00:09Today we are going to discuss a topic which is not just a historical topic but a very interesting spiritual topic.
00:16And it's a wonderful journey
00:17We will talk about the deep spiritual legacy of a great Sufi poet, Khauja Ghulam Farid, and along with it, the 120
00:24He made a long and amazing educational effort whose aim was to preserve his original words in the same way.
00:30had to do as he was paid
00:47It is a matter of fact that this one sentence itself tells us how much Khauja Farid is for our piety and manners.
00:52There are big and important pillars, so in this article we will include four important pillars, first Rumi of Saraiki language, second
01:00The fruits of his Sufi thoughts and Hama Awast
01:16Let us see how this amazing personality belonging to Chachra Sharif is known as the Rumi of his area.
01:21Why is it called
01:22Khwaja Khudabaksh alias Mehboob Ilahi was born in 1845 in Chachra Sharif, a region of the princely state of Bahawalpur.
01:30Now the most surprising thing is that in 1882, that is, during his lifetime itself, his poetry was incomplete.
01:38The crowds of people had started appearing on the scene.
01:40This is not an ordinary thing, he had become so popular during his lifetime that in 1901 when
01:47When he passed away, he left behind an incomparable and very large legacy.
01:52And just look at the digest of his poetry, two hundred and fifty Saraiki Kafis, 43 Sindhi Kafis, 97 Urdu Ghazals and
02:01This art and mastery of language in three Hindi poems is absolutely astonishing.
02:06And to be honest, it was this vast and diverse body of writing that paved the way for the later writers.
02:14A huge mountain-like challenge was posed for
02:17Now let us come to the second issue, Sufiana Afkar and Hama Ost. Here we will see that all this poetry is his.
02:25How it connects to the underlying philosophy
02:27So here the most important point to understand is Wahdat Al-Wujud which is also called Hama Ost.
02:34This Sufi philosophy actually teaches that all creation is basically one and everything is a product of that.
02:40There is a divine gift
02:42Khoja Farid considered Sheikh Mohyeddin Aban Arabi as his spiritual teacher and he followed the philosophy of Hama Ost.
02:49Gave the message of love, justice and humanity through Aafaki
02:52Take just this one line of his Saraiki poetry.
02:56Understand and listen, know whether the other person knows or not
02:58Meaning, recognize the truth and do not consider anyone a stranger.
03:02This small line beautifully encapsulates his entire philosophy.
03:08That you should abandon superficial differences and seek the same light in everything.
03:12And see, these were not just bookish or imaginary things.
03:16His poetry served as a strong bridge between the material and spiritual worlds.
03:21What kind of awakening was this that brought the people of the community together and taught them love?
03:27That is why he is considered a perfect and exemplary human being.
03:31From here the story changes a bit.
03:33The third part is Kalam's journey.
03:36Now, let us move from the romanticism of Kalam to this tremendous educational mission spanning more than a century.
03:43The purpose of which was to preserve his poetry.
03:46Think about the journey of one hundred and twenty years.
03:49The discussion began with these incomplete drafts of 1882.
03:53Then in 1902 the first complete Diwan Chapa
03:56In 1944, the famous edition of the princely state of Bahawalpur came out.
04:00And then the matter reached the new Tanqidi editions of 1998 and 2014.
04:06This journey shows how this Kalam has been misinterpreted.
04:09Tested on extremely strict investigative standards
04:12In this entire journey, the year 1944 was significant for the literature of Sarai.
04:16It was a huge game changer
04:17This year the Nawab of the princely state of Bahawalpur took a drastic step.
04:21and Maulana Aziz and Rehman under princely patronage
04:24The task of preparing the Diwan of Khwaja Farid was assigned to him.
04:27Just look at the scale of this 1944 project
04:30This was no small task
04:32The first Diwan was composed
04:34Then a proper dictionary was included with it.
04:37And above all, its Urdu translation and translation was done.
04:41These three steps gave birth to Saraiki poetry.
04:43By removing them from the local circles of Rohi and Cholistan
04:46Urdu donations were made available to the wider community.
04:49But here a big problem arises.
04:52If the 1944 work was as remarkable and historic
04:55Then for the next seventy years
04:57What did our Mahreen keep doing right in this?
05:00What was the issue left?
05:02And we get the answer to this question.
05:04In the fourth and final part
05:06Historical prescriptions and modern research
05:09This part is dedicated to those experts in writing.
05:12who undertook the task of correcting old wrongs
05:14It was like a big rescue mission for the tongue.
05:18These are the new days who carried forward this work one after the other.
05:23In 1998, Javed Chandio corrected the spelling and writing errors of the old Divan.
05:29Then in 2002, Tahir Mehmood Qureza presented five ancient Kalmi prescriptions.
05:34Surveyed approximately 400 Ikhlafi Maqamat
05:38And then in 2014, Mujahid Jatoi did wonders.
05:42He has tested over 30 Kalmi prescriptions for ultimate cure.
05:47So what was the issue actually?
05:49The issue was of ritual writing
05:51The Sarai ritual of 120 years ago was not so strong.
05:55In older scripts, be and pe or te and te were often written the same way.
06:00Now, this obviously caused a lot of confusion between the copyists and the printers.
06:05Whereas today's rituals are very clear and fixed.
06:08Here's a classic example of this:
06:11Lavas Tha Saade Tol which means our gro or our companion
06:15But due to a small mistake by the copyist, this love became sadol.
06:20Which means jealous or laughing
06:23Just think, one small mistake and the meaning of a very beautiful couplet gets completely reversed.
06:28That is why the work of these new experts was so important.
06:31And to end this complication once and for all
06:35Mujahid Jatoi compiled all the 30 ancient Kalmi prescriptions in 2014.
06:41examined them minutely
06:43Behind this one number, i.e. 30, lies a tireless effort to gather centuries-old debates.
06:49So after all this long and arduous journey
06:53Today we can say that Kalam's thought or scroll has now been completely completed.
06:58But the essence of Khwaja Farid's poetry is eternal.
07:02We have corrected the alphabets written on paper.
07:05But the journey to discover their spiritual depths will never end.
07:09Before you go, please consider this.
07:12If Mahreen was only concerned with correcting the spelling and words of her poetry
07:17It took 120 years
07:18So to fully understand the true spirit and depth of this fort
07:22How many lives will we need?
