00:00uh major league baseball commissioner rob manfred has removed pete rose shoeless joe jackson and

00:07other deceased players who were on the league's permanently ineligible list uh today he did that

00:14manfred ruled that mlb's punishment of banned individuals ends upon their deaths i said this

00:22to you for years uh i'm the only reason why it took because he passed away in what september i

00:28believe is when pete rose passed away uh so it took uh you know five what was it eight months seven

00:34months eight months it took him to do it but i told you that as soon as pete rose passed away

00:39they take him off that list and allow him to then go uh into the hall of fame and that's precisely

00:44uh what's going to happen now for him shoeless joe jackson whoever else was on that list as well

00:49well at some point they're gonna have to it's gonna they gotta jump through hoops now with the

00:54hall but i think that oversight committee will eventually uh you know vote him in uh you know

01:01you can say whatever you want about the guy uh there's no doubt that it was super taboo what he

01:09did uh betting on games and everything uh and at the time it was like you would have thought he was a

01:16an axe murderer they treated him like an axe murderer so anyway the reality is this that guy

01:23i i so i grew up watching him right play and i mean he was on the phillies and reds whatever but he

01:30was on the phillies for a lot of my you know childhood and young adult life right and this guy

01:38was like the he was the greatest player i ever saw right like i've never seen anyone play that hard

01:44or get that many hits like just and you know diving around headfirst and running into ray fossey in the

01:52all-star game i'd never see anything like him like he was just insane and he was like a fire plug too

01:58right wasn't he like a he was a brick house for a little dude he was a brick house when he played he

02:03was ripped out of his mind remember he was big chested his arms were as thick as trees and he um he just

02:11played balls out i mean this guy was all out charlie hustle never seen anything like it uh p rose um

02:20he deserves to be in the hall of fame just from uh his game alone his play alone and the hits record

02:27that alone gets him in there's you know three or four things you can say about him that get him in

02:32mike there's no questions asked of me and i'll tell you the other guy i know they never want to let him

02:37in but i've never seen anyone um ever as good as barry bonds when he was young like when he was young

02:46with the pirates he was he was uh you know both on the base pass in the field and at the plate the best

02:53i'd ever seen without a doubt i never seen anyone hit balls that far i'd never seen anyone swing and

03:00hit fastballs like that and then you know he juiced and he hit even more and he broke all the records

03:05records but that guy would have in my opinion he would have broke the records without juice
