detained
23:17as enemy combatants
23:19without the possibility
23:20of release,
23:21which is what we're doing.
23:22To that end,
23:23the United States
23:24has carried out
23:24dozens of strikes
23:25on cartel drug boats,
23:28destroying 97%
23:29of the drugs
23:31coming into
23:33the ocean and sea.
23:34You've seen it.
23:36They disappear
23:37very quickly,
23:39and we're down 90%.
23:40They're down 97%.
23:42Nobody thought
23:43that was possible.
23:44It was a big source
23:45of delivery.
23:47And three months ago,
23:48we terminated the leader
23:49of the Venezuelan gang,
23:51Tren de Aragua.
23:53Mexico is the epicenter
23:55of the cartel violence,
23:57unfortunately.
23:58It's unacceptable
23:59for the United States
24:00to share
24:00a 2,000-mile border
24:02with a territory
24:03controlled
24:04by enemy cartels.
24:06So Mexico
24:07must reclaim
24:08control of its soil
24:09from the enemies
24:10of humanity.
24:11My administration
24:12is also seeking
24:13a fundamental change
24:15in the situation
24:16in Cuba,
24:17where the communist regime
24:18is under great pressure,
24:20the biggest pressure
24:21they've ever been under.
24:23It's an absolutely
24:24failed state.
24:27It's failing
24:28like never before,
24:29and it will fall.
24:31Marco Rubio
24:32is handling
24:33a negotiation.
24:34He's deep
24:34into negotiations
24:35with Cuba.
24:36Let's see what happens.
24:37We'll not allow
24:38a haven
24:40for foreign adversaries
24:41to threaten America
24:42on our own doorstep.
24:45It's right
24:46at our doorstep.
24:46The Cuban regime
24:47has also spent decades
24:49coordinating
24:50with the left-wing radicals
24:51and communist networks
24:52here in the United States.
24:55As our State Department
24:56has detailed,
24:58they've cultivated ties
24:59to subversive
25:00and radical groups
25:01such as
25:02the Communist Party USA,
25:04Antifa,
25:05and the Democrat Socialists
25:07of America.
25:08Communism will never be
25:10coming to America,
25:11but freedom
25:12will be coming to Cuba,
25:14and safety and security
25:15will be coming to Mexico.
25:18I'm very proud to tell you
25:19we have a very good
25:20relationship
25:20with the Mexican government.
25:22We've made great strides,
25:23very great strides,
25:24with Mexico.
25:25They don't want
25:26the cartels either.
25:28And when that day comes,
25:30this entire region
25:31will be a better,
25:32safer,
25:33and more beautiful place
25:34in which to live
25:35and thrive.
25:36As I announced just days ago,
25:39the United States
25:40has also reached
25:42an unprecedented agreement
25:43regarding the northern frontier
25:45of North America,
25:46the large and strategically vital
25:49piece of land
25:50known as Greenland.
25:51This agreement made
25:53with the Kingdom of Denmark,
25:55an incredible,
25:56beautiful country,
25:57and the Greenland people itself
26:00gives the United States
26:02permanent control
26:03over security
26:04and all other needs
26:05on that territory.
26:06We will have the complete ability
26:08to do what is necessary
26:10to defend the American continent
26:13and also Europe
26:14and other places.
26:15No U.S. adversary
26:18will ever be permitted
26:19to establish a military presence
26:21in Greenland anymore
26:22or make sensitive investments
26:24there without our
26:25express written approval.
26:26We will immediately begin
26:28the process of developing
26:30a large military presence
26:31in the appropriate locations.
26:34we will be building
26:36two very major military bases.
26:39This agreement will be signed
26:41later today,
26:42and I look forward to working
26:44with the wonderful people
26:46of Denmark and Greenland.
26:48It's been a great experience,
26:50amazing experience,
26:51and we've really formed a bond
26:52in doing it.
26:54By expanding America's footprint
26:56in the Arctic and North Atlantic,
26:58this deal also protects Europe
27:00in addition to America
27:02and greatly protects them.
27:04It also very much enhances NATO
27:08with who has a great leader,
27:10and Mark, I know you're in the audience,
27:12and you are indeed a great leader,
27:15Mark Ruta,
27:16which is now growing stronger
27:19than ever before.
27:20NATO is doing things
27:21that nobody thought
27:22they would be able to do,
27:23including raising their number
27:24to 5 percent from 2 percent,
27:27a number that's a protection
27:28that's going to be
27:29much greater protection for them.
27:32We continue to seek
27:34and end the disastrous war
27:36between Russia and Ukraine,
27:38which is killing,
27:39as I said,
27:41thousands and thousands
27:42of people every month.
