00:00This guy is a fraud. This guy is slippery. This guy is a liar.
00:04And if you don't believe me, ask everyone at Ole Miss,
00:07because he quit on them like a coward last year before the college football playoffs,
00:11because that's who Lane Kiffin is.
00:20I think at the National Anthem, you know, got myself, like, taking it all in
00:25and understanding how cool of my, what I get to do, you know,
00:29my job is the coolest thing in the world.
00:32It's everything that I've ever wanted, to be the quarterback of an NFL franchise.
00:36And I'm just very fortunate that I ended up here in Buffalo
00:39and got to, you know, be the first quarterback to open this stadium,
00:44which is, you know, it's a special spot.
00:45How about that from our guy Josh Allen.
00:48Not only did he embrace the environment he was in last night and soak it all in,
00:52he was dominant.
00:54That was an epic performance from our guy Josh Allen
00:58in the first ever game in the house that Josh Allen built.
01:03That was an ass-kicking, swashbuckling, unbelievable, legendary, sensational,
01:09right out of central casting performance from the best quarterback
01:13in the National Football League.
01:15And we are talking about history.
01:18First game at the new Highmark Stadium.
01:20Third player in NFL history with nine plus total touchdowns.
01:23Zero turnovers in the first two games of the season.
01:28Allen had five total touchdowns.
01:31Three in the air, two on the ground.
01:33He ran for 69 yards.
01:35He threw for 248.
01:37He was as advertised.
01:39And this is who he is.
01:40And this is what he does.
01:42And honestly, he is the best player in the NFL.
01:46And it needs to be framed that way.
01:48He is the best quarterback.
01:50He's the best all-around player.
01:52And you knew that he was going to appreciate everything last night
01:57in terms of the new stadium.
01:59And it looked gorgeous.
02:00And the energy was great.
02:02And the anthems were outstanding last night.
02:05And the energy when Josh took the field for the first time,
02:09ran out of that tunnel.
02:10Bam!
02:11It was like running out of a movie last night.
02:13Absolutely incredible.
02:15And then Josh went out and pitched the perfect game.
02:18And what I loved is James Cook was able to run the football with authority.
02:22And that was a great matchup going in.
02:25And we said that James Cook was going to give you over 100 yards.
02:28And he did.
02:29Said he was going to score a touchdown.
02:31And he did.
02:32Of course, James Cook was great.
02:33Lions can't tackle.
02:35And also, James Cook led the NFL in rushing yards last year.
02:38This is who James Cook is.
02:40This is what he does.
02:41Because Cook was outstanding, as we predicted.
02:44Dalton Kincaid was outstanding, as we predicted.
02:49This is the second straight game where Dalton Kincaid has been off the charts.
02:54And I go back to the interview we did with Josh Allen on my SiriusXM radio show
02:58three weeks ago before the season started.
03:00I said, Adam, do me a favor because I was talking up Dalton Kincaid.
03:03Keep him under the radar.
03:05Because when you have D.J. Moore, and Kincaid is a ridiculous talent, now he's healthy,
03:10we're talking about Kincaid being free, Kincaid being a factor.
03:15And this was absolutely terrific.
03:16Joshua Palmer was able to catch another touchdown.
03:20Keon Coleman, much maligned.
03:23He was outstanding last night.
03:25He was fantastic.
03:26He had six catches.
03:28He was great on third down.
03:29It was great to see that for Keon, who has been much maligned, his own fault.
03:34He's been suspended.
03:35He's been immature.
03:35He's been a bit of a boss for a couple years in the league.
03:38He was great last night.
03:41This was right out of central casting.
03:43Honestly, I could not get enough of what we saw from the Buffalo Bills last night.
03:48You're looking for more evidence, right, that this team is different.
03:51This team is going to win a championship.
03:54Joe Brady had it going on.
03:55We were excited that he was able to handle success and prosperity.
03:59You know who would have lost that game?
04:01Sean McDermott.
04:02In the past, what could go wrong would go wrong.
04:05They couldn't handle success.
04:06The signs are there.
04:08The Bills are 2-0.
04:09They're going to end up winning the AFC East.
04:11They're going to get home field advantage with the best record in the AFC.
04:14Have the AFC go through lovely Western New York through the gorgeous house that Josh Allen built.
04:20And then they're going to get to the Super Bowl.
04:22And it's all there.
04:23Everything is coming up.
04:24All of our bases, including our parlay from last night.
04:28Are you kidding me?
04:30I got all of your tweets.
