05:10Brothers Combine – Transformers Robots in Disguise
05:14Sibling rivalry looks a little different when it comes to Optimus Prime and his brother.
05:27Ultra Magnus believes he deserves the Matrix of leadership.
05:31When Optimus is overwhelmed by Megatron and his forces, Magnus seemingly arrives to lend his brother a hand.
05:39Unfortunately, his offer is anything but sincere.
05:42The plan spectacularly backfires when their fusion creates Omega Prime, a tremendously powerful new
05:48form that Optimus can control just as much as Magnus.
05:52Suddenly, the feuding brothers have no choice but to cooperate, using their combined strength
05:57to defeat their enemies.
05:59It may not be the kind of reconciliation most would imagine, but most people aren't
06:03gigantic space robots either.

06:14Omega Supreme is the Ark – Transformers Animated
06:18Apparently, the Autobot's ship was hiding one enormous secret.
06:31Throughout the series, the Ark serves as the team's home and means of transportation,
06:36with little reason to suspect there's anything unusual about it.
06:40That changes when Ratchet reveals the vessel's true identity – Omega Supreme,
06:45a colossal Autobot created as a weapon during the Great War.
06:49Ratchet reawakens his old comrade, allowing viewers to finally watch the familiar ship
06:55transform into the gigantic transformer that had been hiding in plain sight.
07:00The reveal also carries particular weight for Ratchet, who had once trained Omega and ultimately
07:05placed him into stasis after he was critically damaged.
07:09Discovering that such a powerful Autobot had been right under everyone's noses all along

07:32Return of Optimus Prime – The Transformers
07:35Optimus Prime's heartbreaking death left a generation of young viewers mourning the franchise's

07:45With backlash this severe, you can't fault Hasbro for taking a U-turn back to the series' roots.
07:50And so, death proves temporary when Optimus is restored.
07:54His timing couldn't be better, as the hate plague is rapidly turning its victims violently against one
08:00another and even claims Rodimus Prime. Optimus ultimately reclaims the matrix of leadership and
08:06releases its accumulated wisdom, curing the plague across the universe.
08:11Apart from providing an appropriately heroic comeback, Optimus' resurrection gave fans something
08:16many desperately wanted after the movie – their beloved Autobot leader back in action.
08:22And no words are more appropriate than Prime's own.
08:29Optimus wields the Star Saber – Transformers Prime
08:33How do you make someone like Optimus even cooler? You hand him an ancient energy sword, of course.
08:40After the Autobots discover an ancient Cybertronian relic, Optimus finds himself wielding the legendary
08:46Star Saber. Yes Megatron, we're speechless too. Optimus immediately demonstrates the weapon's staggering
08:53power, slicing an enormous mass of rock clean in half before unleashing an energy wave that tears into
09:00the Decepticons' warship. Beyond giving us the glorious sight of Optimus swinging around an enormous
09:06sword, the Star Saber represents his connection to the legacy of the Primes. Megatron is so threatened
09:12by it that he soon seeks an appropriately sinister answer of his own – the Dark Star Saber. Honestly,
09:18we're still wondering when Transformers turned into Star Wars.
09:3312. Beast Wars Megatron shoots the original G1 Optimus Prime – Beast Wars Transformers
09:40After discovering the Ark on prehistoric Earth, Beast Wars Megatron finds the original Autobots and
09:46Decepticons still dormant millions of years before their eventual awakening. Knowing that Optimus
09:59Prime will lead the Autobots to victory in the Great War, Megatron decides to rewrite history in
10:05the Predacon's favor. He unleashes a full-powered blast directly into the helpless Prime's head,
10:11immediately triggering a time storm as the Maximals begin disappearing from existence. Not only does
10:17this give us a jaw-dropping cliffhanger, the moment brilliantly connects Beast Wars to the original
10:23series. Suddenly, the outcome of a decades-old conflict is an ancient history to these characters,
10:29it's the very reason they exist. And if all timelines sound wonky to you, all we can say is this
10:35– welcome to
10:36the Transformers.