27:44Last week,
27:45in honor of Senator Lindsey Graham,
27:47I signed a powerful new law
27:49passed by Congress
27:50providing me with
27:51enormous new tariff authorities,
27:53and if necessary,
27:54I will have to use them.
27:56It's time to stop the killing.
27:58I also want to recognize
28:00the extraordinary work
28:01of our great First Lady,
28:03who has secured
28:04the safe return
28:05of many displaced Ukrainian
28:07and Russian children
28:08back home to their families.
28:10So many.
28:11Thank you very much, First Lady.
28:14Thank you very much.
28:15Where is our First Lady?
28:18Where is she?
28:19She's around here someplace.
28:21Can you imagine
28:21I can't see the First Lady?
28:24Thank you very much, First Lady.
28:27Great job.
28:28She worked so hard on it.
28:29This year,
28:30she also became
28:31the only First Lady in history
28:33to preside over a meeting
28:34of the UN Security Council,
28:37and she did it very well.
28:38And today,
28:39she's hosting a gathering
28:41of Fostering the Future Together,
28:43which has nearly
28:4460 members
28:46to help improve
28:46the lives of young people
28:48all over the world.
28:49So, Melania,
28:50thank you very much.
28:51Great job.
28:52Great job you're doing.
28:54Led by Ambassador Michael Waltz
28:56here at the United Nations,
28:58we have also worked
28:59with many countries
29:00in this room
29:01to implement
29:02the most sweeping
29:03UN reforms in history.
29:05We cut the UN budget
29:07for the first time ever,
29:09slashing it by 15%
29:10in 2026
29:12that eliminated more than
29:134,000 positions
29:14from the UN bureaucracy.
29:16The United Nations
29:18has great, great potential.
29:20I've said that for many years.
29:21But it must stop imposing
29:23the far-left agenda
29:24of globalist bureaucrats
29:26who nobody ever elected.
29:28Last year,
29:29my administration
29:30was forced to intervene
29:31to stop an obscure UN body,
29:34the International Maritime Organization,
29:37from secretly establishing
29:39a first-ever global carbon tax,
29:43a very expensive tax,
29:44to raise international shipping costs
29:47by 10 to 20%,
29:49and maybe more than that.
29:51There is no global government,
29:53and while I'm president,
29:54there will be no global taxes.
29:58The United States
29:59is equally opposed
30:00to the out-of-control.
30:04Thank you very much.
30:06The United States
30:07is equally opposed
30:08to the out-of-control institution
30:10known as
30:11the International Criminal Court.
30:14We will never allow
30:15U.S. service members
30:16or anyone else
30:17to be investigated
30:18or given show trials
30:20by an anti-American tribunal
30:22with no jurisdiction over us.
30:24They're an evil group of people.
30:26I call on all nations
30:28that are members of the ICC
30:30to officially resign
30:31from this rogue institution
30:33immediately.
30:34It is equally unacceptable
30:36that with all the genuine atrocities
30:38in the world,
30:40the U.N.'s top human rights officials
30:42spend their time
30:43criticizing the United States
30:44for protecting our children
30:45from transgender mutilization
30:49and transgender insanity
30:51and enforcing our immigration laws.
30:56What they do
30:57is unbelievable
30:58what they do.
31:00It's transgender
31:01mutilization of our children.
31:03The craven hypocrites
31:05of Human Rights Council
31:07have little to say
31:08about the persecution
31:09of Christians.
31:11I mean, Christians
31:12are being persecuted
31:13all over the world.
31:14It's not even believable.
31:15I never thought I'd say it.
31:16But it's been happening
31:18for a long time.
31:19So this is persecution
31:21of Christians
31:22who are the crimes
31:23of the world's
31:24most repressive regimes.
31:25Yet they want America
31:27to open up our borders
31:28to gangs and criminals
31:29from world's
31:31most dangerous places.
31:32They want the worst people
31:34to come in
31:35from the worst places on Earth.
31:37And we don't do it anymore.
31:38We did do it.
31:39But we don't do that anymore.
31:41It is deeply ironic
31:43that the United Nations
31:44has an entire institution,
31:46the UNESCO group
31:49of people and countries
31:51devoted to protecting
31:52cultural heritage.
31:54Yet with their ceaseless promotion
31:56of mass migration,
31:57these globalists
31:58are actively destroying
32:00the greatest cultures
32:01and most extraordinary heritage
32:03in all of history.
32:05There is no human right
32:06to illegal immigration,
32:08but there is a right
32:10to remain a sovereign nation.
32:11And we want to remain
32:13a sovereign nation.
32:14And so should you.