04:33It was absolutely incredible.
04:35I mean, look at this.
04:37Plus 625.
04:38You're welcome, America and Canada.
04:42It was a great night for the Bills.
04:43It was a great night for Shine Time.
04:45It was a great night all the way around.
04:48Unless, of course, you're Dan Campbell.
04:52Now we know after two games, we kind of know who we are.
04:55We're figuring some stuff out.
04:56And we've got about three days here to kind of figure that out before we start getting ready for the
05:00Jets as a staff as well.
05:02So now we can really digest, all right, here's our two-game snapshot.
05:07This is what you are.
05:08This says what you are.
05:09And we can really deep dive these players and what they do best, what they don't do or need help
05:18in.
05:18And we'll move on from that.
05:20I mean, after every Lions loss, it's the same nonsense from Dan Campbell.
05:24And, you know, no one's talking about biting kneecaps anymore.
05:27And I give Dan Campbell credit for turning the Lions around.
05:30They were obviously a morbid franchise, completely defunct.
05:35And Campbell gave them life and an attitude.
05:38The problem is, though, Dan Campbell can't coach his way out of a paper bag.
05:41And Dan Campbell is a terrible in-game coach.
05:44And you knew his defense was going to get torched.
05:47And the defense doesn't have the requisite dudes.
05:49They lost a monster brain drain when Aaron Glenn left as a defensive coordinator.
05:54They lost the brain drain when Ben Johnson left as the offensive coordinator.
05:58And, frankly, they never replaced him.
06:00I felt bad for Jared Goff, who had a really good game last night.
06:03I thought he was great, built for the moment.
06:05He has no help on the offensive line.
06:07The defense just got destroyed.
06:09Second straight week that we have seen the Lions, at the end of the day, give up 30 or more
06:14points.
06:15That was an absolute mess.
06:17This defense is bad.
06:18This is not a fluke.
06:20And, honestly, if you're a Jets fan, when you look at the schedule, you say,
06:24Hey, I want a piece of the Lions coming up next week.
06:28Because this, I mean, if you're a Lions fan or a defensive enthusiast, hide your eyes.
06:34I mean, this will give you the shakes.
06:36No D in Detroit, absolutely.
06:37These are nuggets of futility on the screen right here.
06:40So, obviously, the big story from last night, Buffalo, why Buffalo is going to ultimately win a championship,
06:47why Buffalo can handle success and prosperity, but that one even worse than you could have ever imagined.
06:54The Detroit Lions are not a playoff team.
06:57We said as much before the season.
06:59The Lions schedule is tissue paper soft.
07:02This team does not have the requisite talent on defense, does not have the right head coach.
07:06The Detroit Lions, despite their tissue paper soft schedule, will not make the playoffs this year.
07:12Mike McDaniel was brought to L.A. to take Justin Herbert and the Chargers offense to the next level.
07:17Based on what we saw in their week one loss to the Cardinals, there are doubts.
07:22What did Mike McDaniel think?
07:24It was a case of humble pie.
07:31It didn't feel good to anyone.
07:32Starting with me, you know, I wasn't happy with the offense and the way the product we put on the
07:39field.
07:40So, no time sulking, no time pouting.
07:46We got to direct action early on Monday.
07:51And what's been encouraging is the guys that I had hoped I was signing up to work with,
07:59all the players and coaches, have understood the moment and risen to the occasion.
08:07You know, it's about what you do about things.
08:13And what the Chargers need to do about things, win.
08:16And honestly, winning, frankly, is not enough.
08:19The Chargers need to look great against the Raiders.
08:23And look, they are officially going to be at home, but they are going to be on the road
08:29when you consider all the Raiders fans who are in Los Angeles.
08:33And Justin Herbert, historically, always plays brilliantly against the Raiders.
08:38This is inspiring if you are a Charger fan.
08:42Justin Herbert was awful last week.
08:44Nothing good about the performance.
08:46The offense was stuck in the mud.
08:48Herbert's fourth quarter was terrible.
08:50I mean, this was as bad as it gets, not to mention Ladd McConkie is now banged up.
08:54There is no excuse when you start talking about Justin Herbert for this week.
08:59And understand, the Raiders came to play last week, no question about it.
09:04It doesn't matter.
09:06The Chargers have to be able to take care of business.
09:11Justin Herbert needs to light up the Vegas Raiders.
09:16It's as simple as that.
09:17The Chargers, their preseason expectations, as bad as week one was.
