00:00Welcome to the center of the baseball world tonight.
00:03It's one of the world powers.
00:04Japan taking on one of the big surprises in this tournament in Team Mexico.
00:09Here we go.
00:10Mexico, Patrick Sandoval.
00:12A teammate for Shohei Otani.
00:14This is a guy who's going to mix it up, that slider changeup,
00:16but throws 37% fastball rate.
00:19I would think this is the bait pitch right here.
00:21Not so much an action pitch.
00:24It worked.
00:25Oh, that was nasty right there, and that's the way he's going to pitch today.
00:28The Pan's got their hands full.
00:30And strike three.
00:31Got the call on the outside corner.
00:33Boy, Sandoval's looking nice right now.
00:36And so it's full-on Otani on a payoff pitch.
00:39Otani watches strike three.
00:41And how about Patrick Sandoval here in the first?
00:44Isaac Taredes, a single with Luis Urias standing in.
00:49Another one, too.
00:50Urias right back up, looks at Sandoval.
00:53And hit the pitcher, maybe right in the midsection,
00:56and Urias will be safe at first.
00:58That was like a punch to the stomach, I think.
01:01I think he's going to be okay, though.
01:03Yeah, that's going to hurt.
01:04It's going to leave a bruise, but I think...
01:05No score in the second inning.
01:07Pass ball on the ground.
01:08Should be two.
01:09There's one.
01:10Throw to first.
01:11Got him double play.
01:12A gut punch to Roki Sasaki, but he gets up off the turf
01:16with that changeup up in the zone.
01:19Because of what a big star he is.
01:21Chopper to short.
01:22The flip to second.
01:23That's one.
01:23Throw to first.
01:24Got him double play.
01:25What a turn with the first baseman Okamoto running just enough time
01:32to turn that ground ball into two outs.
01:37One hit, nobody left.
01:38A one for Rios to Lafayette.
01:42Straight back on the ocean.
01:44It is good!
01:47Mexico!
01:50Magdalena, Mexico!
01:54Mexico's finest, Luis Lurias, comes huge!
01:58The 1-1.
01:59That one is hit down the left field line.
02:01A Rosarino on the move.
02:02A Rosarino will get there and make the catch!
02:08Now the 2-2.
02:09It is hit high and deep down the right field line.
02:13Toward the corner.
02:14It is...
02:16Good!
02:16Off the foul pole!
02:18Tie game!
02:20Japan!
02:21Biggest game!
02:22Elimination game!
02:24They've answered!
02:25The urgency was put to test!
02:27They're alive!
02:28What a moment!
02:29What a moment for Yoshida!
02:30He went back to the changeup!
02:32A little bit fooled, but man, those lefties!
02:34Goes, looks back at Otani.
02:36The pitch is hit to left center field!
02:39Hit very well!
02:40And it is off the wall!
02:43Otani flying around third!
02:45Right behind him!
02:47Scoring the winning run!
02:49It's a walk-off!
02:51Japan!
02:52A country that is going absolutely crazy in Japan!
