Choosing to protect someone does.  Albert Hartree, known as Al, has always admired heroes. When he is suddenly transported to the alien planet Voltissia and awakens to extraordinary powers, his childhood dream becomes a reality.  Stranded far from home, Al joins forces with the Enelf, the survivors of a civilization destroyed by the Calamity. To protect them and find a way home, he must learn to control his powers and discover what it truly means to become a hero.