09:24They got a lot of people eliminated from survivor pools.
09:26We said they should fold the franchise and take the team facility and just go right into
09:31the Pacific Ocean.
09:32No excuse against the Raiders.
09:35None.
09:35And the Raiders played well.
09:37Hey, Jim Harbaugh needs to make sure he gets his team focused.
09:41I don't have time for the Jim Harbaugh, Justin Herbert's the best ever, or who's got it better
09:46than us.
09:47Here's what I want to see.
09:48A win.
09:49And even more than a win.
09:51Can you look great?
09:52Seriously.
09:53We're not going to lower the standards here.
09:55And Herbert struggles.
09:56And the Chargers beat the Raiders 17-16.
09:59And it's all happy, happy, joy, joy.
10:01And blue skies and rainbows for the Chargers, if that's the case.
10:05No.
10:05You want to get a win.
10:06You want to get your shorts on straight.
10:08But you want to look great.
10:09You're playing the Raiders.
10:12The Raiders.
10:13Let's be clear about that.
10:15Now, flip side, I have so much respect for Clint Kubiak.
10:19I think the most underrated story of the entire NFL from week number one, what the Raiders
10:25did.
10:26The fact that they absolutely bludgeoned the Dolphins.
10:29Before anyone says, well, it was just the Dolphins, I thought the Dolphins were going to
10:33win.
10:33And everyone knows I love the Kubiak hire.
10:36I thought that was akin to Ben Johnson with the Bears from the year before.
10:39Love Ashton Gentry.
10:41I didn't pick up to win because Kirk Cousins has been terrible at football and Gentry got
10:45hurt in August and Brock Bowers was out.
10:48And the way the Raiders won that game was inspiring.
10:53And the way Ashton Gentry ran the football was inspiring.
10:58It was absolutely incredible.
11:01Now, Kirk Cousins, I was dead wrong on him for last week.
11:06Absolutely spot on how bad he was in the last couple of years.
11:09You can make the case.
11:10He had the single worst quarterback, starting quarterback in the NFL the last two seasons.
11:14The Chargers have no excuse.
11:16I want to take a look at the Chargers schedule.
11:18The Raiders and the Cardinals should have been banked wins.
11:23They never even had the lead against the lowly Arizona Cardinals.
11:27Now, you take a look at that Chargers schedule.
11:30I want you to feast your eyes on this.
11:32Buffalo, Seattle, Denver, Kansas City by Rams, Houston Texans, the Baltimore Ravens.
11:42I want you to really just hone in on the opponents for the Chargers weeks three through ten.
11:50I don't think it's exaggeration to say the season is on the brink for Los Angeles.
11:57These were supposed to be two automatic dubs before you get into a who's who of great teams
12:04coming up between week three and week ten.
12:07No excuse.
12:08Win the damn game.
12:10Look great in the process.
12:12That's how we're going to judge the Chargers coming up on Sunday.
12:16Another AFC West team that looked bad in week one, the Denver Broncos.
12:20But was it as bad as it seemed on Monday night?
12:23Let's ask Bo next.
12:25Learned a long time ago you never play as bad as you think.
12:27You never play as good as you think.
12:28So, for us, it was the case of we didn't play as bad as what we thought.
12:32You know, we're not going to press the panic button.
12:34And, you know, we're not freaking out.
12:36We're not starting from scratch or anything.
12:38We feel like we're still in a good spot.
12:40And we just didn't play great by any means.
12:42And we've got to play better.
12:44Let me give devil's advocate here.
12:46I thought that Bo Nix was actually as bad as it seemed.
12:50And this is as bad as it gets in terms of the next game on a short week.
12:55The Jacksonville Jaguars, sensational.
12:59Their last nine regular season games.
13:01And in that winning streak and how they have just been phenomenal and Trevor Lawrence has been great and the
13:07defense has been outstanding.
13:09And we start talking about point differential in a nine-game span.
13:12It's genuinely historic.
13:16I mean, you have to remember the Broncos had an 11-game winning streak that was snapped by the Jaguars
13:21in Week 16 last year in their building where they gave up 34 points.
13:28Absolutely incredible.
13:29Beyond incredible when you take a look at it.
13:31So, I think that Bo Nix needs to play better.
13:35Captain Obvious.
13:37I also think that Davis Webb needs to call better plays.
13:42I think that Sean Payton should probably just take the play calling back.
13:45He's the best play caller on the staff.
13:47I think at the end of the day that Bo Nix will get better as the season moves along.
