00:17The Facebook post, published at the beginning of September,
00:21claims that Zelensky and his family have Israel as their chosen homeland instead of Ukraine.
00:27But the passports are fake.
00:29Ukrainian public officials are not permitted to hold multiple citizenships,
00:34unlike members of the general public.
00:36The false passport belonging to Zelenska also lists the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic
00:42as her place of birth.
00:44This is inaccurate as anyone born before 1991 lists Ukraine as their country of birth
00:50rather than the Soviet Union or Ukrainian SSR.
00:54The Cube team also ran it through an image detector, which indicated it was AI-generated.
01:01The fake passport appears to have been created based on a sample template published on the Council of Europe website.
01:08But this is not the first time Zelensky and Zelenska's passport have been circulated online.
01:13In April 2026, an image of an alleged Israeli passport of Zelensky was shared on Instagram, X and Facebook.
01:22Some posts claim the Ukrainian president was an agent for Israel's intelligence agency.
01:29In fact, stories about Zelensky's alleged passport have been doing the rounds since at least 2023.
01:36They all follow the same playbook, use an AI-generated passport to invent a scandal with some real elements
01:42to target Ukraine and undermine support from its allies.
