04:09thick columns of black smoke and huge flames rose over southeast Moscow
04:13at dawn on Sunday after a combined force of Ukrainian drones and ballistic missiles
04:19struck the Gazpromneft oil refinery in Moscow,
04:22located in the Kapotnyi district, about 15 kilometers from the Kremlin.
04:26The attack was described by Moscow Mayor Sergei Sobyanin
04:30as the largest attack on the capital since the start of the invasion.
04:34The raiders also triggered a fire at a warehouse complex in Sofino,
04:39and during the air battle, several residential buildings in the Moscow region

05:33and Moscow is 500 kilometers away from Ukraine.
05:36This implies that either the FP-7 has a longer range than originally reported,
05:40or that the Ukrainians are already testing the FB-9 missile,
05:44which is a heavier version with an estimated range of 850 kilometers.
05:49Regardless of the systems used,
05:51Russian authorities stated that only minor damage was caused to the refinery's facilities.

06:27The facility had already suffered severe damage in an attack in June 2026
06:32and was expected to resume full operations in 2027.
06:37Obviously, the Ukrainians aren't interested in this refinery operating again next year or ever.
06:43Something that caught my attention again is that this raid illustrates Ukraine's growing capability
06:48to launch coordinated long-range strikes involving swarms of drones,
06:53cruise missiles, and now ballistic missiles,
06:56which converge from multiple directions,
06:58piercing through powerful air defenses thanks to the sheer volume of attackers,
07:02striking a high-value economic target right inside the capital region of Mordor itself,