13:51And he's further and further away from the injury.
13:55I don't think there's any question about that.
13:57I do think the Denver defense is probably humbled, embarrassed from all the stiff arms and the missed tackles and
14:05everything that transpired with Kenneth Walker on Monday night.
14:09But beating the Jacksonville Jaguars and Trevor Lawrence and Liam Cohen is not going to be easy.
14:16Trevor Lawrence is great.
14:17Trevor Lawrence, the light went on in the middle of last year.
14:21The Trevor Lawrence, Liam Cohen combination.
14:24This is a fabulous head coach, play caller, and quarterback combo when you look at it.
14:31And, you know, in theory, you want to believe Denver is going to have the ability to bounce back.
14:37I think Jacksonville enters with a ton of confidence.
14:40I think Jacksonville enters as the better team.
14:42And I think that calling this a Jacksonville Jaguars victory and the Broncos starting the season 0-2 is the
14:52smart play.
14:53Coming up next, you see it right there, the great Katie Mox is going to join me for the latest
14:58edition of Shine's Lines.
14:59All your best bets for the football weekend with me and Katie next on Shine Time.
15:07Ah, yes, it's time for Shine's Lines.
15:10Last week, 9 and 7.
15:13Last night, a victory.
15:15We're going to keep it rolling for week number two.
15:18My guest this week, the one and only Katie Mox, who's nice enough to be with us here on Shine
15:24Time.
15:24Katie, how are you?
15:26I'm good, Sean.
15:27First of all, I'm so happy to be on with you.
15:29I miss spending Sundays with you.
15:31So I'm excited to do this with you.
15:33I was in Tokyo last week, so I missed a lot of the week one games because it's a good
15:3916 hours ahead.
15:40But I'm excited to be back and just get into football.
15:43Katie is the best when it comes to picking games.
15:46And she studies it and she's all over it.
15:48And I'm going to need some more information about that Tokyo trip at a different time.
15:53That sounds absolutely incredible.
15:54But let's get into some of these games here.
15:57And we've got the Washington Commanders at the Dallas Cowboys.
16:01Dallas is favored by four and a half.
16:03Who do you got?
16:05I'm taking the Commanders on this one.
16:06It's interesting because Dallas opened up as a smaller favorite before week one.
16:11And we've seen this creep this way.
16:12Four and a half with Washington to me, Shine, I'm just going to grab these points.
16:16I feel like Washington held its own against the Eagles in week one, which was impressive to me.
16:21It's one of the NFL's better defenses.
16:23I know they're banged up and they're down some guys here.
16:25But for all the talk about how improved the Dallas defense was going to be,
16:29they really let me down there in week one against the Giants.
16:32They got pushed around up front.
16:34The secondary gave up way too many plays.
16:37And what was more surprising to me, Shine, is this Dallas offense looked really flat.
16:41They weren't able to put together a ton of scoring drives.
16:43I'm just not convinced that they're going to be able to create the separation
16:47to cover more than a field goal here.
16:48So I'll go ahead and grab those points with Jaden Daniels plus the four and a half.
16:53I love the Cowboys laying the four and a half.
16:56I think Dallas is still going to be great.
16:59I thought week one was more about the Giants than Dallas.
17:02I still love Dak.
17:04I think Lamb has the chops for the big moments.
17:06I still am taking the cheese on that defense.
17:09I know how bad they looked against New York.
17:11They looked horrible.
17:12Awful in every possible way.
17:14I still think that Christian Parker can coach and Quinn Williams could play on the defensive line.
17:18And Caleb Downs, my pick for the defensive rookie of the year.
17:21I feel like I need to resettle the takes because none of them hit last week, to your brilliant point.
17:26But it's a week-to-week league.
17:28That offensive line, awful for Washington.
17:31I don't like that defense.
17:32Jaden Daniels is special.
17:33That makes me nervous.
17:35But I think the Cowboys are going to destroy the Washington Commanders coming up on Sunday.
17:41How about the Jets and the Packers, Katie?
17:44I want to get your take on this one.
17:45So here's where I'll agree with what you just said.
17:49I think there's a little bit of overreaction baked into this line.
17:53I'm going to lay the four and a half with the Packers here.
17:55Go ahead and back the pack.
17:57Geno Smith looked nearly perfect in week one.
18:01I'm just not betting that we're going to be able to see that again.
18:04We've seen flashes of him, certainly, in Seattle.
18:06But the Titans made everything extremely easy on him.