32:16The United States
32:17also totally rejects
32:18any attempt
32:19to construct a globalist scheme
32:21to control
32:22for the artificial intelligence
32:25being spoken of so much now,
32:28here and after officially called
32:30super intelligence,
32:32changing the name,
32:33and that the use
32:35of the word artificial
32:36makes intelligence fake.
32:38It makes it sound fake,
32:39and it is not fake.
32:40It's actually amazing.
32:43But we have to be careful.
32:45In fact,
32:46it is exactly the opposite
32:47of what it purports.
32:50From this point forward,
32:52all of United States documents
32:54and hopefully the worlds
32:55will be changed
32:56to use the much more accurate term
32:58super as opposed to artificial.
33:02So it's super intelligence.
33:05In other words,
33:06welcome to the new world
33:08of super intelligence dash SI.
33:12SI.
33:12Let's see if that goes.
33:14It sounds much better.
33:15It is much better.
33:16And it's much more accurate.
33:18Let's see if I have any power.
33:20Maybe I do and maybe I don't.
33:22We're going to find out pretty soon.
33:23Super intelligence.
33:25Every major new technology
33:27brings challenges.
33:28And super intelligence
33:29is no exception.
33:32Yet the very same people
33:33who said we'll all be dead
33:35in 12 years
33:36because of global warming.
33:37And they've since reborn
33:39to climate change
33:40because the planet was cooling,
33:42not warming.
33:42And nobody was dead.
33:44These are the same people
33:46that are now saying
33:47that AI is going to kill us all,
33:49that robots are going to attack us,
33:51and that everything
33:52is going to be a total disaster.
33:53It's the same group of people.
33:56This is the group
33:58that came up with
34:00the Russia, Russia, Russia hoax,
34:03the Ukraine, Ukraine, Ukraine hoax,
34:06climate change, open borders.
34:10Whoever wins AI,
34:12you have to remember this,
34:13and now I say,
34:14whoever wins SI,
34:17whoever wins super intelligent, wins.
34:21That's the group that wins.
34:23And we're leading now
34:24over China by a lot
34:25and everyone else,
34:27and we're going to keep it that way.
34:29We're going to keep it very,
34:32very straight and very strong.
34:33I'm not going to stifle growth
34:35of something that will be bigger
34:37than the Industrial Revolution.
34:39Many say bigger
34:39than the Industrial Revolution
34:41or the Internet itself.
34:43And we will be very careful,
34:45and that's why we have
34:47a Department of Justice
34:48that we've already used it
34:49having to do with this very subject
34:51and used it very powerfully.
34:53Everything worked out very well
34:55and very quickly.
34:56And other law enforcement bodies
34:58that will rein things in
34:59if we have to do that.
35:02But we will only encourage
35:05super intelligence.
35:06We're going to encourage it,
35:07not rein it in.
35:09We're going to watch it closely
35:10through the Department of Justice.
35:12The United States leads the world
35:14in super intelligence,
35:15and we'll continue to do so
35:17safely and responsibly.
35:20Americans have never been a nation
35:22that retreats from a frontier
35:23or shrinks from a challenge,
35:26no matter how great
35:27or how daunting that challenge may be.
35:30Freedom was not a gift
35:32that Americans won easily
35:33after 250 years,
35:35and it is not one
35:36that we will ever,
35:38ever, ever surrender.
35:40It was right here in New York City
35:42that George Washington ordered.
35:44The Declaration of Independence
35:46read to his troops in 1776.
35:50As they listened to those immortal words,
35:52for the first time,
35:53the patriots could see
35:55across the waters of New York Harbor
35:57to a British invasion fleet,
35:59more than 100 ships strong,
36:02which had just arrived
36:03to crush the cause of liberty.
36:06Thousands of soldiers
36:07getting off those ships.
36:09Nobody stood a chance,
36:11but we won,
36:12and we won decisively.
36:13Those first Americans knew
36:15that it is not enough merely
36:16to believe in great principles.
36:19We must also have the will
36:21and the courage
36:21and the strength
36:22to defend them.
36:24As we gather in this same city
36:27two and a half centuries later
36:29to discuss the great events
36:31of our time,
36:31that is the challenge
36:33for every nation
36:35in this room.
36:37If we go forward strong
36:39and united against the enemies
36:40of all humanity,
36:42if we reject the voices
36:44who would have us give in
36:46to fear and doubt,
36:47if we refuse to shrink
36:49from our duties
36:50to our people,
36:53then together,
36:54through bold action,
36:55we will make this world
36:57far safer
36:58and a far better place.
36:59We will leave our nations
37:01far stronger.
37:03We will grow our economies
37:05far bigger,
37:07and we will not just speak
37:08of peace, prosperity,
37:10and justice here
37:11at the United Nations.
37:13We will stand for them