10:4711. Victory Saber Combine – Transformers Victory
10:51And here we thought you'd at least take someone out for dinner and a movie before thinking about combining.
11:01Star Saber and Victory Leo are formidable enough individually, so combining them feels almost
11:08unfair. The latter's aggressive nature initially makes cooperation difficult, but the Autobots
11:14desperately need both warriors. By combining with Victory Leo, he realizes they can achieve the incredible
11:20flight speed needed to reach the missile satellites before it can strike. The resulting Victory Saber
11:27doesn't disappoint, rapidly reaching orbits, driving away a stunned Deathsaurus, and destroying the
11:33satellite to end his threat. Besides introducing one of the series' most powerful forms, their successful
11:39combination proves that even the volatile Victory Leo can put cooperation ahead of his combative instincts.
11:5210. Cybertron War – Bumblebee Bumblebee wastes absolutely no time throwing us into the action.
12:01With the Decepticons overwhelming the Autobots and Cybertron effectively lost, Optimus Prime orders his
12:08remaining forces to evacuate their homeworld. B-127 is given a particularly important assignment,
12:14travel to Earth, and establish a base where the scattered Autobots can eventually regroup.
12:20Optimus stays behind to buy them enough time to escape, setting both Bumblebee's journey and the
12:25movie itself into motion. As dramatic as the fall of Cybertron is, seeing it unfold is half the fun.
12:35The spectacular opening brings numerous fan-favorite Transformers into live-action, with designs heavily
12:41inspired by their classic G1 appearances. For long-time fans, it was the kind of Cybertronian
12:47battle they'd waited years to see. 9. Optimus is Reborn – Transformers Armada
12:54Optimus Prime's sacrifice to save Earth left an enormous hole in the Autobots, but thankfully,
13:00Armada doesn't keep its hero gone for long.
13:19Hundreds of Minicons gather around his Matrix and combine their power to miraculously restore the
13:25fallen leader. It's an immensely satisfying reversal. Optimus gave everything to protect others,
13:31only for those he inspired to come together and save him in return. His dramatic reappearance also
13:38immediately restores some much-needed hope to an Autobot force struggling without its leader.
13:43Amazingly, even Megatron is delighted to see his greatest rival alive again, proving just how
13:49inseparable the two have become. Optimus may have been gone for only a few episodes, but seeing this
13:58franchise icon triumphantly reborn still feels every bit like a miracle.
14:048. Vector Prime's sacrifice – Transformers Cybertron
14:08With the Autobots stranded in another universe, Vector Prime realizes he can use his powers to reverse
14:14time and reopen their only route home. There's just one catch. Doing so will cost him his life.
14:27Despite Optimus refusing to accept that price, Vector Prime has already made his choice, bidding
14:33heartfelt farewells to his friends before carrying out his final mission. He uses every last ounce of
14:39strength to ensure their ships make it safely through, before peacefully fading away as the
14:44Autobots salute and their human companions mourn him. Vector Prime spent his existence protecting
15:03time, but in the end, he willingly gives up all the time he has left so his friends can have
15:08a future.
15:097. Bumblebee's voice returns – Transformers Prime
15:14After three seasons of electronic beeps, hearing Bumblebee speak is enough to make anyone do a double
15:20take. Megatron damaged the young Autobots' voice box long before the series began, leaving B
15:29unable to communicate normally throughout Prime. Fittingly, it's another encounter with Megatron that
15:35finally changes everything. After apparently being killed and falling into cyber matter,
15:40Bumblebee emerges not only alive but completely healed, voice included.
15:51The reveal would already be enormously satisfying, but B immediately makes it even better by using the
15:58Star Saber to strike down the very Decepticon responsible for silencing him in the first place.
16:03Regaining his voice and defeating Megatron within moments of each other makes this one seriously
16:09cathartic payoff years in the making. 6. Orion Pax becomes Optimus Prime – The Transformers
16:16Even the greatest leaders have to start somewhere. Long before becoming the face of the Autobots,
16:22Optimus Prime was Orion Pax, an ordinary dock worker who was naive enough to actually admire Megatron's power.