18:09Green Bay's pass rush, I was actually pretty impressed or rather encouraged by, you should say,
18:1415 pressures in week one, even without Micah Parsons.
18:17I think they're going to be able to disrupt Geno and make him uncomfortable,
18:20which is unfortunately something that the Titans were not able to do.
18:23And, yes, I know, Green Bay got absolutely worked, right?
18:2539-22.
18:26They blew a double-digit lead.
18:28I believe it was a 22-0 in the fourth quarter for them.
18:32But you've got to give credit to Brian Flores on this one.
18:34And Minnesota blitzed 75% of the time, and the Packers' interior O-line just could not handle that well.
18:40I think that LaFleur has some history with Glenn.
18:43He knows how to handle that a little bit better.
18:45I just think the public is going to be all over the Jets on this one.
18:49So I'm willing, or I'm more willing, rather, to back the pack after a bad week one
18:53than I am to think that the Jets are going to keep this going.
18:56So I'm going to lay the four and a half.
18:57Yeah, and when you say public, obviously you're talking about me.
19:00And, listen, this is one, Katie.
19:03You've got to trust me on this.
19:04I know we've known each other forever.
19:05First of all, you know I never picked Jordan Love.
19:07That's number one.
19:08Number two, I said when the schedule came out, I felt like the Jets would start the season 2-0.
19:15And I said the Packers would start the season 0-2.
19:19So this is not an overreaction here.
19:21Look, I'm not going to sit here and tell you the Jets are making the playoffs.
19:24But, you know, Smith is solid.
19:27It's going to rain in New York on Sunday.
19:30They can run the ball with a couple of good running backs with a strong offensive line.
19:34I don't think Green Bay is a good team at all.
19:37No Josh Jacobs in this game.
19:38No Micah Parsons in this game.
19:40I'm not crowning the Jets.
19:42But I think that Aaron Glenn's team can absolutely not only come within the number.
19:48I'm taking them on the money line.
19:50Jets win this game, Candy.
19:52What do you think of that?
19:54I think you're crazy.
19:56I think you're – you know what I will say.
19:58I have so many friends who are Jets fans, you know, long-suffering Jets fans.
20:02And hearing them talk after week one, the people, they're like, oh, well, they're going to win the Super Bowl
20:05now.
20:05And I know Geno Smith is exciting, but consistency is not always his friend.
20:10And I hear you.
20:11I know that Jordan Love has not been your favorite.
20:13He certainly has to clean up on those turnovers.
20:15But I believe more in the Pack than I do in Gangrene.
20:18All right, let's get into the Pittsburgh Steelers and the New England Patriots.
20:22They've got New England at home.
20:23They are favored, Katie, by four and a half points.
20:25They are.
20:26I feel like such a chump here because I feel like I'm taking all favorites.
20:28But I am also going to lay the four and a half with the Patriots.
20:31I like them to bounce back at home after that week one loss to Seattle.
20:36Pittsburgh's offense was just dreadful in week one.
20:39Illegolo in total yards.
20:40The worst success rate in the NFL.
20:43Just 4.1 yards per play, Shine.
20:45Okay?
20:45It's pretty nasty.
20:47When I look at New England, I think that their defense is good enough.
20:50They'll be able to collapse the pocket here.
20:51Put some pressure on Aaron Rodgers.
20:54Force him into those long drives.
20:55Which, let's face it, Aaron Rodgers is not the quarterback that he used to be.
20:58He doesn't want to be put in those situations.
21:01And because the Patriots had a Wednesday game, they've had enough time now to adjust with life without A.J.
21:07Brown, which, of course, is a huge bummer here.
21:09I do think that New England's defense controls this game.
21:12The offense does just enough.
21:13I'm just not bought into the Steelers here.
21:15So, I'm going to back the Patriots minus the four and a half.
21:17I'm going to take the Pittsburgh Steelers, and I'm not even just grabbing the points.
21:22I'm going to take them on the money line.
21:24I'm going to take Pittsburgh to win the game.
21:25They won in New England last year.
21:27That was a Super Bowl team that went ultimately representing the AFC to the big game in San Francisco.
21:34I think the Steelers are going to be great.
21:36I'm just staying very consistent from preseason takes.
21:40I like the defense.
21:41I love T.J. Wadd.
21:43I thought Patrick Graham was a great hire.
21:45They had a really good offseason.
21:46It was calculated in terms of defensive guys they brought into the mix.
21:50I think you nailed it on the offense.
21:53You're going to be fine.
