The Prisons Department is expected to release the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for Datuk Seri Najib Razak's house arrest soon.

Attorney-General Tan Sri Mohd Dusuki Mokhtar said the SOPs will detail aspects of visitations, control and monitoring of the former Prime Minister's movements.

00:11Attorney General Tan Sri Mohammad Dusuki Mokhtar said the SOPs would detail matters,
00:17including visitations, control and monitoring of the former prime minister's movements.
00:22He also reiterated that Najib must pay the 50 million ringgit fine
00:27at the Kuala Lumpur High Court Registrar's Office before the house arrest process can proceed.
00:33On Friday, His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, granted Najib a conditional pardon,
00:41allowing him to serve the remainder of his sentence under house arrest until August 23,
00:472028, subject to him fulfilling all specified conditions.
00:51The decision was made during the 64th meeting of the Federal Territories Pardons Board.
00:58Najib, 73, has been serving his prison sentence at Kajang Prison since August 23, 2022.
