Alexandra Stein, the filmmaker, recounts the moment: "Our street sees a lot of fast-moving traffic, and when we spotted the turtle stranded in the middle, we tried to help it across, but it wouldn't budge. My daughter couldn't bear to leave him, so she fearlessly picked him up. Although he seemed startled and squirmed in her hands, once back on the ground, he dashed straight to the pond, swimming away to safety."
