Holistic Agriculture Development Programme (HADP) is boosting beekeeping in Anantnag. Under HADP, beekeepers in Anantnag received modern tools, technical training, and financial support to enhance honey production. The Agriculture Department’s apiculture wing is actively helping farmers across Kashmir to boost their income through beekeeping. The scheme has empowered local youth and farmers to adopt apiculture as a reliable and sustainable livelihood. Traditional honey producers have modernized their methods, supported by improved infrastructure like processing units and marketing platforms. Anantnag has seen a sharp rise in honey production, leading to increased rural income and promoting eco-friendly farming practices.