21:54I really think that Aaron Rodgers is going to be better.
21:57Mike McCarthy, Aaron Rodgers, winning ticket, winning combination.
22:01I think Rico Dowdo could have a big game.
22:03Also, no A.J. Brown.
22:05That's a big deal in this one.
22:08You got Drake May.
22:09Last five times he's played football, including the playoffs, four games last year in week one.
22:14Five games, 11 turnovers.
22:16That is a recipe for disaster.
22:18I don't love the Patriots offensive line.
22:21Katie, I'm taking the Pittsburgh Steelers to win this game.
22:24I'm with you.
22:25But if you look at the last four games that they've played against, I mean, those have been some of
22:29the best defenses in the NFL.
22:30And I'm not saying that the Steelers aren't.
22:32But consistency with that defense has been a bit of a problem.
22:35So I'm still staying with the Patriots on this one.
22:37You make a good point.
22:38They're not the Chargers or the Texans.
22:40They're not the Broncos or Seattle twice.
22:42But I still think this is an improved defense.
22:44But I agree with you on that point there.
22:47Let's get to the Eagles and the Titans.
22:49And we have the Philadelphia Eagles who are favored by seven points in Nashville.
22:53I mean, I don't think anybody wants to take the Titans in any shape or form here, right?
22:58So I'm going to lay the seven with the Eagles.
23:00But this is less about backing Philadelphia, more about just fading Tennessee.
23:04The Titans had just 55 first half yards against the Jets.
23:10Only seven first downs before that final touchdown drive.
23:14Just disgusting.
23:15And now they've got to deal with Jalen Hurts and with Saquon Barkley.
23:18It's a really bad matchup, Shine, for Tennessee here.
23:21They allowed a league high of 12 broken tackles in week one.
23:25And then if we just look at some trends here, Philadelphia has covered 10 of its last 12 games on
23:30the road following a win.
23:32Tennessee should be very little.
23:33I think it's going to be a long game for them.
23:34I think it's going to be a long season for them, which is hard for me because, you know, I
23:37love me some Robert Sala.
23:38But I'll lay the seven with the Eagles.
23:40Listen, I am a big believer in Philadelphia in this specific game.
23:44And you nailed it.
23:45It's not even that you're backing Philly.
23:48It's that we're anti-Tennessee.
23:51They looked inept.
23:52The Jets shoved them around.
23:54I couldn't wait to lay the seven here with Philadelphia.
23:58And listen, I'm fired up because you're a big Niner fan.
24:01And that's why you mentioned Robert Sala.
24:03So this line, crazy.
24:06But I can't wait to get your analysis on this with the 49ers at home.
24:13And they are a 12 and a half point favorite going up against the Miami Dolphins.
24:18First of all, let's put some respect on the 49ers.
24:21And you have always given the 49ers respect, which I respect out of you, Shine.
24:25But everybody going into week one, the paper champions, everybody thought the Rams were going to come have their way.
24:31And yes, maybe some of that is a little bit of the jet lag.
24:33I don't think a lot of people at this point agree with how the Rams went about that.
24:37But this 49ers team is a force to be reckoned with, okay?
24:41Nobody wants to lay 12 and a half points.
24:43I'll go ahead and say that.
24:43Even as a 49ers fan, I'm not running to the ticket window to lay 12 and a half.
24:47I hate this spread.
24:49However, after what we saw in week one, this could be an absolute bloodbath.
24:53Maybe 12 and a half isn't even enough points here, Shine.
24:56You got Malik Willis.
24:57He was sacked five times, 17 pressures against the Raiders.
25:00Now he's got to go against Nick Bosa and that 49ers front, not going to be too good for him.
25:05On the other side, Miami generated zero sacks, very little pressure.
25:09You got Brock Purdy and all of his weapons.
25:11How fun was it to watch Mike Evans as a 49ers?
25:14Deebo Samuel back in it.
25:16Like, this is just going to be horrible for Miami and their fans.
25:21So I'm going to lay this 12 and a half.
25:22I don't love laying numbers that big, but this could be a 16-point game.
25:27Yeah, we're on the exact same page.
25:28And we're going to lay the points here with San Francisco.
25:32And, you know, in theory, it's a big number.
25:34In theory, you say, okay, well, sports science worked for San Francisco.
25:38Going to Australia, they're a week out.
25:41Maybe, you know, you're fatigued coming back.
25:43It doesn't matter.
25:44It's Miami.
25:45Miami stinks.
