00:14Raptor 3 engines. The launch went impressively smoothly for a long time. But then, the so-called
00:21Boost Backburn on the booster, the huge first stage number 19 failed. That's the braking
00:26maneuver that makes the stage turn around and fly back to the launch site. The engines didn't
00:31reignite cleanly. The booster crashed uncontrollably into the Gulf about 300 kilometers farther out
00:39than planned. The American Aviation Authority, the FAA, that is the Federal Aviation Administration,
00:45officially classified Flight 12 as a mishap, as an incident requiring investigation. This
00:51investigation mainly focuses on the new Raptor 3 engines. For context, it's important to note
00:57no one was injured, and there was no damage to public property. The booster eventually landed
01:02in the middle of the ocean. And after such an error, SpaceX always conducts a full investigation anyway.
