00:00Uttar Pradesh's farmers are seeing a change in the way they farm and earn.
00:04For Mawana farmer Nand Kishore, it started with 6 acres of land and 24 lakh rupees in
00:09government subsidy.
00:10With this support, he purchased nearly 42 lakh worth of modern farm machinery, including
00:15a tractor, superseder, baler, deep tillage machine and other equipment.
00:20The subsidy covered around 24 lakh rupees, making machines that once seemed out of reach
00:24a reality.
00:25Today, work that earlier took two days can be completed in just one.
00:35And the benefit goes beyond his own fields.
00:39Nand Kishore rents out the machinery to other farmers earning an additional 4 to 5 lakh rupees
00:44every year.
00:45His wife Seema has worked alongside him on the farm for 27 years.
00:58Another farmer, Puneet Yadav, received around 50% government subsidy to purchase a tractor,
01:03superseder and rotavator.
01:05He cultivates sugarcane and wheat on around 60 bigas and also runs a farmer-producer organization,
01:11connecting with other farmers.
01:12For farmers like Nand Kishore and Puneet, government support is helping make farming more efficient
01:18while also creating an additional source of income through farm machinery services.
01:22Do there any of the conditions about certain interventions?