25:46San Francisco has a ton of dudes.
25:48Dolphins are breaking it down to build it back up.
25:50They want Arch Manning.
25:51So I am with you here.
25:53We are going to ultimately lay the points.
25:55By the way, how good do you think your Niners are going to be this year?
25:59Well, I think they're going to be great.
26:00I mean, you look at the Rams, and I think people crowned them way too early here.
26:04Unfortunately, you got Miles Garrett, who's going to be out for a certain amount of time.
26:07He's having surgery.
26:08You got Aaron Donald that came back, which I kind of think he's maybe questioning coming
26:11back at this point.
26:12He's not necessarily revved up to go.
26:14I think people crowned them a little bit too early.
26:16Seattle, obviously still very good.
26:18There's some cracks there.
26:19I was actually pleasantly surprised to see how the Arizona Cardinals did in week one,
26:23because I think a lot of people wrote them off.
26:25But look, the 49ers, they make the playoffs at least every single year.
26:30But can I see them going all the way?
26:31Yes, if they stay healthy, which, as you know, doesn't always happen.
26:35All right.
26:35I want you to take a look at the rest of my picks for week number two in the National
26:39Football
26:39League.
26:40I want to get your evaluation.
26:41Yes, I'm picking the Falcons.
26:44That is a real thing.
26:45Cooper Rush, Color Rush.
26:46I think Bijan could have a day.
26:49I'm going to grab the points with New Orleans.
26:51I think Chicago wins.
26:53I have so much respect for Brian Flores.
26:55I think that Justin Jefferson finds the end zone again.
26:57I'll grab the points with Minnesota.
26:59I like Houston.
27:00We reference, obviously, Pittsburgh.
27:02We reference the Jets.
27:03I think Tampa Bay takes care of business.
27:05We know all about Philadelphia.
27:07Philadelphia, love the Dallas Cowboys to take care of business.
27:10We reference that.
27:11You know, you look at all the picks here for what stands out for the rest of my picks
27:15for week two.
27:17Well, I like you taking the points with Atlanta here.
27:21I mean, Carolina obviously just gave up 59 points to Chicago.
27:23So you got to think that that's going to be something good here.
27:26I like New Orleans as well.
27:28Tyler Shuck is just so fun to watch.
27:31He's also 8-2 against the spread in his career as a starting quarterback.
27:33So I love that.
27:35You know, Minnesota's offensive line, I felt like, struggled a little bit to protect and
27:40establish the run in week one.
27:41That one kind of worries me a little bit.
27:43And I don't know about the Chargers.
27:45I know everyone's excited about Madison Beer, which I'm not saying you are.
27:48That's not you.
27:49But the offense, it's a little bit scary to me, especially with Mike McDaniel finally
27:54there.
27:54You thought that that was going to look a little bit better than it did.
27:57But I like the Seattle as well.
27:59I was pleasantly surprised by the Cardinals, but I don't expect them to win against Seattle.
28:03So, Katie, you're the best.
28:05We appreciate the time as always.
28:07Always great seeing you.
28:08I miss seeing you every single Sunday.
28:10And we'll do this again real soon.
28:11And you can follow Katie on X at Katie Mox and on Instagram at Katie Mox underscore TV.
28:17Katie, we appreciate it.
28:18Thanks.
28:19Good to see you.
28:21Here's this week's Shine Post Parlay.
28:23Every week, I'm going to give you a parlay based strictly on the New York Post and the
28:27California Post teams.
28:28We're talking Jets and Giants and Rams and Chargers and Niners.
28:33Here's what I've got for this week.
28:35We're going to go with the Chargers on the money line to beat the Raiders.
28:40Rams on the money line to beat the Giants.
28:43The Jets on the money line to beat the Green Bay Packers.
28:48And we'll lay the 12 and a half with San Francisco to take care of business against Miami.
28:54Put $20 on that, and next thing you know, $173 in your pocket.
29:01You're welcome, New York and California.
29:05I couldn't end Shine's Lines without my pick on the biggest college game of the week.
29:09Lane Kiffin and LSU heading to Ole Miss.
29:12Now, we've talked about it all week, and we're taping on a Friday, and LSU is favored by three.
29:17And, hey, what do you know?
29:20All of a sudden, Sam Levitt goes from doubtful to questionable.
29:27Thank goodness for the power of healing, as if anyone could have seen this coming.
29:33I mean, Sam Levitt's strong.
29:35Are you kidding me?
29:36What a miracle.
