In Sahih al-Bukhari 168, Mother of the Believers 'Aisha (RA) narrates that Prophet Muhammad (ﷺ) loved to start from his right side in everything he did:
Wearing Shoes: Putting on the right shoe/footwear first.
Grooming: Combing his hair starting from the right side.
Purification: Washing the right limbs first in Wudu and Ghusl.
All Noble Acts: Prioritizing the right side for eating, drinking, giving, and receiving.
The Golden Fiqh Principle: Islamic scholars note that the right side is preferred for all honorable, pure, and clean actions (Tayammun), while the left side is designated for entering the restroom or cleaning impurities.