16:38That changes brutally when Megatron betrays him and leaves Orion critically wounded during an attack.
16:45Fortunately, Alpha Trion sees something special in the young Transformer and rebuilds him as a
16:50powerful new defender – Optimus Prime. Watching the familiar hero emerge for the first time is
16:56satisfying enough, but his humble beginnings make the reveal even more meaningful. Optimus
17:01wasn't always the wise, courageous leader we know. His devastating encounter with Megatron taught him
17:14first-hand the difference between simply possessing great power and using it responsibly.
17:195. Starscream Sacrifice – Transformers Armada
17:24Starscream and selfless heroism aren't exactly words we're accustomed to putting together. Yet,
17:30Armada's radically different take on the character culminates in one of his finest moments.
17:35I can't believe you still think you can defeat Unicron all by your…
17:38I don't care what you believe. I will destroy Optimus first, and then I'll worry about Unicron.
17:43That's insanity! The only way we can survive is if our two armies join forces, Galvatron!
17:49Recognizing that Unicron threatens Autobots and Decepticons alike, Starscream desperately tries to
17:54convince Galvatron that their two sides must unite. When words fail, he willingly put his own life on the
18:01line to make his leader understand. His sacrifice isn't in vain however, as it ultimately helps
18:07bring the Autobots and Decepticons together against their common enemy. For a character synonymous with
18:23betrayal and self-interest, going out to unite others is one incredible reversal. Just don't
18:29count on every version of Starscream to be this selfless.
18:324. Hot Rod Becomes Rodimus Prime – The Transformers The Movie
18:37Optimus Prime's enormous shoes aren't easy to fill, but Hot Rod ultimately proves himself worthy.
18:44Earlier, the dying Optimus foretells that an Autobot will someday use the matrix of leadership to light
18:50their darkest hour. That prophecy spectacularly pays off inside Unicron, when Hot Rod wrestles the
19:09matrix away from Galvatron and finally unlocks its power. Hearing Optimus command him to arise as Hot
19:16Rod transforms into the stronger and wiser Rodimus Prime makes the passing of the torch official.
19:22Better yet, the newly minted leader immediately lives up to his title, dispatching Galvatron before
19:28using the matrix to destroy the seemingly unstoppable Unicron. Hot Rod begins the movie as an impulsive
19:39young Autobot, but ends it carrying Optimus' legacy and leading his people into a new era.
19:463. Dinobot Sacrifice – Beast Wars Transformers Dinobot proves that a hero isn't defined by his
19:53mistakes, but by what he chooses to do about them.
20:08Haunted by his previous actions towards the Maximals, the former Predacon discovers Megatron's plan to
20:13wipe out the proto-humans and change history forever. With no time to wait for backup, Dinobot takes on the
20:20Predacons alone, suffering fatal damage but successfully saving humanity's ancestors and destroying the
20:27Golden Disk. It's a remarkable final stand for a character who's spent so much time wrestling with
20:33questions of honor and destiny. He even refuses to pretend his heroic death erases his past,
20:39asking his friends to remember both his good and bad deeds.
20:51Dinobot's final choice doesn't rewrite his history. It proves he became better than it.
20:58Optimus' Speech – Transformers There are few things more reassuring than hearing the late,
21:04great Peter Cullen as Optimus Prime deliver an inspirational speech. With the Allspark destroyed
21:14and any hope of restoring Cybertron seemingly gone, Optimus accepts Earth as the Autobot's new home.
21:21More importantly, his experiences with Sam and humanity have given him faith in its people,
21:27leading the Autobots to secretly remain as their protectors. Throw in a perfectly placed,
21:32more than meets the eye reference, and it's difficult not to get chills.
21:48Optimus then sends a message across the stars, inviting surviving Autobots to join them on Earth,
21:54ending the film with a promise that they're here and waiting.
21:58Accompanied by that unforgettable score, the speech helped establish Optimus
22:02for a whole new generation. Cue Linkin Park.
22:06We are here. We are waiting.