29:37This is the whole point of the premise.
29:39I mean, this is a joke.
29:42When he was listed as doubtful out of nowhere the other day, we said it on Shine Time, nobody believed
29:48it.
29:48Because this guy is a fraud.
29:50This guy is slippery.
29:52This guy is a liar.
29:53And if you don't believe me, ask everyone at Ole Miss.
29:56Because he quit on them like a coward last year before the college football playoffs.
30:00Because that's who Lane Kiffin is.
30:02Go back to yesterday.
30:03And we talked about our friend Pete Thamel from ESPN and his post on X when everyone at Ole Miss
30:09didn't believe anything in terms of Levitt being on the injury report.
30:13So, it's a joke.
30:14He goes from not being injured to being doubtful to being questionable.
30:18I mean, this is Lane Kiffin.
30:23This is also part of the pick and the deal here.
30:26Lane Kiffin can get away with this because he's excellent at what he does.
30:30Lane Kiffin is a sensational coach.
30:33He just is.
30:34That's why he took Ole Miss to New Heights.
30:37That's why they were pissed when he left.
30:39That's why LSU is happy to have him.
30:41Now, we ripped Lane Kiffin earlier this week when he said all the pressure's on Ole Miss.
30:46That's not true.
30:47Now, obviously, you know I love Chambliss.
30:49I think he could be the best quarterback in college football.
30:52Forget about pro prospects.
30:53We're talking about in college football for this season.
30:56And I know everyone and their mother is going to want to destroy Lane Kiffin.
31:01Everyone in Ole Miss is going to bring the heat and the hate and the fire.
31:07This is when Lane Kiffin is at his best.
31:10He's a better coach than Pete Goldman.
31:12He just is.
31:13And as much as I love Chambliss and company, I am going to take LSU to win this game.
31:19I think LSU wins.
31:21I think LSU covers.
31:23And I think, sadly, for Ole Miss, because they know it better than anyone, Lane Kiffin can flat-out coach.
31:29But wait, there's more.
31:35It's a ton of fun.
31:36The group here is great.
31:37It's a ton of fun to celebrate, you know, these moments with these guys.
31:41It's going to be special.
31:42It's going to be the first of many.
31:43Man, that's what it's all about right there.
31:46Tariq Skubal in the middle of the Dodgers celebrating their NOS division crown with champagne showers in Cincinnati.
31:53That was awesome.
31:54And look, you know my take when it comes to celebrating.
31:58Any milestone making the playoffs, no matter the expectations, you always celebrate.
32:03You always validate.
32:05First of all, it's a grind.
32:06You go to spring training early.
32:08It's February.
32:09You're there before Valentine's Day.
32:11It's a marathon, 162 games.
32:14You always, at a t-shirt and hat game, you pop the champagne.
32:18You celebrate.
32:19You validate.
32:20You soak it in.
32:21This is great stuff.
32:23I don't want to hear the season's a failure if they don't win the World Series, and that's why you
32:28shouldn't celebrate.
32:28By the way, the season will be a failure, obviously, if the Dodgers don't win the whole thing.
32:33But for the players, for the organization, for the fans, you always take a milestone like this.
32:40And you have to stamp it.
32:42I love how the Dodgers partied yesterday in Cincinnati.
32:45That made me happy.
32:47It's still a child's game.
32:49It's what you dream of as a kid.
32:51That was awesome.
32:52Also, that's why of all the soundbites we could have picked, we picked Scooble.
32:57Because that's the first time he has been in that Dodgers clubhouse.
33:01That matters to me.
33:03That matters to the Dodgers.
33:05There's always going to be a newbie, someone who needs to understand.
33:09And he's made the playoffs in Detroit.
33:12That's amateur hour.
33:13This is real baseball, with a real baseball team, in a real baseball city, with real expectations.
33:20That kind of gets the blood pumping if you're Tariq Scooble.
33:24Okay, this is a different level.
33:26This is what it's all about.
33:27Still going to be championship or bust for L.A.
33:30That's the deal.
33:31That's the mentality.
33:32That's what the payroll says.
33:33That's what the talent says.
33:34And I still think the Dodgers are winning the World Series.
33:38But that scene last night was awesome.
33:43If you're a Dodgers fan, I know you've just won back-to-back World Series.
33:47I know forever you win the National League West.
33:50Take a second and celebrate this.
33:53Appreciate this.
33:54That was awesome stuff.
33:56It's a journey, man.
33:57And now, go kick ass and take names in the postseason.
